Daily Schedule: Wednesday, April 4, 2018 (Continued) 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM | Breakout Sessions Active Shooter Awareness (Azalea B)

Retirement Plan Administration (Azalea C)

Speaker: Chris Hargrove of Dynamic Security, Inc.

Speaker: John Cottee, Regional VP of Mutual of America

This informative and timely session will review the basic recommended individual actions to be taken during an active shooter incident. The speaker will provide attendees with detailed preventive action considerations and case studies, employer active shooter probability, and a review of individual physical behavior signs. Attendees will also be provided a detailed preventative planning sheet to use as a reference and training tool.

Managing a retirement plan can often be burdensome and overwhelming. We recognize that not everyone has been thoroughly trained on the responsibilities and duties of being an administrator. This session will ensure that each member has a better understanding of how a retirement plan operates, the duties and responsibilities of an administrator, and how to best use the benefit to improve employee retention and attract new talent. We’ll also discuss plan costs and how to ensure you’re not overpaying.

Ergonomics in the Workplace: Posture, Biomechanics, and Tools to Help Reduce Injury and Health Risks (Azalea D) Speaker: Murray L. Harber, Executive Director, Mississippi Business Group on Health The modern workplace has many types of workplaces, workspaces and work behaviors. No matter if you sit, stand, walk, or do many movements during the day - if you sit too much or stand too much or use poor body mechanics - you have increased risk of injury and disease. New research is showing that those who sit for a majority of the day have increased risk of obesity and heart disease equal to risk of those who smoke on a regular basis. This session will focus on ways employers can design workspaces and encourage work behaviors to reduce these risks. Attendees will learn about ergonomics, workplace habits, and the ergonomic risk factors which lead to increase injury and illness and will leave with a list of ideas to take back to their workplaces.

Daily Schedule: Wednesday, April 4, 2018 (Continued) 10:00 AM | Door Prize Drawings in Expo Hall 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM | Lunch General Session with Neen James Attention Pays™: How to Drive Profitability, Productivity and Accountability We all want (or at least need!) attention to get the results we want. The question is: how? Too often we approach attention as a transaction: we think we have to give it to get it. But that’s not how the most valuable attention works. In fact, attention really only pays when we pay attention to attention itself—when we invest our attention with intention and focus on what truly matters. Join speaker, author, and sassy little Aussie, Neen James, as she explores how truly being intentional makes attention valuable, and why paying attention drives profitability, productivity and accountability. Neen shares strategies on how we can focus personally, professionally and globally to pay attention to what matters. In this session you will discover how to: 1. Accelerate the internal customer experience to create off the chart sales and referrals 2. Attract and engage top performers so they are ready and able to conquer the world 3. Dramatically increase productivity to invest your time and focus on the highest return activities 4. Fuel team engagement and collaboration across the organization
