from the Albany Public Schools Foundation!
We hope your November is off to a wonderful start. Cool crisp mornings and leaves scattered around. You know it is fall.
This past week we held our first Lunch & Learn Evening Edition. We invited Eric King and Russell Telfer from Bridges Wealth Management to discuss all things PERS, social security and health insurance with teachers and administrators who are nearing retirement. They shared a wealth of information, and we hope to offer this again next year.
As we head into November, a month of giving thanks, I reflect back on what we are all thankful for here at the Foundation and it truly boils down to, we are thankful for YOU. Whether you are one of our donors, a teacher who gives tirelessly to your students, an administrator that keeps things running at your school, or someone who gets our monthly newsletter to just keep up with what is happening here at the Foundation. We are truly thankful for all of you.
November starts our season of giving. Giving Tuesday this year is actually later than normal, but still vitally important. The season of giving is our time to ask for your help with a scholarship, or funds to go towards one of our many programs, or help to keep our doors open and the lights on.
Throughout November and December, we will share with you how your donations can help the Foundation and the students we serve. We hope you will consider the Albany Public Schools Foundation in your year-end giving or your required minimum distribution.
With your help, we can give every student every opportunity to succeed!
