Our work this semester refers to the urgent problem of climate change and the ongoing depletion of resources and waste production in the construction sector, as well as the overall questioning of the interconnected design process. Not only did we question "how“ we should build in the future, but also "if“ we need to build at all. With that, the general perception of space itself has to be challenged and changed. Hence with this different perspective on architecture, there is a need to re-develop the role of the "architect". Therefore we re–defined ourselves as "Spatial agents“. We altered the anonymous design process in front of monitor screens and transferred it into intensive field studies with real interactions on-site and all over Regensburg. In the process, we acted as neutral forces mediating and documenting, and allowing individual contributions for self-sufficiency. Concluding, this semester’s work can not be seen as a finished product but rather as an ongoing process, working towards a sustainable and equal reactivation of the case study "Das Pfoerti”, a vacant building in Regensburg.
