The Folio Selected Works Timeless

Background

Knowledge Enthusiast : A Philomath
People call me Alif. Frankly speaking I am still searching for an identity in this globalized world. But for me architecture has always been a re ection of the collective consciousness, a physical encapsulation of evolving lifestyles. Our new perceptions of life arise from this changing society and develop according to which region, culture or city we evolve from. Architecture which knows no boundaries, will continue to grow with or without the help of technologies and arti cial intelligence. It has no speci c meaning, it is just a sole re ection of space, time and culture in a broader sense.

Non - Standard
A state of Governance Widespread Ideology
Non - Standard, can one specify or de ne non standard architecture? The term has meaning in two elds of knowledge, both which upon rst inspection appear totally miscellaneous. In its very formulation, this idea of ‘non - standard’ obviously evokes, on the one hand, a refusal of normalization, a widespread standardization as a determining principle of politics that deploys standardized mass production. The two structural gates represent the coalition spirit built by fellow war buddies, where all this calls for an extension of vision and imagination never before attained. Inspired by the upcoming election in Malaysia, my dearly beloved country.

Bitara : Logue

The Framework : Sosioeconomical Fabric of Alumnus
The Bitara : Logue was designed as a symbol of extensive income hub point for users to experience wide range of activities. Derived by the identity of its economical fabric, this centre opens its internal and external layout plan for students, alumnus and locals to educate, interact and indirectly bursting the local economical factor. The building is centralized by the core event hub in which it holds the main green point feature throughout the building. The site’s movement framework concerns about its structural aspects of movement, particularly on rapid lifestyle. The ingress and egress experience and inside out connectivity distinct its sense of places and catering the context.

Dystopia 332
Nations of Utopia : Treasure-trove of Ideas about Tomorrow

One computational method of living with formulas. Dystopia 332 embodies computer aided design whereas a future is envisaged when designer no longer be constrained by mass production and the limitations of standardised factory components. This series envisions a spatial architecture using a “ one-to-two-third” rational that would exist purely in the virtual world. As we live in this current information society, all manner of data can be collected, transmitted and relocated while also forming a fundamental building blocks. These Dystopian red theme blocks act as microcosm of the world city as a whole (tomorowness), familiar yet strangely alien, unjusti ed yet rational.

Golden Age

A Philosophical Timeline in A Form of Fractured City

Inspired by the establishment of the rst Islamic state, this series assimilated knowledge & information where they are democratized and it became possible to make a living from simply writing and selling books. The used of paper spread from the region of China into Muslim Regions in the 8th century, and then to rest of Europe in the 10th century. The conceptual form of this statement concretization, in which its materialization sidesteps the process of modular built-up area, as it does the study of form. A timeless ideology of this city, with its dimension projects it once again towards the monumental in a new spatialness. Utopia, no Utopian.

Serial Vision : Eyes Upon the Street
Putrajaya, an urban thoughtful city which allocates itself as the ruling body of Malaysia, continue to manifest its idea on the way of living. This project envisions absolute transparency through its vibrant material and the sense of tectonic architectural enigma. The used of sequence marker plotted along the site is to emphasize pedestrian experience moving through a built environment, using such nodes as point reference. Jane Jacobs’s Eyes Upon the Street embodies the sense of cohesion, increasing the character of these public spaces through high density neighbourhood. It also acts as a natural proprietors of the street.
This particular view catches the vibrancy of material used, typically to enhance the maximum points of perspective from one spot. Given the circumstances like shoplot area, future masjid and residential area, this building needs to act as a catalyst between the three main nodes.
