All Hallows Catholic College Newsletter Whitsun Term SPECIALISM SUCCESS Congratulations to Patrick Jennings in Y12. Patrick has been successful in securing a six week paid internship with The Bank of New York Mellon at its offices based in Manchester. He applied for the position through the Career Ready Programme which forms part of the enrichment curriculum offered by the BITE Faculty when students opt to study either Level 3 BTEC Business or A Level Economics and Business. Further to this he was shortlisted for interview and then selected for the post amongst a strong field of students from other schools across The NorthWest of England.

PARENTS AS PARTNERS: Parents we ask for your support with ensuring students understand about respecting the personal space of others. At College we have a 'no touch rule'. We emphasise to students that over enthusiastic or overly boisterous 'play' can sadly spiral too quickly into more dangerous or more provocative behaviour which needs to be sanctioned. We ask your support in making sure that students understand the purpose of this and the reasons it is in place.

COLLEGE PRAYER Prayer for Stewardship Father and maker of all, you adorn all creation with splendour and beauty, and you fashion human lives in your image and likeness. Awaken in every heart reverence for the work of your hands, and renew among your people a readiness to nurture and sustain your precious gift of life. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen. Pray for : Seafarers PRINCIPAL’S SURGERIES

YEAR 11 LEAVERS ASSEMBLY On Wednesday 8 June all Year 11 students are invited to a special leavers’ assembly in the main hall at 9am to celebrate the end of their time with us as they move to the next chapter in their lives. Over the course of this time we expect the behaviour and attitude of the Year 11 students to remain as high as ever and in line with College policies. Full uniform must be worn at all times in lessons and in exams. Students who choose not to wear full uniform in exams may be refused entry to the exam hall. The College will still have high expectations regarding punctuality and attendance and may still refer students to our Educational Welfare Officers if necessary up to the 8 June. We do not expect any students to sign each other’s shirts, unless these are spare shirts that are brought in and not worn at the time. Students are positively encouraged to have a leaver’s notebook that they can sign instead. The Year 11 students have made excellent progress this year and we look forward to this continuing. We wish every Year 11 student good luck over the exam period and hope they achieve the grades that they deserve.
