SAFETY THAT LEADS PROJECT DELIVERY

At Aldridge, safety is integral to our operations, influencing every aspect of project delivery. From initial planning sessions to final energization, safety shapes our decision-making processes, the tools we utilize, and the outcomes we achieve. Our commitment to preventing serious injuries and fatalities directly supports predictable, high-quality project delivery.

Our ‘STOP THE SHOK’ program is central to this approach. SHOK—seriously hurt or killed—targets the exposures most likely to lead to life-altering outcomes. By embedding safeguards across our operations, we not only protect our people but also strengthen project performance. These safeguards include:

• Self-Retracting Lifelines (SRLs) for reliable fall protection

• Energized Electrical Work Permits (EEWPs) to manage arc flash and shock risks

Aldridge crews successfully delivered the infrastructure and equipment for an electric vehicle (EV) charging pilot project in Southern California, completing the work within a six-week timeline. Using our integrated project delivery approach, the team utilized prefabricated ductbank racks, Virtual Design Construction (VDC) to ensure timely delivery.

Greenlane, a key player in building nationwide EV charging infrastructure for heavy-duty commercial vehicles, will open its flagship electric truck charging station in Colton, California, this spring.

This marks the start of Greenlane’s first commercial EV charging corridor, connecting Los Angeles and Las Vegas along the I-15 corridor. To learn more about Greenlane, visit www.drivegreenlane.com.

FLAGSHIP FACILITY IN COLTON

The Colton charging station has 40 chargers, accommodating a variety of electric vehicles. It’s a key step in Greenlane’s plan to build a reliable charging network for fleet operators across the country.

HIGH-SPEED, RELIABLE POWER DELIVERY

The station features 400 kW dual-port chargers with lightweight, oil-cooled cables for faster, more efficient energy transfer. For bobtail charging, 180 kW units support fleet operations with integrated smart energy management.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY WITH SOLAR INTEGRATION

Future phases will include solar panels and battery storage systems to enhance energy efficiency and manage peak demand.

FLEXIBLE INFRASTRUCTURE FOR FUTURE GROWTH

The site is equipped with Trenwa precast cable trench, making it easier to expand and upgrade as demand grows.

As the first in a nationwide rollout, this facility supports both battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, setting the stage for the next generation of fleet infrastructure.

SMART TOOLS, SMARTER EXECUTION

RENEWABLE ENERGY | SOLAR FARM ROBOTIC PANEL INSTALLATION

A 200-acre capped landfill is being repurposed into a renewable energy source by installing a ground-mounted solar PV system. To meet the speed-to-market demands and ensure safety on this project, our crews are utilizing the Ozzy Modlifter, a robotic system designed to enhance solar panel installation. By reducing manual labor and accelerating the installation process, we ensure that the solar farm delivers reliable power to county buildings, optimizing space and energy use.

PRECISION PILE DRIVING

At the world’s largest airport-based solar farm, Aldridge crews are leveraging a Pile Driver to install solar foundations with precision. This three-phase, landmark project spans 183 acres and will include 87,478 solar panels. It will generate enough energy to power 3,675 homes annually. Through the integration of Trimble technology, crews were able to document existing conditions and develop a pile plan that optimized installation time and quality.

STREAMLINING PROJECT MANAGEMENT WITH ArcGIS

ArcGIS software is transforming the way we plan, build, and manage projects. Centralizing all project data into one platform ensures real-time, geotagged field data is easily accessible to all teams. This solution improves communication, accelerates decision-making, and allows us to visualize project progress in a way that identifies potential challenges before they arise. By providing stakeholders with customized map layers—ranging from utilities to right-of-way—we can plan more accurately and keep projects on schedule.

ArcGIS INNOVATION

INNOVATION AT WORK

CUSTOM INSTALLATION FOR RAIL SYSTEM UPGRADE

For use on a major rail rehabilitation project in Washington, DC, Aldridge innovation specialists developed custom rail carts that allow for the efficient placement of prefabricated lighting fixtures directly on train tracks. This custom tool reduces setup time, provides a more ergonomic approach, enhances quality, and minimizes worker exposure to lead-coated tracks. These installations must be completed during service adjustments, where time is limited.

DATA CENTER | PREFABRICATED POWER SOLUTIONS

Aldridge provided comprehensive power and telecommunications solutions for a hyperscale data center project, including the installation of medium voltage systems, temporary power, and telecommunications infrastructure. Our Preconstruction team engineered and prefabricated custom temporary power distribution conex boxes, ensuring reliable power to a greenfield campus throughout the early construction phases. In addition to the temporary power systems, we also installed fiber optics, cabling, and network systems to meet the high bandwidth demands of the facility. This innovative approach allowed the project to stay on schedule while supporting the complex needs of the hyperscale data center.

ROADWAY TUNNEL SAFETY AND LIGHTING ENHANCEMENTS

Just outside Washington DC, a tunnel lighting upgrade project is working to improve motorist safety and infrastructure longevity. The project scope includes installing a temporary lighting system, replacing nearly 500 fixtures, and adding a fire-rated ITS & CCTV system. Prefabricated lighting assemblies reduce on-site labor, accelerate installation, and minimize worker exposure to live traffic, ensuring a safer, more efficient project.
