Once you have reviewed the catalogue of activities with your child you can make your selections for each season using Schools Buddy.
Signing in to Schools Buddy
The Schools Buddy login process sits within our Google Single Sign On (SSO), so you will need to use your ‘@asis.edu.my’ account to sign into Schools Buddy. If you do not know your username or password, please contact our IT Department.
New parents and students
For new families, we welcome you to the diverse range of EPA provision here at Alice Smith. You will have received an activation email for Schools Buddy. Please follow the instructions in the email to set up your Schools Buddy account, then follow the instructions above and below to sign up for your child’s EPAs.
The sign-up process
When the sign-up window opens you will be able to view all of the EPAs on offer, these will be displayed by season and time slot. Please view all of the EPA options within a season before making your selections. It is important that you review the catalogue and pay attention to the learning outcomes each activity will provide in order to make considered and purposeful choices.
Please note you can select up to 5 activity preference choices per day. Whilst it is not always possible, we do endeavour to ensure all students can access one of their preferred choices. The more preference choices you make, the more likely it is you will receive one of them.

American Sign Language
Learn a new language that doesn’t use your voice.

Asian Cooking
Ignite your culinary passions with Asian Cooking, led by the team that bring you Bake With Love!
Looking to explore the diverse flavors of Asia, learn new cooking techniques, and create dishes that will wow your friends and family?
This paid course is perfect for those eager to dive into the world of Asian cuisine. The cost is RM860.00 per season, and payment is to be made in advance via KLASSops (Paybill module). This fee covers all session ingredients, cooking equipment, and a chef’s apron, which you get to keep!
Students will also receive an exclusive recipe book and apron from the Asian Cooking course to cherish. More than just following recipes, this course is designed to teach you essential cooking skills that will be invaluable throughout your life.

This hands-on cooking and baking CCA is designed for food enthusiasts eager to master essential culinary techniques while exploring classic dishes from France and beyond. From baking fluffy pastries to cooking hearty Western meals, students will learn step-by-step recipes, kitchen safety in a fun and interactive environment.

Choir

Concert Band
Concert band provides students the opportunity to learn and perform as part of a traditional concert band, playing wind, brass and percussion instruments. Students in this ensemble should be able to play an octave on their instrument and be able to read music. Students will be expected to participate in school performances.

DT Exploration: Advanced Skills
Centers around design and technology initiatives, providing students with opportunities to delve into engineering, creative problem-solving, and practical construction. Students get to investigate and gain expertise in diverse cutting-edge technologies, which they can then apply to create a wide range of tangible products.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Gold Level is the highest level; along with further development of their personal and leadership skills, Gold Level students are required to undertake a four day adventurous journey and a five day residential project. Please be aware that the cost for Year 12 will be higher this year due to two adventurous Journey’s in one year.

Leadership Development Course

Aspiring professional mathematicians should attend this ECA to support their applications for maths university degrees. We explore challenging concepts beyond the curriculum, further the practical applications of skills learnt at A Level, and prepare for maths degree interviews and entrance tests.

• Increase knowledge and understanding of maths-related topics and deepen maths skills
• Develop a repertoire of specific experience and skills to strengthen applications for mathematics degree courses

This Week in History
Engages students in exploring significant, fascinating and at times incredible historical events and people from the past; analysing past successes and failures, we can apply lessons from these to inform our present and future.

Threads of Imagination
A crafts-based club that allows students to dive into the world of macramé, tie-dye, cross-stitch, knitting and more. From vibrant tapestries to stylish garments, students will explore their creativity and develop useful, transferable skills such as needlework in series of hands-on workshops

UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees)
Aims to raise awareness about refugee issues and support refugee communities. During the ECA students plan, organise and lead a range of activities with a well-being focus for students from a local UNHCR school.

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students from the UNHCR schools

Inline Skating
An opportunity for students to learn and practice inline skating techniques, improve balance and coordination, and engage in recreational skating activities. Students must own skates, knee pads, elbow pads, helmet & wristguards and get parents permission before selecting this EPA.

Kickboxing
An opportunity for students to learn and practice kickboxing techniques, improve physical fitness and develop self-defense skills.

In this EPA, students will engage in various experiments, partake in scientific discussions and develop their academic writing skills whilst equipping students with a deeper understanding of science and the world around us.
