17 SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS – ETWINNING PROJECT 2020 About the project United nations provided a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet in 2015. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. The Sustainable Development Goals are a call for action by all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection. As the future of world, we need tomorrow’s leaders and citizens to be educated about the challenges. Also SDGs are a great tool to introduce students to local and global issues. With this project, it is aimed to empower the students to take action and learn about SDGs and as Young people are idealistic, Young people are creative, Young people are in big numbers, they have an incredible potential to be the driver of the change the world’s needs to achieve every single sustainable development goals.


AIMS AND RESULTS OF THE PROJECT AIMS • to develop awareness of pupils in 17 Sustainable Development Goals. • To create an awareness in partner schools societies about 17 Sustainable development Goals. • To lead the students develop a the sustainable development effort by integrating the SDGs into classrooms • to inspire students to lead sustainable lifestyles , organize events about SDG and choose career paths that will enable them to solve some of these global challenges. • To create a multinational learning environment. • To communicate in English. EXPECTED RESULTS At the end of the project , there will be ; • An educational pack created by the students for their peers around Europe to introduce SDG (quizzes, short animations etc..) • ebooks and virtual resources consisting of the works done by students during the project • An instagram account of the project • Signature campaigns • Surveys

CLIMATE CHANGE – WATER WORLD DAY 2020 World Water Day is an event organized annually on March 22, since 1993, under the auspices of the United Nations, in order to take measures to combat the global water crisis and to raise awareness of the need to protect water sources for life and the health of future generations 2020 Slogan - "Water and Climate Change" This year, World Water Day focuses on climate change in relation to the need to protect water sources and focuses on supporting efforts to achieve SDG 6:

“Water and sanitation for all until 2030”.
