02 Poster Design

The objective of this project was to design a poster for a series of events at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.

Part of the process was to organize the information and build a clear visual typographic hierarchy system to aid in the quick comsumption of the information. This was accomplished by grouping the information into different categories and applying it to a clear grid system.

For the imagery, field research was conducted utilizing different methods such as collecting materials, sketching, photographing, painting and sun printing in order to capture the essense of the park and create abstract and unique imagery.

Some of the restrictions for this project were to only use three pantone color swatches for the entire poster including text and imagery.

Typographic Booklet

The goal of this project was to demostrate our opinion about what “good” typesetting should look like through the composition and typesetting of the booklet.

The text consisted of two essays about good typesetting, one by Beatrice Warde and the other by Michael Rock who share contrasting opinions on good typesetting.

This booklet demostrates that good type setting should have clear hierarchy, legibility and spacing.

The goal of this project was to design a product that would enhance the user’s daily task of taking out the trash by applying a delightful framework.

This project was a collaboration with an industrial design student who contributed in the development of the product and created the 3D renders.
