Teacher Appreciation Week Lucky Goody Bags
SHS Key Club made a popcorn station for teacher appreciation week & handed out goody bags!
We made goody bags with skittles and ROLOS during St.Patrick’s day to put in faculty mailboxes.
Positivity Turkey Hands Chiaroscuro Project
Decorative turkeys were made and Key clubbers wrote positive comments and compliments, they were used to decorate an English Hallway.
Service to School
SHS Key Club
As a service project, we helped finish making tie blankets for the Chiaroscuro project, which is led by a SHS student.
Dog Toys for SPCA
We made dog toys from old t-shirts, tied and braided them, and then donated them to our local SPCA!
Cancer Awareness Pins
During the month of October, we made pins from ribbons representing certain cancer awareness colors, and cards.
Service to Community SHS Key Club
Trunk or Treat
During the Halloween season, we designed paper bags for a trunk or treat event to be used as candy bags.
Find & Seek
Key Clubbers designed find-and-seek posters that were donated to a local shelter that works with kids who have experienced traumatic events.

MAKING BLANKETS
TIMES PROJECT HAS BEEN COMPLETED 2X THIS YEAR
We first completed the first round of blankets in November which were donated to a nursing home. It was completed a second time when helping make them for the Chiaroscuro Project. We have made well over 20 blankets this year.

We started a new fundraiser this year with Newton Print & Mail, which donates 10% of all sales to our club.

COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR
WATTS WALK
FEBRUARY 24, 2024
Our Key Club took part in this year’s Coldest Night of the Year WATTS walk. It is a fundraiser that aids in providing meals, funds, and shelter for the homeless population in the Winchester area.

Kiwanis Pancake Day is a major event held by our local Kiwanis that provides breakfast for the community. It has been a great event for the Sherando Key Club and other high schools in the county to get involved, interact with Kiwanis members, socialize with fellow Key clubbers, and give back to surrounding communities!

Painting ROCKS!
Part of our project for Out of the Darkness was painting/ decorating rocks with fun drawings & encouraging words. They were then given at the actual event
Positivity Bracelets (Key Club version)
Key Clubbers also had the opportunity to make positivity bracelets for Out of the Darkness. We made them colorful and saying positive quotes!

On the day of the actual event, our club advisor, officers, and members volunteered. There they held signs and interacted with many of the attendees while working the booth.
