This project happens to be the very first one at the art school.
The task had the goal to design a modular structure .
The idea was to design a system of pieces for a hypothecal neighborhood association.
I aimed to equip this group of people with different elements that improve their central plaza by giving them structures to perform open-air exhibitions, activities, markets, etc.
About inspiration, It seemed to me that starting from the beginning of human technology was a natural point of learning.
Navigation was another motor of inspiration. I took the naming of the streets as a pretext (The Canary Islands names) and summed it to the fact that the city of Huelva is fundamentally maritime.
I wanted to use simple elements and offer freedom of configuration. These structures could work integrated with the architectural elements on site and as independent elements.
No straws would be needed making it easy to disassemble. For stability, we could use sand sacks.
For the dimensions of the elements, I decided they had to fit in a small van so the neighbors could move them from wherever they stored them to the plaza.
- EASY TO SET UP - MULTIPLE POSITIONS- SUSTAINABLE - REUSABLE - LIGHT- NO SCREWS - LOCAL COMUNITY - DIFFERENT PURPOSES - FITS IN A VAN-
Fair Stand December, 2021
ENERGY CONSCIOUS - INNOVATIVE - FUN - DISTINCTIVE- BRAND IDENTITY - FAIR - SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS
The challenge of our path as a civilization is to figure out how to keep walking without destroying the world where we belong .
In every step, there is a chance for new possibilities.
CAMPER ideate, design, manufacture, distribute & and sell shoes.
They control every step of the cycle of their products so they can do what they love the most: to coddle carefully and coherently every detail.
At their roadmap, every stop has three goals: sustainability, innovative materials, and looking after their customer’s feet but also their minds and curiosity.
That is why the fair stand I designed intends to play with the primitive essence of a footstep and imaging future and possible utilities for new scenarios
Technology allows us to transform the dynamism of our movements into energy, something vital in a world of intense energy demand.
Every movement we waste an opportunity to generate electric energy, play with these possibilities and keep us away from sedentarism is to fuel the kid inside us playing, exploring, and walking toward a better world.
Camper invites us to think at every step about a sustainable solution without forgetting about having fun.
Christmas float January , 2022
The Star of Bethlehem tells us the three wise men are coming.
We can see it at the end of the street, floating over all the heads. It is at the vanishing point of the perspective of our illusions.
We can see the big party they are announcing. We have been waiting for it. Finally, it opens the parade.
We can hear the music coming. Musicians are stepping on and off it. With every step closer, our hearts are warmer. Our eyes are shining with the magic of lights floating in space.
The star is drawing a golden carpet on the floor creating the magic path for the Three Wise Men to come.
I think about a corner full of colors and smells. The place will grow organically, leaving space for future arches or gazebos. Upcoming students will decide how to continue growing the color pigments patch.
Flowers cross all our senses to get to the neuralgic point of our intellect. In a rational world, we manipulate them, explore and possess them to finally use them as tinctures on multiple surfaces catching their tones in the embodiment of our imagination.
This pigment patch is a good lesson about the management of resources and the importance of caring alive beings.
Everybody will take care of the plants sharing responsibility. It opens a field of collaboration by adding new modular planters, fixing and crafting the seats, and caring for the flowers. Finally, all will harvest the resulting pigments to use in their art.
The whole project lays on Repurposing different materials and elements at the school (A - D).
The metallic net around the old stub of the tree and the bench made of a misused parking bike and wood panels will create a good space for conversation.
Fair entrance May, 2022
The Seville Faire is probably the most relevant event in the south of Spain. 2023 is the 100th Anniversary of this party par excellence. During a week, the city celebrates the start of Spring with serious dancing, singing, and drinking within a space of 450,000m2 with a significant main door.
Every year there is a contest of proposals for designing the entrance . Design usually answers to the intention of honoring the architectural heritage of the city.
Of course, the year a party becomes centenary is significant. I have wanted to honor the feminity and their ornaments for this celebration.
Hand fans, roses, and combs are essentials. Sevilla has become a woman, crowned by her story of architecture with her most traditional crown for this event, the comb. Her rose in front is the passion symbol of vivid feelings; the hand fans are moving all the aromas of Jazmine, Orange blossom, and all kinds of frisson at the beginning of Spring. All these flavors enter thru the fair’s arches.
The first day the party is considered started when the “alumbrao” comes. At this moment, every little lightbulb that composes the entrance got turned on for the first time.
I incorporated luminescent paint background as an inquiry for saving energy. Colors inside the hand fans could be for practical purposes such as reference points or photocall backgrounds.
Intuitional model May, 2022
Block is an intuitive process. The purpose of this model was to explore an organic method of creating spaces and volumes.
Create an artificial rock. Using plaster and porex, I created a void space by dissolving the porex and analyzed the uses my model could have.
I realized if the scale would be big enough, It could offer space on a kid’s scale. A place that is inaccessible to an adult gives an area where the kids can play at their scale.
At a second and more conceptual level, this was meant to be placed in a war memorial.
The optimistic future of playing and the rude memory of the past talk together to find the redemption dialogue of public space.

Form, Position, Color, and Space are fundamental elements for creativity.
This design is not only a functional piece of furniture but also a source of inspiration. It works as an independent item as a bench or shelving. It can adopt multiple configurations by combining other identic pieces and existing ones at the school.
It provides the space with surfaces horizontal or vertical where art pieces from students can be displayed. It also can offer sitting and flexible modules to enjoy the school’s courtyard or fit out with a surface to an open-air cinema or even a stage for public events that the school can hold.
His lacquered pieces in cyan, magenta, and yellow create colorful atmospheres within the furniture that can reinforce the inspirational input in the school.
A shelter-house is a kind of Chrysalid where the mime can evolve from an ordinary person to an artist and vice versa.
Modular furniture and textile walls. Thought to be moved even to the city rooftops. The house of an itinerant artist.
The mime stays quiet and observes the world to reflect it in an ironic version. He takes reality and frees us thru the laugh of ourselves.
The invisible mime’s material. A simple movement of the eyebrows, the way he steps on his heels, the rhythm he elevates the arm. Every millimeter of his body is a word that speaks to us.
The combination of textiles is crucial for giving proper isolation and water resistance; it can divide the exterior and interior flexibly and comfortably.
THANK YOU!
