Charlottes Kitchen, Charlottes Square, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne

This project was delivered to the Newcastle city council in their request of a cultural venue within the city. More precisely the urban district of St James boulevard. The venue is situated around many other community buildings from Food, Performance, Art and religion. Therefore, it was essential to create a structure that would both support and promote these while also being a sustainable structure that would remain for a long period of time.

Technology Report, Charlottes Kitchen.

This project explores the essentials of architectural design principles as they relate to their justifiable selection and successful implementation in structural, environmental, and construction technologies. This project supported the design recommendations and was coordinated with Charlottes Kitchen, as previously seen. The report serves as proof of comprehended concepts and practical implementations of sustainable building design, environmental principles, and construction communications. The assignment asked for a comprehensive understanding of aesthetics, structural performance, fire performance, suppliers and manufacturers, construction rules, codes of practise, health and safety, and detailing.

Project 2 Boats of the Tyne Museum

Due to the closing of the industrial industries that formerly peppered the Tyne's shore, locals have gradually migrated away from the river over the years. Therefore, Unclaimed and abandoned land has been left. The purpose of this project was to reconnect the residents of North Shields and Newcastle-upon-Tyne with the river that helped to form their modern towns and villages. The community is gently reminded of the area's rich history by the Boats of the Tyne Museum, which encompasses Roman, mediaeval, industrial revolution, and current times.

The museum works to inform the populace while deliberately allowing them to experience the workers emotions, simulating how it would have felt to stand at the end of three docks with a looming hull glaring over the activity below and steel scaffolding dominating the workers.
