We especially remember Dave Hall and all those from our community who have died in the past year. Parents As Partners Changes to after school detentions From Monday 30 October all students who fail to attend an after College detention will be automatically awarded 5 behaviour points. If this student then fails to attend the rescheduled date then a further 5 behaviour points will be issued. This will result in the student being isolated for reaching at least the 10 behaviour point threshold for isolation. The student will, in addition, be required to complete the original detention to the satisfaction of the class teacher and the College. Changes will be made to the behaviour policy in College as well as publicised to students in assemblies and staff. This rule also applies to a student failing to attend a punctuality detention as well as subject or pastoral related detentions. It has been implemented due to the consistent and defiant non attendance by a small number of students to detentions which is undermining our behaviour policy and standards across the College. Persistent defiance regards this matter could result in fixed term exclusion or even permanent exclusion depending on the severity of the defiance. Senior Leadership Team Outdoor wear As the weather starts to get colder, we ask the support of parents in ensuring that College policy is carried out regarding outdoor wear coats, scarves. Coats: a black College rain jacket that can be worn over the blazer in cold or wet weather. Scarves must be plain, dark, functional and not a “fashion style‟ scarf. Students should not wear scarves and coats in the main College buildings during the day. Thank you for your co-operation in these matters.
