Barcelona, 1993. I am a young architect from Spain, currently based in Trondheim (Norway), where I study a Master of Science (Msc) in Sustainable Architecture at NTNU. I completed my education at ETSAB and also spent one year as an exchange student at AHO in Oslo.
from Climate Science to Graphic Arts, from History to Geometry. Throughout my experience both as a student and professional, I have always tried to broaden
I would describe myself as a
and mix Architecture with other dis ciplines. From my point of view, I think it is enriching to explore as many areas of knowledge as possible, and always learn from them. This innate curiosity has led me to work in radically different fields, besides Architecture. First, my passion for History and books brought me to work as an intern at ETSAB’s Library, and later as a research assistant at Docomomo Foundation. Some years after I also had the chance to work in Health Care, where I discovered a completely different and new sector. In parallel to my formal training as an Architect and researcher, I am also developing a self-tau ght career as a graphic artist. In this field, I have explored different techniques thanks to the many commissions I have done, from collages and ink drawings to wall murals.

SANT ADRIÀ DE BESÒS (BCN AREA, SPAIN). Located in a spot next to the Besòs River, this project works at two levels: in the urban scale, it stablishes a connection between the centre of Sant Adrià and the Eastern boundary of Barcelona. This is pos sible thanks to a new pedestrian bridge over the Besòs, linking both cities. In a smaller scale, the exercise also tackles the relocation of the Sant Adrià Tennis Club, from its current position to a much better one. The proposed new club will also be also su rrounded by a public sports area, well connected to the town centre of Sant Adrià.
BANYOLES (CATALONIA, SPAIN). This project is a remastered version of a 2012 school work, which I took as an exercise to develop during a Revit Course in 2020. Clearly infuenced by vintage style, this project is also inspired by the American Mid-Century Movement and Scandinavian Architecture from the 60s and 70s. The building is based on a structure made of steel beams and pillars, giving place to a reticular network that can organize the different spaces.
BERLIN (GERMANY). The main purpose of the xercise is to connect the two sides of the railway, both from above and undernea th. Throughout the new area, we mix com mercial and residential use with workshops, offices and cultural spaces. The project gives also a chance to nowadays’ abandoned spa ces under the rails, which can be re-used for woodwork or car repair workshops. In ad dition, we integrate some of the nowadays abandoned buildings in the new system. With Ivette Solé and Judit Solerdelcoll.
OSLO (NORWAY). Cartographie Cul turelle is an initiative by Eriksen/Ska jaa, AHO and the IFN. Since 2015, it has mapped, catalogued and studied the current situation of cultural institution buildings in Oslo, as well as those empty potential spaces around the city as a re sult of the government’s policy of moving them from the centre to the Fjord area. An exhibition about all this research was held in 2016, displaying maps, drawings, models and texts. Everything in the ex hibition, including the design of the dis play, the furniture, graphics and also the organization of the events was done by the course students, under the direction of Joakim Skajaa.
OSLO (NORWAY). The old locomotive warehouse in Middelalderparken is turned into a Research Cen tre for Archaeology. The new building includes a vast archive of archaeological pieces that will be visitable as a museum. As a project strategy, the items of the collection are classified in a giant grid in the ground floor, while labs and working rooms are placed in the in-between spaces. The museum and research centre is placed in a privileged location: not far from downtown Oslo, and surrounded by the ruins of the medie val Royal Palace. AHO Works: prize for excellence in professionality (finalist).
L’HOSPITALET (BCN AREA, SPAIN). The main challenge in the project was to deal with a completely amorphous urban space, having to solve the corner of a block in a rather intense area near the town centre. The project includes a new housing building with 100 dwellings of different sizes and shapes, and also a series of apartments in old workshops nearby. With Adrián Olmo.
BARCELONA (SPAIN). By using the Grasshopper parametric design tool, we had the chance to create also a few urban furniture elements, such as street lights and bus stops, through geometric operations. The final step of this exercise was to put all these elements together and design a new public square in a round about in the city’s Harbour. With Ramón Espelt.
BARCELONA (SPAIN). Empty space, a subject for criticism, is not an easy issue to face. Its width, its lenght... are not easy to control and we usually make the same mistakes in our projects. In the following examples we try to understand, through the use of different elements and typologies, how to create these spaces and also to recognize project strategies for future practical cases. With Bernat Bastardas.
PALMA (MALLORCA, SPAIN). S’Oliverar, in the outskirts of Palma, is an area with huge empty and potential areas. The main strategy was to follow the existing urban pattern in the surrounding area, while adding parks in strategic places and a green boulevard to connect the south with the north. The basic particle used in the pattern combines workshops and shops in the ground level with apartments upstairs. This mix ture also creates terraces for the community that can be used as gardens. With Bernat Bastardas.

BARCELONA (SPAIN). A playground in Barcelona’s seaside avenue, meant for both children and adults. The whole playground was designed following accessibility criteria, so it can be used by people with func tional diversity of all ages. A big Sea Monster that acts as a guiding thread and path, while other games and elements are organised around it. The project was our proposal for a 2022 competition issued by the city’s Local Government. With Adrián Olmo.

BADALONA (BCN AREA, SPAIN). 3D model and renderings for a housing project in Badalona, not far from the sea. The renders aim to highlight the building’s many façades and materials, still in an early stage of the project. Architects: Jaume Riera & Eulàlia Rovira (A12 Arquitectes)
Arts website & shop project, 2020-2021
In parallel to my career and education as an architect, arts and creativity have always been my hobby. In 2020, I decided to try some sort of buisness adventure related to it, taking commissions and also selling my own prints and drawings. The e-commerce website, which I have been building for the last two years in my spare time, is also aimed to display all the works and projects I’ve done so far in the arts field.
BARCELONA / Private commission. Nativitas Di nosaurum (birth of a Dinosaur) was my first -and for now only- wall mural in my career as an artist. The work was part of a full renovation project of a private flat in Barcelona, and placed in the future room of a newborn child. The mural, painted 100% with acrylic paint, has a total height of 2,7 m and width of 3,15 m.

SANTS, BARCELONA / Commission. An illustration for the BCN Sants Sports Club, a handball team in Barcelona. For now it is only depicted in the club’s plastic cups, but might also be printed on other media in the future. The black and white drawing highlights the club’s logos, and also iconic buildings and other elements of Barcelona’s Sants district.
GRÀCIA, BARCELONA / Open Competition. My proposal for the 29th Poster Competition of the Festa Major de Gràcia, a famous patronal feast in Barcelona’s Gràcia district. A nighty and starry sky over the neighborhood, accompanied by some of the most popular traditions and characters of the Festival.
BARCELONA & LLEIDA (SPAIN) / Collaboration. Kon Tako is a modular piece of furniture designed by NiV, an architecture firm based in Lleida. Starting from the original sketches by Jaume Nadal, I desig ned the assembling instructions in a vintage style that highlights its japanese inspiration. Also, I used a three-color scheme as a way to explain the differences between the many elements. With Jaume Nadal.
BARCELONA (SPAIN) / Private commission. The present commission was a birthday gift from a father to his biker son. He asked me to draw an ink scene that would integrate his motorbike -a Guzzi V7 III- in a fanciful landscape with my personal touch.
BARCELONA (SPAIN) / Private commission. This work is a nonprofit project, a gift I made for a re lative who wanted to customize an old pair of sneakers. She asked me to include a winged heart, and I thought of it as the starting point from which I could create a dual, dialectical and symmetric scheme: a heart of good and a heart of evil, red and purple; grass and waves, green and blue; left and right.
JÖNKÖPING (SWEDEN). A poster for the Language Association at Jönköping University in Sweden. A bunch of bright colors over a plain bakcground, symbolizing the many languages spoken at the café. After trying different color combinations, black was the final choice.
BARCELONA (SPAIN). Competition (Winning Design)
UPC, the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, seen as a ne twork between the different schools and faculties, spread across the territory. This network system is depicted as a su bway map, inspired by Henry Charles Beck’s design for the London Underground from 1931. It became the winner of the 14th UPC Folder Design Competition after a Jury’s selec tion and also a voting process among people in College.
