J O S E R I Z A L
José Rizal (1861-1896) is regarded as one of the most important individuals in Filipino history. He was a versatile scholar and political activist most known for his political writings, which spurred the Filipino revolution and eventually led to his death by Spanish invaders. Rizal was also a physician who had ophthalmology training from two notable European ophthalmologists, Louis de Wecker and Otto Becker.

While pursuing a land surveyor and assessor's degree at Ateneo, Rizal concurrently enrolled in a legal preparation course at the University of Santo Tomas (UST). When he realized that his mother was going blind, he changed his major to medicine at UST and ultimately specialized in ophthalmology. He opted to travel to Madrid, Spain, in May 1882, and received his Licentiate in Medicine at the Universidad Central de Madrid
Rizal was noted for his many abilities, including his expertise in medicine, poetry, and essay writing He could paint, draw, and create sculptures. Because he spent roughly ten years in Europe, he became a polyglot, speaking 22 languages. Apart from poetry and creative writing, Rizal was skilled in architecture, sociology, anthropology, fencing, martial arts, and economics, to mention a few.
HIS LEGACY WILL LIVE ON
The Philippine Revolution lasted after his death until 1898. On June 12, 1898, the Philippines declared independence from Spain with the support of the United States
The Philippine flag was raised at General Emilio Aguinaldo's house in Kawit, Cavite, during this time.
Today, the Filipino people commemorate and honor Dr Rizal's genius, compassion, courage, and patriotism. Students and experts are constantly analyzing his two works. Colleges and institutions in the Philippines even demand their students to take a course on Rizal's life and works
Every year on December 30th, Filipinos honor Rizal's life and works by celebrating Rizal Day Filipinos reflect on how his foundation of La Liga Filipina and his two books influenced the early stages of the Philippine Revolution. They appreciate his argument for achieving liberty via peaceful methods rather than through violent revolution.
To honor what he achieved for the country, the Philippines created a memorial park for him, currently known as Rizal Park in Manila. There is a memorial there with a standing bronze sculpture of Rizal, an obelisk, and a stone foundation that is supposed to hold his ashes The memorial is located near the spot where he was executed in Luneta.

How did a simple and noble educator change and touched the lives of millions of Filipinos? It was through his selfless endeavor, to provide the essential rudiments of education to the less fortunate.
According to the 1987 Philippine Constitution's Bill of Rights, education is the right of every Filipino citizen According to Article XIV, Section 1 of the aforementioned Filipino Bill of Rights, the State shall preserve and promote all citizens' right to excellent education at all levels, and shall take reasonable actions to make such education available to all. This legislation is based on the notion that regardless of race or socioeconomic position, the freedom to educate oneself will always be a part of your basic right as a Filipino citizen, no matter how expensive or inexpensive it may be. This might be the driving force behind Efren Peñaflorida's mission to make great education available to even the lowest of the poor
With this remarkable achievement by a Filipino educator, he has indeed proven that education is not a luxury; but, a privilege for every Filipino
DYNAMIC TEEN COMPANY
At the youthful age of 16, Peñaflorida was the group's leader. He had hoped in high school to divert the focus of street children and troubled youths to a more beneficial effort. As a result, the Dynamic Teen Company was formed to guide these underprivileged youngsters toward true personality development and community participation
The Dynamic Teen Company began as a social group of only 20 people. The goals of this encouraging adolescent alliance include providing youth awareness initiatives, self and talent development activities, and emphasizing the significance of community service As a result, in order to secure its success, it joined with Club 8586, another Filipino youth-oriented organization.
Whathashe doneforthepeople?
Efren Peñaflorida made education in the Philippines accessible to anyone and everyone. Through his program known as "pushcart classrooms," the former slum dweller left behind the most innovative method of learning He and the Dynamic Team Corporation spearheaded this initiative. According to Peñaflorida, the major goal of his initiative is to make education a right and a privilege for all people, including street children. By this modest goal, he and his companions were able to inspire children about the value of education To withstand the odds, they are actively seeking willing and generous scholarship sponsors for the benefit of a deserving student who aspires to return to the four corners of the classroom.
Howdidheimpactthesociety?
There is so much value in education that every Filipino should have the right to receive, regardless of circumstance His or her socioeconomic standing in society. Efren Penaflorida has boldly demonstrated from this irrefutable truth. In the eyes of a struggling Filipino society, education has no limitations
HOWISHE SIMILAR TOOUR NATIONAL HERO?
As most heroes use determination to fight oppressors, Efren used something more powerful: love. Just like Jose Rizal, with his deeds of patriotism, he has brought about change in our country through his action of teaching different communities, specifically to the poor He loved the Filipino people so much that he gave everything he had to encourage youngsters and Filipinos to be greater.

Efren's actions may appear insignificant and trivial, yet they have a far greater influence on a struggling third-world country.
