We attended the District’s Retirement Social to present a special gift to all retirees, certified and classified. This year’s gift was a potted succulent.
Peely had lots of fun seeing our friends Stinger Steve (and his new look!), and Rocky Roadrunner, and seeing all the kids playing carnival games, getting their faces painted, and roller skating in the gym!
“One of my students was a very reluctant reader and refused to come to small reading groups. When I got the Flyleaf Decodables she finally joined the group. On the second day she said, "I can read and it's so much fun. I love it " She proceeded to walk to specials stopping every adult on the way telling them how much fun reading is.”
