Red blue & lace

This trend utilizes the incorporation of denim with additional materials, such as the sheer fabric featured in this look. This trend may currently be in the rise / early adopters stage in the fashion cycle. Common themes in this look include the micro-lace top, a baggy windbreaker along with a mid-rise maxi skirt. I believe that the 90’s inspired this trend, such as the incorporation of wind-breaker materials along with the usage of red, white, and blue color combinations that can be tied back to many Tommy Hilfiger designs in the 90s. I believe this could be a macro trend, as it’s not only a reappearance of popular trend, we can see similar looks in many styles today. I think this trend will have a huge acceptance, especially with the mixture of denim and other materials, along with just the silhouette being trending as well.

Monochrome

The trend featured here consists of the utilization of either identical or similar colors of different articles of clothing in the same outfit, along with micro/belt tops, baggy shorts, and knee-high boots. This trend is currently in the rise / early adoption area of the fashion cycle. Common themes emerging are monochrome, low-rise, and pointe shoes. This trend could be worn as-is, however, you can also incorporate each of these articles of clothing into different outfits and it’d still be fly. The target consumer appears to be Gen Z, as a lot of the trends featured are already commonly worn by those customers. A lot of these trends have been seen before in a lot of 90’s and early 2000’s looks. I think this is a micro trend, it’ll be big for about a year or two, but it’s popularity will later decline as people grow tired of the baggy shorts.

Metal wear

This trend utilizes thin, draped metal as a halter top along with baggy, low rise denim with accompanying zippers. I believe this trend is at the rise / early adopters of the fashion cycle. Emerging themes consist of draping chains and heavy denim. Each of these two articles of clothing could be worn individually or with other items. The target consumer may be those who can afford such metals, however once it gets into the culmination point of the fashion cycle, cheaper brands will display their similar versions.. This may be a micro trend, it’ll be big for a little while, though it may fall off eventually. It appears like this trend will be popular amongst higher-classes who can afford it, and eventually as it continues to get copied and cheaper, then the rest of us may dabble in similar replicas that we can afford.

Back to 90s

This trend consists of a gorgeous, gown-like silhouette, yet the details of the leather mini skirt and how the shirt parades down into an open-dress are accentuated in the middle. This trend would be at the rise / early adopters area of the fashion cycle. Emerging themes consist of the mini-skirt, as well as the combination of browns & pinks along with the Edwardian-like pattern. This trend would look best worn in a similar way, with simply bottoms so as to display the silhouette more, yet others may style it with pants or another article of clothing. This look appears to be inspired by the 90’s, such the neckline of the top. This trend may be a micro trend, it’ll be great for a little while, however, as it’s a repetition of look from the 90’s, it will eventually start to decline as more fashion trends emerge.

Corset sheer

This trend consists of the classic corset, along with sheer fabric and finally tied together with low-rise leather-like pants. This trend may be at the culmination point in the fashion cycle. Common themes are the corset, the teal & green colors (mermaid), as well as the low-rise bottoms. I believe with The Little Mermaid live action out, perhaps the color scheme was based off of the underwater vibes. Corsets have been gaining more popularity as of recent years, though they first became popular in the sixteenth century. Sheer clothing has also gained recent popularity, so the incorporation of both fits recent trends. Some aspects of the outfit, such as the bottoms, could be macro trends, however, I believe the top is a micro trend. The bottoms will continue to be accepted for a long while, yet the corset and sheer fabrics will eventually go out of style.
