During the past six months, the consequences of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine continue to unravel. Energy prices are skyrocketing making citizens struggle to make ends meet, meanwhile attacks on civilian infrastructure and energy facilities continue in Ukraine. This issue focuses on how liberals are facing these challenges.
The Bulletin features the testimonies of three of our Ukrainian member parties: Servant of the People, Golos and the European Party of Ukraine. It also contains interviews with: European Investment Bank President Werner Hoyer, President of Reykjavik City Council Þórdís Lóa Þórhallsdóttir, and AIM Working Group coordinator for Civil Liberties & Human Rights Wiebke Rueterjans.
It also features op-eds from Speaker of the Lithuanian Seimas and party leader of the Liberal Movement Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, and European Parliament Vice President and leader of Progressive Slovakia Michal Šimečka MEP.
