About Me I am a recent graduate of the City and Regional Planning program at Ohio State.

I am a goal oriented, fun loving, forward thinking individual with a passion for cities.

My greatest strength is working with people - clients, groups, customers. Throughout my education, I have strengthened my skills in graphic design, data analysis, public speaking, delegating teamwork, and professional communication.

I will be a forever student. I never want to stop learning and discovering new things that inspire me. I am zestful and want to work towards a long term career making the built environment a comfortable place that supports sustainable life on this planet.

DESCRIPTION

Planning with radical empathy - we put ourselves in the shoes of somebody else.

Elderly, physically disabled, mentally disabled, addicted, single parent, or low income

This project was part of a dual studio with the MCRP students. We created user personas of people living and/or working along the southeast MORPC corridor, Parsons Avenue. People in the studio did field work at Parsons Avenue to determine food security, transportation access, neighborhood integrity, and an overall feel for what it would be like to be this user persona.

After creating the user personas, a charrette was held with local officials and stakeholders that knew of similar user personas or the community surrounding the corridor. The group came up with recommendations for the area and how they would benefit their user persona.

A conceptual design studio. Three projects included a labyrinth, a landscape, and a tower, the latter two combined into one.

Labyrinth: Taking basic shapes and overlapping them to create a complex web of lines. Further refining these lines, a labyrinth is made by designing hallways and stairways out of the lines.

Plan, section, and elevations were made as well as a foam core model.

Landscape: Toothpicks of assorted heights were inserted into graph paper attached to foam core. The toothpicks created the foundation for the design of the landscape. Materials, elevation, and foliage were up to the designer. Plan, section, and elevations were made as well as a foam core model. Other materials used for the model were up to the designer’s discretion.

Tower: An exercise was done where shapes were greated and randomly placeed together in multiple fashions. The most architecturally interesting was selecred as the facade of the tower. From there, windows, hallways, and rooms were added. Plan, section, elevation, and orthographic projection were created as well as a foam core model.
