CONCEPTUAL DESIGN OF A MULTI - FAMILY BUILDING

2022 | INDIVIDUAL PROJECT

DISTICTION IN THE COMPETITION FOR THE PROJECT OF THE YEAR RAR-2

AN IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION IN THE PROJECT WAS THE FREEDOM TO SHAPE THE SIZE OF THE APARTMENTS. THE BASIC MODULE [M2] CAN BE EXPANDED BY CREATING M3 AND M4 APARTMENTS BY ADDING MORE BEDROOMS WITH ATTENTION TO THE ENVIRONMENT, THE ONLY STAIRCASE WAS LOCATED ON THE FIRST FLOOR FURTHER LEAVING A LARGE FREE GREEN SPACE ENRICHED WITH VARIOUS ZONES ON THE ROOF OF THE BUILDING WAS DESIGNED A SPACE FOR INTEGRATION OF NEIGHBORS CREATING PLACES OF TRANQUILITY AND DEDICATED TO YOUNG PEOPLE AND CHILDREN. AS A RESULT, A PLACE SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE OF DIFFERENT AGES AND INTERESTS WAS CREATED

DISTINCTION IN THE UNIVERSITY COMPETITION FOR THE CONCEPTS OF THE BUILDING COMPLEX IN KONSTANTYNOW

THE IDEA OF THE PROJECT

THE PROJECT WAS DESIGNED WITH CURRENT AND FUTURE RESIDENTS IN MIND, TO PROVIDE THEM THE BEST LIVING CONDITIONS AN IMPORTANT POINT IS LEAVING THE INDUSTRIAL AREA TO RESPECT THE HISTORY OF THE SITE AND PROVIDE NEW JOBS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE WAS RESPECTING THE NEEDS OF THE RESIDENTS WHICH IS TO STAY ON THE CURRENT HOUSING ESTATE

AREA WAS DIVIDED BY STASZICA STREET INTO TWO AREAS THE WESTERN PART FULFILLS A SERVICE AND INDUSTRIAL FUNCTION HOWEVER, ON THE EASTERN SIDE, RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS WITH LOCAL SERVICES DOMINATEAND A SMALL MARKET AT THE GREENHOUSE, PLAYING AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN BUILDING LOCAL IDENTITY THE WHOLE AREA IS VERY WELL COMMUNICATED AND FOCUSED ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE IDEA OF A 15 - MINUTE CITY

WALLY'S GARDEN

2021 | INDIVIDUAL PROJECT

THE KINDERGARTEN BUILDING WAS DESIGNED IN THE SHAPE OF AN INVERTED LETTER C SUCH A LAYOUT ALLOWS EASY AND FAST MOVEMENT BETWEEN ZONES AND GIVES THE POSSIBILITY OF GOOD LIGHTING FOR EACH PART OF THE BUILDING. IT WAS IMPORTANT THAT THE BUILDING BE OPEN TO THE SURROUNDING NATURE BUT SAFE AT THE SAME TIME SEPARATE GARDENS FOR EACH GROUP AND A COMMON FULLY GLAZED ATRIUM.

THE MOST IMPORTANT ELEMENT IS AN OPENWORK WALL OVERGROWN WITH VINES. ITS TASK IS TO GIVE MYSTERY TO THE OBJECT AND SEPARATE IT FROM THE ROAD JUST BEHIND IT IS THE ENTRANCE AREA CONNECTED TO THE CHANGING ROOMS IT IS A LARGE OPEN SPACE WHERE CHILDREN CAN STAY TOGETHER WITH THEIR PARENTS

DEVELOPMENT OF THE AREA AT THE LIFT TOWER „FOCH I”

THE URBAN LAYOUT SEPARATES SPACES WHERE DIFFERENT TYPES OF FUNCTIONS ARE DESIGNED, SUCH AS : RECREATIONAL AREAS WITH PEDESTRIAN ROUTES, PUBLIC SQUARES, A PLAYGROUND, RECREATION AREAS AND AN EDUCATIONAL PARK

THE MOST IMPORTANT ELEMENT IS THE MAIN SQUARE AT THE CULTURAL CENTER WITH A CINEMA FUNCTION AND OTHER ATTRACTIONS FOR RESIDENTS. SERVICES HAVE BEEN DESIGNED IN THE FIRST FLOORS OF NEARBY RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS TO CREATE A LOCAL CENTER AND MEET THE BASIC NEEDS OF BOTH VISITORS AND AND RESIDENTS.

BEARING IN MIND HOW IMPORTANT CONTACT WITH NATURE IS, CARE WAS ALSO TAKEN TO TO DIVERSIFY THE AREA WITH ELEMENTS OF BLUE-GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE BY CREATING A BASIN AND A BIO RETENTION DITCH LEADING ALONG THE ENTIRE AREA. MANY PATHS FOR PEDESTRIANS AND CYCLISTS WERE CARRIED OUT

THE MATERIALS USED, SUCH AS WOOD AND STONE, FIT PERFECTLY INTO THE SURROUNDINGS, AND THE APPEARANCE AND DESIGN OF THE BUILDING RELATE TO THE SURROUNDING AREA OF THE STEEP SLOPE

THE BUILDING CONSISTS OF A LARGE, MAIN GLASS BLOCK WHICH IS THE BASIS OF THE STRUCTURE AND TWO SMALLER ELEMENTS SET ON IT ALL UNITS SHARE A COMMON PARKING LOT AND ENTRANCE AREA, HOWEVER, THE MAIN GOAL OF THE PROJECT WAS TO GIVE PRIVACY TO EACH FAMILY AND ORGANIZE A PRIVATE SPACE FOR THEM

DISTINCTIVE ELEMENT OF THE PROJECT IS THE LONG, EXTERNAL STAIRCASE LED ALONG THE CENTRAL WALL THAT DIVIDES THE BUILDING THANKS TO THE FACT THAT THEY LEAD AS MANY AS TWO STORIES DOWN, THEY ADD A BIT OF MYSTERY. SEPARATE FLIGHTS OF STAIRS FORM THE FOCAL POINT OF THE BUILDING

AN ATTRACTIVE, INTIMATE NEIGHBORHOOD SPACE, ACCESSIBLE TO RESIDENTS AND PASSERSBY A RECREATIONAL AREA HAS BEEN DESIGNED WITH MANY PATHS, A PLAYGROUND FOR THE YOUNGEST, A FLOWER MEADOW AND A PLACE TO CALM DOWN AND REST AROUND THE BIO RETENTION BASIN

AN IMPORTANT ASPECT WAS THE DENSIFICATION OF EXISTING BUILDINGS, THE CREATION OF SPACE FOR LOCAL SMALL SERVICES AND THE INTRODUCTION OF DIVERSE VEGETATION SUCH AS GRASSES AND PERENNIALS, AVENUES OF TREES PERGOLAS AND BIO RETENTION BASIN THE WHOLE PROJECT WAS SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTED, THUS CREATING A SAFE, WELL-CONNECTED AND COMFORTABLE NEIGHBORHOOD THAT IS AN IDEAL PLACE TO LIVE FRIENDLY BOTH FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN, PHYSICALLY ACTIVE PEOPLE OR SENIORS

THE GREEN HEART OF CZERWONAK

CONCEPT OF LAND DEVELOPMENT AT KOŚCIELNA STREET IN CZERWONAK

THE PROJECT PRESENTS A NUMBER OF FUNCTIONAL SOLUTIONS CREATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PRINCIPLES OF UNIVERSAL DESIGN A PROPOSAL FOR A SPACE THAT PROVIDES BOTH INTEGRATION OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND A PLACE OF TRANQUILITY WAS CREATED. A SMALL SERVICE BUILDING WITH A SEPARATE TERRACE WAS PLANNED

A DISTINCTIVE ELEMENT ARE RED SIDEWALKS REFERRING IN COLOR TO THE ADJACENT BRICK BUILDING OF THE RAILROAD STATION SIDEWALKS EASY BOTH TO MAINTAIN AND PRODUCE, ATTRACT ATTENTION AND FALL IN THE MEMORY OF VISITORS. IN THE INTEREST OF THE ENVIRONMENT, ELEMENTS OF BLUEGREEN INFRASTRUCTURE SUCH AS A BIO RETENTION DITCH AND PERMEABLE SURFACES IN THE PARKING AREAS HAVE ALSO BEEN INTRODUCED

COMPETITION TO USE ONE OF VJETRA'S ECO CUBE LAYOUTS

2023 | ANCILLARY ARCHITECTURAL ACTIVITIES WORK IN MAW STUDIO

THE PROJECT INVOLVES PAVING THE IMMEDIATE PERIMETER OF THE HOUSE WITH ONE OF THE VJETRA CUBE LAYOUTS, CREATING A PERFORATED "CARPET" SPREAD OUT UNDER THE BUILDING THE PROJECT WAS INSPIRED BY THE INTERPRETATION OF FRACTALS AND THEIR SETS, SPECIFICALLY, THE SIERPINSKI TRIANGLE AND THE SIERPINSKI CARPET

THE PROPOSED SOLUTION FACILITATES COMMUNICATION AROUND THE HOUSE AND ACCESS, WHILE STILL LEAVING PLENTY OF BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE AREAS BY PULLING INDIVIDUAL ELEMENTS OUT OF A COMPACT ARRANGEMENT, TRIANGULAR FIELDS OF DIFFERENT SIZES ARE CREATED, WITHOUT INTERFERING WITH THE SHAPE OF THE CUBE SUCH A PROCEDURE MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO CREATE INTERESTING, IRREGULAR PATTERNS GIVING OWNERS A FREE HAND IN INDEPENDENTLY SHAPING THE COMPOSITION AND ADAPTING THE SPACE TO INDIVIDUAL NEEDS.
