45 Civic/Institutional | Loiza Building

Loiza Building is a multiuse and sustainable building located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The programs consist of a laundromat, office space, a chess academy, and an orchad. In the center of the building an atrium is proposed creating a heat chimney so the building can have cross ventilation. Also, all windows are ether protected from direct sun light by a setback or by a vegetation mesh. The orchad in the upper level is design with individuals platforms that can turn 360 degrees. This way people can come and rent a space and have their own crop.
