Calabona (Alghero), Italy
The project proposes the redevelopment of the area of the former Calabona mine through an integrated program that involves the existing buildings, greenery and paths. The intervention aims to redevelop and reconnect the space of the mine to the context in which it belongs, creating a new production center for wine. Today the former mine looks like a large isolated space with a very strong identity marked by the traces of history. The goal of the project is to give new life to the old mining settlement, so that it becomes an attractive pole for future generations, through a series of interventions that allow for the reconversion of buildings now in an advanced state of decay. The main focus will be an itinerant cultural itinerary, through which the visitor will discover the fascinating history of the mine and the evocative production cycle of wine with all its secrets. The two production worlds will find a junction point in the large underground tunnels that derive from the ancient mining work, within which the best grapes will be aged.

Punta Rossa (Caprera Island), Italy
The project for the Punta Rossa batteries arises from the principle of redeveloping the forts through design gestures that constitute a distinguishable element throughout the area and at the same be the tie-rod for the modulation of spaces and areas. In a first phase it was envisaged that, in order to cope with the difficulty of re-conolizing this complex in a widespread way, the intervention will be concentrated in the first area, more similar to a reuse intervention which involves the inclusion of the new sport functions. The first design gesture was therefore to enclose a portion of the sea in such a way as to create a safe environment protected from the strong tides and currents present in the area. For this purpose, two reinforced concrete partitions have been created that delimit a swimming pool directly on the sea. The swimming pool, together with the element of the base/podium that hierarchizes the interspace between the buildings, are the only new construction elements that have been included within the project. Together with the swimming pool, some pre-existing buildings have been reused to create a sports and relaxation area mainly for tourism purposes. The positioning of the base/podium on the first area arises from the interpretation of the morphology of the fort which strongly depends on military needs. The existing buildings are strong-mind oriented towards the sea and represent the old barracks, refectories, etc. And it is precisely in this delicate cortical part of the fort, historically the seat of the civil activities of the fort, that the project wants to fit. Being a very dilated area, it was necessary to restore the original paths, which were designed in stabilized earth, in order to connect the various areas of the site. In the area where the gunboats are located, a refreshment point with a panoramic view has been provided, which is added to the sports area as an annex. Going further south to Punta Rossa, in fact, a leisure and entertainment area was designed, including an open-air disco at the highest point in the area, exactly where the old gunboats stood. This idea was born from the strong environmental potential of the place, with a virtually 360 panoramic view of the sea. To unite the design gesture in all the various areas of the area, it was planned to create a base/podium in all the buildings on the site, in such a way as to bring out the pre-existence.
Baratuli Castle (Monastir), Italy
The medieval fortification process that affected the island, especially in the era of the judged, has built a network of defensive buildings which ensured the military garrison on the Sardinian territory for hundreds of years after the X century. The castles, although today they are almost everywhere abandoned and degraded, constitute a system of significant artifacts on which it is based the recognition of the local landscapes. The historical asset value has long been at the center of strategies for the protection and conservation of these monuments, but there is no real valuation process to redefine these places through new forms of enjoyment and use. The contemporary architectural design on the layered landscape, integrating and upgrading of its historical heritage of quality architecture, whether ancient or recent, is the main theme of this project.

Marina District, Cagliari, Italy
The Marina District is one of four historic districts of Cagliari: Castello, Villanova, Stampace and Marina precisely. Over time, this neighborhood has always had great importance for its proximity to the harbor of Cagliari, the main link of the city both for business and for connections to other locations. This has resulted in the centuries that the neighborhood was the scene of a parade of people from different foreign countries, that has an impact even today, as the district is the largest foreign community in the city, making it the largest multicultural center of the entire region. In fact, the main theme of the project starts from Cagliari understood as city plot of cultures, then flowing into a contemporary space for a multi-ethnic city which is Cagliari. To this end, the project focuses on the development of civic hall that can tell, through various events, history and all the cultural processes involving the neighborhood. To highlight this desire, I decided to create together with my group, in addition to the hall, an elevated plaza, public venue by definition.
San Sperate, Italy
The Playground Events Cultural Association was born from the idea of a group of young boys with the desire to promote the territory and culture of San Sperate through sport and entertainment. Therefore, the group’s goal is to organize events that attract as diverse an audience as possible, trying to involve both young people and adults within the initiatives. The strength of the association is the composition of the group, which is made up entirely of children under30, which is why it is possible to make even the youngest age groups participate in the events, since it is possible to think of events with both cultural and sporting contents, but with a general attractiveness for all.
From this vision was born the Playground Festival, the main event of the calendar of events. According to the FISB (Free Italian StreetBall) ranking, this is the most important 3x3 basketball tournament in Sardinia, which takes place in San Sperate, in the evocative location of the Giardino Megalitco, a work created by the sculptor and artist Pinuccio Sciola. Every year athletes with ages ranging from 6 to 50 years, coming from all over the Sardinian territory, participate. The objective of this project, in short, is precisely to devise the logo that well summarizes the characteristics and intentions of the association, with particular emphasis on the youthful character of the group and on the type of events organized, mainly of a sporting-cultural nature. without neglecting the strong identity of San Sperate and in particular of the master Pinuccio Sciola.
