Environment - The Minsmere Levels are flood water catchment marshes that drain the land from Sibton through Yoxford and Eastbridge, as well as Leiston and Sizewell marshes, out to the sea via the Minsmere sluice. Construction could bring unacceptable water pollution, habitat destruction, biodiversity loss and flood risk to this sensitive aquatic environment. Many animals and plants could be killed or displaced.
