Animation Do you love drawing and creating your own cartoon or anime characters? Then Animation Club is for you. Come along and learn how to make your own stop-motion cartoon using your creative writing, artistic and IT skills. Art & Craft Create, chat, and hang out in the Art & Craft Club! Explore different ways to make art, have a go at new craft projects, and just have a fun, creative time together. Learning Outcomes: • Test out crafting skills and play with different materials • Develop skills with hands-on art forms like drawing, painting, and sculpting • Share your creativity and grow more confident in your artistic skills

Art - Watercolour (Years 2 - 3) In this fun and creative EPA, children will explore the world of watercolour painting through guided projects and free expression. They will experiment with colour mixing, brush techniques, and different textures while developing their artistic confidence in a relaxed, supportive environment. Learning Outcomes: • Learn basic watercolour techniques, including washes, blending, and brush control • Understand how to mix colours and use them effectively in a composition • Build confidence in self-expression through independent and guided painting projects

Art - Watercolour (Years 4 - 6) Encourage young artists to explore watercolour with confidence and creativity. Students will enjoy learning techniques for mixing paint, caring for a brush, and stroke-making, then practice creating watercolour masterpieces of their own. Art Club Art Club is a place to explore your creative interests and talents through working on your own personal art projects. Learning Outcomes: • Exposure to a range of art mediums including a number of drawing and painting materials and approaches • Opportunities to work both collaboratively and independently • Space and support to practise being self-directed learners

Ballet In this EPA, young dancers will be able to explore the grace, beauty, and discipline of ballet. The purchase of a ballet uniform is optional. Students may wear their own ballet outfits and shoes, or a PE kit is also suitable. Learning Outcomes: • Develop ballet techniques, including posture, balance, and grace • Enhance flexibility, strength, and coordination through ballet exercises and routines • Foster discipline, focus, and self-expression through ballet training 3

Looking to unlock a world of flavour, unleash your inner baker, and create dishes that will tantalize the taste buds?! Ignite Your Culinary Passions with Chef Jean’s Bake With Love! We are delighted to be able to bring back this popular pre-pandemic activity. Students will be coached and guided by experienced, well-trained baking instructor, who has been working with Chef Jean. More than just following recipes, this club is a sensory adventure designed to empower young bakers to develop cooking & baking skills that will be invaluable in later life. *Due to the consistent use of flour (gluten), eggs, and milk (lactose) in our core recipes, participants should not have severe allergies to these ingredients. Basic Kitchen Skills This is a paid club and rates are subject to 6% SST. Payment is to be made via KLASSops (Paybill module) in advance. This is a hands-on culinary programme designed to equip students with essential kitchen discoveries, food preparation techniques, and practical life skills in a safe and structured environment. *Due to the consistent use of flour (gluten), eggs, milk (lactose), rice, salt, various vegetables and noodles in our core recipes, participants should not have severe allergies to these ingredients.

Beavers The Beavers Programme is an educational and recreational initiative designed for younger students. It is a part of the Scouting movement and serves as an introduction to the world of scouting for the youngest members. Beavers is open to boys and girls aged 6 - 8. Board Games + Puzzle Solving In this EPA, we foster a love for strategy, critical thinking, and friendly competition through a wide array of captivating board games and puzzles. Our club features a diverse selection of around 30 different types of games, including classics and favorites such as Monopoly, Cluedo, Uno cards, Dobble, Jenga, Scrabble, Pictionary, Twister, and Mastermind. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the world of board games, our club provides an inclusive and welcoming environment for students to unwind, socialize, and exercise their mental prowess. Canva Rediscover the pure enjoyment of writing for plesure and channel your creative output with Canva. Whether it is a poster, a recipe or even a picture book - you will be able to publish your creations and share your masterpiece! CCF: Children’s Christian Fellowship Children’s Christian Fellowship. Volunteer parents conduct fun Bible-based activities for Year 1 - 6 students through songs, crafts, games and interactive videos. Children also participate in the ever-popular annual Christmas and Easter assemblies.

Chinese Drumming This is a paid club and rates are subject to 6% SST. Payment will have to be made in advance via klassops (paybill module) for the whole season. Imagine the exhilarating power of synchronized drumming, the rich history echoing with each strike, and the joy of creating music together. The students will be working towards a performance for Lunar New Year Assembly to welcome the Year of the Horse. This is what awaits you in the Chinese Drumming Club! More than just a beat, Chinese drumming is a cultural experience that fosters teamwork, personal growth, self-expression and creating unforgettable memories together! New member will receive an exclusive T-shirt from Frhythm and drumsticks for their practice session. Chess The Chess Club is a gathering place for students who have a passion for the game of chess. Whether you are a beginner eager to learn the rules or an experienced player looking for challenging opponents, this club provides a supportive and engaging environment for all skill levels. This EPA is mainly recreational, focusing on fostering a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship while honing strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. For competitive play: If your child is interested in joining chess competitions, please contact the external provider directly to discuss opportunities and arrangements. Chinese Painting Grab a brush and explore the ancient art of Chinese painting! In this session, you will master simple ink techniques to paint animals and nature while picking up basic Mandarin greetings and vocabulary. It is the perfect mix of art and culture—fun, relaxing, and educational. Learning Outcomes: • Learn simple Chinese painting techniques • Pick up some Chinese words/ phrases • Learn Chinese calligraphy with writing simple Chinese characters

Cooking with Chef Jean is a hands-on culinary CCA where students learn practical cooking skills and techniques from professional Chef Jean. Participants explore a variety of global cuisines, prepare delicious and nutritious meals, and develop confidence in the kitchen. This club emphasizes kitchen safety, creativity, teamwork, and healthy eating habits, providing an enjoyable way to build lifelong skills while enjoying the process of cooking and sharing food together. *Due to the consistent use of flour (gluten), eggs, milk (lactose), rice, salt, various vegetables and noodles in our core recipes, participants should not have severe allergies to these ingredients.

Creative Lego In this EPA students can show off their engineering skills with Lego. Each week we will provoke our creative skills, problem solve, and think critically with new Lego challenges. Learning Outcomes: • Foster creativity and problem-solving skills through building with Lego bricks • Enhance teamwork and collaboration through group building projects • Develop fine motor skills and spatial awareness through Lego construction

Creative Writing For our young storytellers, do you love using your imagination? Do you enjoy creating exciting adventures, interesting characters, magical places, and surprising endings? Then my Creative Writing Club is the perfect place for you! Together, we’ll grow our ideas, build confidence, and bring our stories to life. Creche Creche runs by Camp Beaumont and it is available for siblings of students attending an after-school EPA, and who are not on a bus service. Crochet (Beginners) Hooked on Crochet: Turn Yarn into Magic! Ever wanted to turn a ball of string into something amazing? In this hands-on class, you’ll master the “magic wand” (the crochet hook) to create your own masterpieces! We’ll start with simple stitches and work our way up to cool, complex patterns. Whether you are making rounds or chains, you’ll boost your brainpower and learn awesome new styles. No experience needed - just bring your creativity! Learning Outcomes: • Hold a crochet hook correctly • Create basic crochet stithes (chain and single crochet) • Complete a small crochet plush project independently with guided support

Drama Club For younger students: This Drama club is the perfect introduction to the world of performance for younger students. Through high-energy theatre games, storytelling, and playful improvisation, students will build confidence, explore their creativity, and learn how to use their voices and bodies to bring exciting characters to life. It’s all about having fun, making friends, and discovering the joy of performance in a supportive environment. Learning Outcomes: • Express and embody characters using basic vocal variety (volume, pitch) and physical movement • Collaborate effectively in small groups to co-create and perform short, imaginative improvisations • Demonstrate active listening and focus by responding dynamically to theatrical prompts and peer cues during ensemble games For upper-primary students This Drama club offers upper-primary students a deeper dive into the craft of acting and stagecraft. Members will explore script work, nuanced character development, and advanced improvisation techniques. Designed to challenge and inspire, this club encourages students to find their unique theatrical voice, develop collaboration skills and develop and refine their performance skills. Learning Outcomes: • Analyse and interpret script text to develop nuanced characters with clear motivations, objectives, and distinct physical/vocal traits • Apply spatial awareness and staging techniques (such as blocking, projection, and maintaining focus) to deliver engaging, audience-facing performances • Provide and accept constructive feedback, using critical reflection to refine and polish their own and their peers’ dramatic work

Cubs (3.30pm - 5pm) The Cubs Programme is a dynamic and engaging youth programme. It is an integral part of the Scouting movement, building upon the foundation laid by the Beavers Programme and preparing young individuals for further adventures in scouting. Students will need to sign up for a 2:30pm EPA before this club. The club will be available to children ages 8-11. Students will: - Develop leadership skills through team-building activities - Learn outdoor skills such as navigation and survival techniques - Engage in community service projects to foster empathy and social responsibility Please note that Beavers and Cubs sits outside of our EPA programme and this information is just for your awareness.

Drone & Photography Discovery Club This is a paid club and rates are subject to 6% SST. Payment is to be made via KLASSops (Paybill module) in advance. Discover the gadgets and technology behind everyday photography and videography, including use of drones and tablets. Students will also learn to pilot a drone with obstacles, navigate through routes, and participate in aerial photography. Embroidery Club Embroidery Club is a fun and creative space where students learn the basics of hand embroidery while expressing their creativity. Students will explore simple stitches, patterns and designs to create their own unique projects. The club encourages patience, focus and confidence as students develop new skills in a relaxed and supportive environment. Learning Outcomes: • Develop basic hand embroidery skills by learning a variety of simple stitches and techniques • Enhance fine motor skills, concentration and perseverance through creative, hands-on activities • Express creativity and build confidence by designing and completing individual embroidery projects

Essential Bahasa Year 1 - 6 This a compulsory lesson for our Malaysian students who have chosen to learn French or Mandarin as their ‘major’ language. French Language & Culture Club (Year 2 -6) Welcome to our Fabulous French Club! Join us on an exciting journey to learn the beautiful French language and discover the wonders of France. Through fun and interactive activities, catchy songs and captivating stories, you will develop your listening and speaking skills and you will become confident in communicating ‘en français’. This club will also help you gain insights into the righ traditions, delicious cuisine and fascinating history of France. Gamelan Explore the magical sounds of the Malay gamelan through an interactive hands-on experience with the school’s very own beautiful gamelan instruments. Got to Dance The “Got to Dance” EPA is an exciting and engaging programme designed to introduce students to the world of dance and provide them with an opportunity to explore their creativity and express themselves through movement. A fusion of Hip-Hop, R&B, Street Jazz, Groove & Kpop and also dance craze from popular music videos. Classes conducted by professional instructors who have lots of experience in dance choreographies and stage performances. The class will be a great fun and experience as students will be dancing to popular songs. Class structure:- Warm up and stretching - 2 short dances to popular songs or songs request by the students - cool down The EPA is open to students of all skill levels, from beginners to more experienced dancers, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. Guzheng This is a paid club and rates are subject to 6% SST. Payment is to be made via KLASS ops (paybill module) in advance. The Guzheng EPA offers students a fun and hands-on introduction to the guzheng - a traditional Chinese plucked string instrument known for its clear and expressive sound. Students will explore basic playing techniques, learn to read simplified notation, and enjoy making music together in a supportive group setting. The programme is beginner-friendly and open to all students, with no prior music experience required. By the end of the term, students will be able to: • Demonstrate fundamental guzheng techniques such as plucking and simple pitch bending • Read and play beginner-level pieces using simplified guzheng notation • Perform as part of a small ensemble, building rhythm, listening skills, and musical confidence EPA club fees vary depending on the type of club and the number of sessions offered in each season. Home Language Mandarin This club is for students with a Mandarin background, who come from Mandarinspeaking families and who speak Mandarin at home on a daily basis. It is a club for Mandarin native-speakers (advanced level) but it is also suitable for our Malaysian near native-speakers who have not fully mastered character-writing yet (intermediate level). The club will be led in Mandarin and will provide students with opportunities to improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, while strengthening their cultural identity. JB Choir The JB Choir is open to students in Years 4 to 6 who love to sing: this is a twoseason commitment EPA, which requires students to commit to both Season 1 and Season 2. We will rehearse and perform a wide range of song styles, and aim to develop a choral team spirit which will be both challenging and fun. The choir will perform at concerts and events throughout the school year and it is hoped that choir members join for the whole academic year. Learning Outcomes: • Develop vocal techniques and musical skills through choral singing • Enhance teamwork and collaboration by harmonising with other choir members • Build confidence in performing and showcasing musical talents to an audience

Junior Detectives Club Junior Detectives Club provides students with opportunities to develop their observation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through engaging detective-themed activities. Students will work collaboratively to solve mysteries, decode secret messages, investigate clues, and complete challenges that encourage logical reasoning and teamwork in a fun and interactive environment. Learning Outcomes: • To develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills • To improve communication and teamwork skills • To strengthen observation and attention to detail

Junior Choir Junior Choir is open to children in Years 2 and 3 who love to sing. It is a great way to sing together and make new friends. The choir will rehearse and perform fun songs. Singing in the choir helps to improve language skills, memory, and boosts selfconfidence. The choir will perform at concerts and events throughout the school year: this EPA is a two-season commitment, meaning students are committed to be in this EPA for Season 1 and Season 2. Learning Outcomes: Performance Opportunity EPA is for anyone who wants a piece of musical theatre - whether you’re interested in singing, dancing, and acting on stage. All interested students will take part in an audition on Monday, 26th January 2026, after which they will be placed in the pathway that best suits their readiness and learning approach in Music and Drama. To ensure a positive experience for each cast member, there will be a limited number of places for each performance EPA. Please ensure you identify back up EPAs. We have no flexibility in the number of places available. For more information on the audition process and rehearsal schedules, please refer to the “Performance Opportunities Parent Workshop” slides in MSP. It is a requirement to commit to both Season 3 and Season 4 to join this EPA.

Junior Magician This is a paid EPA . Payment is to be made via KLASSops (Paybill Module) in advance. Learn visual miracles, impressive & easy to master magic tricks with Chris Cheong, one of Malaysia’s top 10 magicians! A well structured art of magic course that includes soft skills building such as critical thinking, public speaking, and problem solving by The Academy of Magic Malaysia. Learning Outcomes: • Students will learn to create and perform impressive, seemingly impossible magic tricks • Students will develop problem-solving skills by learning to think like a magiciancreative, analytical, and solution-oriented • By using magic as a social and performance tool, students will build self-confidence and enhance their public speaking skills, as magic is inherently a performing art EPA club fees vary depending on the type of club and the number of sessions offered in each season. Junior Strings Ms Angela invites young string players to join Junior Strings, a two-season commitment EPA where students will be committed to both Season 3 and 4. Little Gardeners The Little Gardeners Club is an 7-week hands-on program where children learn the basics of gardening through planting, observing, and caring for plants. Students will explore what plants need to grow, understand the plant life cycle, and learn about insects and healthy food sources. The program encourages responsibility, teamwork, and an appreciation for nature. Mandala Art Club Mandala Art Club introduces primary students to the calming and creative world of mandala drawing. Manga with Mr. Jon Tham Students will learn about character creation, dialogue development, story-telling and plotting with Japanese manga as its primary point of reference. Students will also be given tasks to refine their own art style, improve on perspective drawing, expression and shadow shading. All of the sessions will mainly involve black pencil or black ink pen, as a means to create a strong manga drawing foundation. Mini Chefs by Artsy Unleash your child’s inner chef with our fully hands-on cooking class for Year 4 to Year 6 students! Led by our trained instructors, this program goes beyond recipes to teach independent life skills and healthy habits. This is a completely individual experience where each child prepares their own food and takes full responsibility for their workspace, from meal preparation to cleanup. Nurture Nature The After School Outdoor Gardening EPA is an exciting and interactive club designed for students who have a passion for nature and want to explore the world of gardening. Led by experienced and knowledgeable teachers, our club aims to foster a love for the environment while providing practical skills and knowledge related to gardening and horticulture. Orchestra The JB Orchestra is for students in Years 4 to 6 who learn a string, woodwind, brass or percussion instrument with a teacher inside or outside of school. An exciting range of pieces will be played, including more recent hits that students will love. Students should have been learning their instrument for at least one year before joining the orchestra. We encourage all children to commit to the orchestra for the whole academic year. We welcome pianists but please be aware that there are limited keyboard parts in an orchestra, and so often pianists join the percussion section. Paper Craft Come and make things out of paper and card! Sustainability Club In this after-school EPA, pupils will explore simple and practical ways to care for the environment and contribute to a more sustainable school community. Through hands-on activities, creative tasks and small group discussions, pupils will learn about areas such as reducing waste, recycling, caring for plants and saving resources. The EPA will focus on achievable actions that pupils can take in school, helping them to develop eco-awareness and a sense of responsibility for their environment. Climbing @ CAMP 5 Climbing @ Camp 5 will be an offsite EPA .This is a paid club and rates are subject to 6% SST. Payment will be in advance for the entire season via KLASSops (PayBill). This is an exciting opportunity for students to engage in a thrilling challenge, overcoming fears while developing strength, physical fitness and climbing skills under the supervision of trained climbing instructors. The session will be at CAMP 5 - ECO City Mall, Jalan Bangsar. Children will be taken to CAMP 5 by bus at 2:30pm and will climb from 3.15-4.15pm. Children will then need to be picked up by their parent/guardian from CAMP 5 Eco City at 4.15pm sharp or they can return on the school bus and they will be back at school approximately 4:45pm. Learning Outcomes: • Develop climbing techniques and improve strength and agility • Enhance problem-solving skills and spatial awareness through climbing routes • Foster confidence and perseverance through overcoming climbing challenges EPA club fees vary depending on the type of club and the number of sessions offered in each season. Cricket U11 Cricket offers young players a fun and supportive environment to learn the fundamentals of the game. We focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Through this new EPA we hope to build a love of the sport at Alice Smith School. Football Squads (U9) This is the first year of introducing competitive play. Football Squads (U11) Building on previous skills, players now focus on more advanced techniques, like positioning during play and an introduction to strategic elements like passing pattern and shooting accuracy. Football Competitive Squad (U11) (Invite only) A balanced development of training and competition. Focuses on players development on skill set and understanding of the game. Exposure to tournaments / fixtures in a more competitive environment. While competing to win is encouraged, the primary goal is prioritize learning and improvement to ensure the players develop holistically and are prepared for future challenges in football. Football Skills Mixed (U9 & U11) This club is giving children in Y5-6 a chance to improve their football skills. Joining this session does not get your child into a football team. It should be used as an additional session for children looking to improve their football skills.
