Pastor Willie L. Johnson, Jr.
“Before
you came out of the womb, I consecrated you, and ordained you.” This scripture epitomizes Pastor Willie Johnson, Jr. Pastor Will, as he is affectionately known, accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 9, was baptized, and became a member of Eureka Baptist Church in 1981. Pastor Will was ordained a Deacon in 1986, licensed a Minister of the Gospel in January of 1999. Throughout those years, Pastor Will served in many capacities, such as Study Teacher, Worship Leader, and Choir Director. In May of 2006 Pastor Johnson was ordained under the Bethany Baptist Association. In January of 2007 he was installed as Pastor of Eureka Baptist Church in Wildwood, New Jersey. In 2014 Pastor Johnson submitted to a second ordination through Abundant Harvest Fellowship of Churches under Bishop David G. Evans, Prelate. Pastor Johnson is the second son born to the late Pastor W. L. Johnson, Sr., and Shirley Vasser Johnson. He has been employed by South Jersey Gas Company for the past 27 years. Pastor Johnson is also the husband of Marcia Johnson who is the guardian of his anointing. They have been married for 29 years, and are the parents of three saved, beautiful, and spiritually gifted children, JaLissa 28, Jenae 26, and Emanuel 15.

Pastor Johnson, Paul told the Thessalonians, “Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work
hard among you, and are over you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other” (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13). To paraphrase: We ask you to honor those leaders who work so hard for you, who have been given the responsibility of urging and guiding you along in your obedience. Overwhelm them with appreciation and love! Get along among yourselves, each of you doing your part. We remember as though it were yesterday, the day you made public your call to the Ministry. “We knew it!” was our response. You are truly a man after God’s own heart! And we love you!! May God continue to bless you for what you have meant to our lives!
Thank you Pastor's wife! There are many expectations of you. At times, you are expected to be omnipresent; other times invisible. You are expected to adjust your life to the life of the pastor, who just happens to be your husband. You listen to criticisms of your husband, and you are expected to be stoic. You are the only person in whom your husband can truly confide. When he is down, you are expected to encourage and exhort him.
