INTERIOR DESIGNER ALICE

VERONESE

My name is Alice Veronese and I graduated as an interior architect and designer from Marbella Design Academy. I was born in Italy and my passion for interior design developed in my childhood, I’ve always loved decorating spaces and I love furniture design objects. I love travelling since I was young, I’ve studied and learn in different countries to embrace myself with different cultures, languages and architecture. At the age of 17 I moved to Canada to study and learn English and learn something about different cultures and people. Now I’m currently studying in Marbella and I have worked for an architects studio in Torino, Italy.

I am experienced with with all software programs necessary for designing a space, such as 3d programs and technical drawings. I will graduate on may 2023 from Marbella Design Acdemy, where I am proud to have financed my entire education from various work experiences. I plan to further my work experience a soon as I can. I also speak Spanish and Italian I’ve learned to value and embrace variety and as a designer, diversity has become an important part of who I am. Good design, in my opinion, is an expression of many contradictions.

TINY HOUSE

Sustainability in a Tiny House

This tiny house is ecologically sourced and autonomus to minimize his impact onthe environment. I designed this tiny house based on the lifestyle of the clients asan environmentally friendly. The clients, are a couple of influencer working with thesocial media. They wanted a cozy place to call home during the year, and being ableto travel with it and be a contact with the nature. The house is 23sqm and height 5m, with a ground floor and first floor that has access on the roof and itwill be movable with wheels. The tiny house will be fully sustainable as tiny housesalready use less energy, making less waste and making them more sustainable.

OPENING - SUSTAINABILITY - FLEXIBILITY

The concept of the opening is to be in contact with the nature when they travel,so the tiny house is made to be completelely open when its necessary and fullyclosed when is needed like winter months. The house is oriented to take advantageof natural lighting, heating and cooling. You will find in this tiny house innovation, sustainability, creativity and utility especially because in a tiny house you need tooptimize the space and make it functional so you have everything you need.Thehouse is panelized and fully customizable to the demands of the customer.

As part ofa streamlined and efficient system, all doors, windows, and roofing are designed andmanufactured under one roof. Any remaining material is utilized as firewood to keepthe place warm. Around the structure, mod ularity and adaptability are important. For quick backyard setup, the panels may be transported into and around tightspots, such as between your home and your fence, or totally dismantled andrebuilt in a different position. You can practically dismantle it. You may removethe puzzle pieces if you wish to make changes to it. Living tiny doesn’t have tomean sacrificing. In fact, if done correctly, it may be just the opposite. Living littlemight imply that the most significant element of the experience is what’s left.

Where nature and space collide.

The World as we know it, is changing and fast. Every day we struggle with climate change, deforestation, desertification, pandemics, ocean pollution and lack of sweet water. All these problems are getting out of our hands. If we keep living our life and not caring enough, there won’t be a world to leave behind to our next generations. Scientists and architects are already talking about the possibilities of a new life on Mars. Some things are still uncertain nowdays but my prediction for the future is that the Earth as we know it will not last forever, in fact will not last for the next century, meanwhile new forms of life have been found on other planets and some people already booked their trip to Space because they are scared and they want to escape Earth. I want to ble able to offer this people a CHOICE, not force them to leave or stay.

In order to do that I decided to design a Reseach Centre that has as main focus of research on our planet (Earth) and Space (Mars), it will offer laboratories for scientific and astronomical research that every day keep developing to finally reach a point where we don’t have to struggle anymore. The area will offer services for both Earth and Space, to show people how life will be in the future if we take care of it together.

I want to save our world as well as I want to discover a new one, and with this project we will be able to do both.

Research and experimentation will be taken place under the facility , with removed access from the public. The main architectural element of the centre will consist of 2 floors with a water display viewed waterfall and a tower which purpose is taking the ocean water and during its process it cleans and filters it (a water pipe runs through the structure’s center, collecting ocean water, filtering it, and then half of it going back down as a waterfall before returning to the ocean.) The goal of this tower is helping the oceans in cleaning the water to prevent ocean pollution, but also starting to make our life better on the Earth by irrigating more. Located on the exterior of the building you will find solar energy converters which are used to power the building. By converting energy from the sun we will be able to use renewable energy and reduce energy waste. This process will be done by using Graphene, a construction material. A circuit capable of capturing graphene’s thermal motion and converting it into an electrical current.

We want to provide a once in a life time experience to our clients. We want to give them a choice either to keep living on Earth or move to Space. This labatory will not only give our guests a first time look at what a new life for them in space could mean, but also tend to and cater to those who want to remain here on Earth.

FURNITURE DESIGN

Furniture design

I want the sink to be the most visible object in the room, that capture the attention of the eye. The sink is made of glass (transparent glass with green reflections), why? Because glass was one of the main materials used to design during Art Nouveau, other than cast iron and iron. Regardin colors and decorations, a lot naturalistic and floral and a lot of refernce to the marine world. Ashwood one type of light wood and it offers distinctive luster when polished. Its structure almost open grain and is reasonably hard wearing. This type of wood can be stained to almost any color. The shell design is connected with the wave concept, for the curved shape and for the art nouveau design style which is familiar with the parametric design used for the co-working space. They both use curvilinear forms, as used in the depiction and abstraction of nature and its movements. The lines are used to create a series of patterns and forms that are symmetrical and harmonious. These lines can be simple or intricate. Curves are often contrasted with sharp lines. These curves can be robust, delicate, or sinuous in character, but they don’t just form patterns they also portray different elements found in nature.

PERFUMERY

Perfumery in the South of Italy

I have been working for an architects studio called Grosso Audisio Architetti and I’ve been assigned to redesign a perfumery. The goal of this project was designing a space which is elegant and clean but still looks a cheap place, not too fancy. The choice of the materials was hard but with the agreement of the studio I choose as a main material to give some contrast with the colors:

STORE RETAIL

The store concept combines old and new in order to generate a kind of Palazzo atmosphere, steering away from a pure showroom and promoting a new retail architectural format in place of a more traditional retail boutique structure. An enfilade of rooms, each with a different aspect that separate and emphasize the collections. The spaces have different architectural characteristics offering distinct atmospheres generated by a custom palette of colors, textures, and lights. The architecture is designed to complement the pieces on display, making reminiscent of classical palazzi. Differing colours, textures, and light allow each space to possess a distinct atmosphere. Venetian terrazzo frames all the flooring, the walls and the openings, establishing a strong framework within which traditional materials are used to complete the space: moulded gypsum and timber, mirror-glass, marble, leather and carpet. Carbon fiber display furniture is designed as free-standing elements that sit within the interiors. The walls are of terrazzo and the floors are of Palladiana, while the columns and the series of freestanding pieces – including tables, counters, and benches are made of polished marble.

UNIQUE AND BEAUTIFUL

I want people , especially woman, are able to feel BEAUTIFUL and elegant while they’re walking inside of the shop as they are already wearing a Valentino’s piece. The individual psyche of the woman is particularly important to her expression of sensuality. To be desirable, to desire she must have a sense of herself. She must know, the presence and power of her beauty. Studies have clarified factors that impact and result in the pursuit of beauty. Although numerous previous studies on theseaspects of beauty have been conducted, there is still a considerable controversy about why women, in particular, are focused on with a beautiful appearance. People wonder why women have so many clothes and why they spend so much money on them as well. The reason why is because women’s fashion is a whole another world. What woman does not want to look good with fashionable clothes?

Not to mention that they look and feel a whole lot better about themselves. Wearing the latest fashion trend can have an extreme effect to then self- esteem of a woman. When she feels attractive and beautiful, it exudes her mood. Most women love to buy designer and stylish clothes. This is not because they are not satisfied enough, it is about the confidence that clothing can bring to them.

monochromatic color palette

Minimal is the key of modern design, minimal and neutral colors. Modern design is an interior design style characterized by a monochromatic color palette, clean lines, minimalism, natural materials, and natural light. Emphasizes clean lines and geometric shapes. That’s the reason why flooring material is wood and the walls of light grey stucco. The carpet is made of dark fabric to highlight from the neutral colors of the room. The sofa and the armchairs are close to the big window to enjoy the nature and the sunlight during the day. Details are made in copper, to make focus on the semplicity of details.

Angular shapes

Mid Century is characterized by rich colors and bold geometry. Concrete for the floor and for the columns and white stucco for walls and ceiling. I used the bright colors for the furnitures, such as orange for the chairs and blue for the sofa and a mix of bright colors for the carpet, because the materials of the structure are really simple and minimal, giving colors to the decorations give’s life in this Mid Century living room design. Details are in gold (ceilign lamp, wall lights) stone and marble (fireplace). Furnitures such as tables, console and bookcase are made of dark oak wood.

Victorian design Industrial design

elegant extravagant bright colors

The material used for the walls is Stucco and wall molding for the two columns, the ceiling and behind the bar counter on the wall to emphasize the Victorian style. Wall molding was very used in the Victorian Era, as well as wallpaper with flower motifs and bright colors, like the one behind the tv. For the floor I used wood, to give a modern touch on the design but still kept some old materials that were used to design Victorian houses. Details like the lights, the mirror, the chandelier, chairs and table are in bronze to still give the old touch of victorian’s furnitures. The window material is ivory and the design of it is characteristically Victorian. Victorian interiors feature beautiful colors and lots of ornate details.

innovative vintage earth-tone colors casual unfinished

The main material used is Bricks, for walls and for the ceiling to recreate the industrial cozy loft vibes, with exposed pipes. For the flooring I used concrete becuase as focal point is required in every room, concrete finishes are a visually weighty material, they give the area a lot of visual weight. This means it will catch the attention and anchor the area right away. All of these aspects combine to make concrete a great choice for becoming a main point in interior design. Details in the windows and furnitures (chair, table, lights..) are in black iron and oak wood.

ART CENTER

07

A functioning community center that focuses on supporting arts practice, such as an art gallery or museum, a performing arts theatre, a fine arts library, a music library, and a dance studio, is known as an art center. is not the same as an art gallery or a museum of art. Visual Arts Centres are spaces considered functional community centres that allow access to various forms of art, such as painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, filmmaking, architecture, etc. A functioning community centre with a special purpose to stimulate arts practice and provide amenities such as theatre space, gallery space, musical performance venues, workshop spaces, educational facilities, and technical equipment is known as an arts centre. The main inspiration for the design of this art center were mazes and cirles. We are talking about geometrical shapes as squares and circles and the main idea was to play with this two shapes that are really different from each other. With its permeability flexibility and associated open/close visibility criteria, the idea may be used to create both private (secluded) and public (common) spaces. Each is shaped like a circle, which represents community, integrity, and perfection. The circle, like the usage of semicircular arches in architecture, is the most powerful twodimensional form. Circular movement is considered immutable, perfect without beginning and without.

CO-WORKING OFFICES

08

WACO

The terminology co-working means working together. A coworking space is not a normal office space where people work together in the same company, coworking space is an area which can includes architects, lawyers, businessmen, workers from different companies share a space. In the situation where people share an office space, they allow cost savings and convenience through the use of common infrastructure, equipment, utilities and receptionist and custodial services. The cost usually are between 40 per day for a part-time desk , for a permanent desk around 700 per month and a private office around 200 per square metre.

PARAMETRIC DESIGN

-new design and architecture direction

-curving shapes and arcs

-extruded shapes and repeated

-regarded as the design of the future

CONCEPT: FLEXIBILITY

-everyone has his own interpretation

-it can be something adaptable

-something foldable

-it can be a person or a furniture

-something that helps to save space

The main materials I used in the space are wood, for ceiling panels and parametric decoration, a few tables on the ground floor and also the lightining around the column. The flooring for both floors is Perlino white marble with red veins. Both columns and stairs are fordham cement. Glass was used for the tables on the ground floor, in the second floor was used intead of walls around the rooms. Black metal is used as decoration for example around the parametric tables, hanging chairs and other small detaills like around the glass walls. Instead the main color is green suede, you can see it in all the chairs, sofas and armchairs.

INSEED

09

The InSeed food generator has two movable and adaptable rings that can generate its own gravity field and allow for the product to float and be placed anywhere in the house without the hassle. The only thing that is needed is to place the seed inside, two at a time are possible as well, and the device will be able to detect what environment is needed and will calculate the time it will take. Ground and aquatic vegetables and fruits are both able to be grown due to this and it is also visually appealing and not too bulky for any home. We believe that this product will be able to provide more food faster, allow for more families to feel food secured and will decrease the need to tear down forests and trees for farms where farmers will earn minimal wages. It doesn’t require anyone to leave the house weekly to buy food, which is cheaper in the long run and can help with mental illnesses such as social anxiety. As we move into the future and the widespread use of the internet and social media, more problems arise concerning social anxiety. The more people display false realities, the more young people become concerned with their wellbeing and turn to staying at home for long periods of time.As well as this, the COVID19 pandemic has caused chaos in so many lives and has made people scared of physically leaving their house for daily tasks. Although medical professional help needs to be seeked, our product will be able to suffice for people dealing with such difficulties and can give them more time to seek help instead of stressing out about going to the grocery store.
