The Pastor’s Message Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Grace and Peace, As I reflect on 20 years of pastoral ministry I must first give God the glory for the great things God has done. In May of 1997, little did I know what God had in store for me and my family. By faith we moved from Texas not knowing anyone in New Jersey to fulfill a call placed on my life. I reverence the Lord because through it all God is faithful. After a time of preparation, God brought together a group of people (Mt. Pleasant) and gave them a pastor. God’s vision for us was and still is restorative and relevant ministry that impacts this community, administered in the love of Jesus Christ. Over 20 years we have grown in our faith to trust God for all we have accomplished. It has not always been easy but nothing worth building for God ever is. There have been challenges to learn how to do everything for the Lord with a spirit of excellence with the goal of embracing the character of Jesus in our personal lives. There have been many saints of God who were examples to give us hope and encouragement. Their presence is missed but their spirits live on in their love for God and Mt. Pleasant. More than anything I am grateful for the relationships developed between pastor and people. My sisters and brothers, those God has assigned me to shepherd, have enriched my life and have given my ministry joy. As we continue to march forward in this new millennium God is speaking to us by His Holy spirit to operate (live) in this anointed time of revival. A fresh anointing to make God’s church relevant in 2017 and beyond. My prayer for all of us in this faith community that we become unified as the true body of Christ in this world. May God continue to bless you richly, In all things Glory to God! Yours in God’s love, service, and power! Because of the empty tomb.

Remembering JonRobert In October of 1990 God blessed us with a second son, at ten pounds six ounces. He entered this world in distress but he lived his life and he was blessed. This short, stout, rotund, bundle of joy brought true happiness and love to our family and to the many people he came in contact with. He was handsome, intelligent, witty, humorous, and wise beyond his age. He was what you would call “an old soul.” He could engage anyone in conversion about anything. He loved little children and babies. He loved to laugh. He was an anointed singer; most of all he loved Jesus and his family. He had compassion for people no matter what your status, condition, or orientation. He intuitively knew how to listen to people and their problems without casting judgment and then tell you the truth in love from the Word of God. He was the typical boy who enjoyed the company of the ladies. (Ha. Ha. LOL) In 20 years his life made an impact on this community, our church, and this world. I can truly say there will never be anyone else like our Jon Robert. Son, Brother, Friend, and Saved Sanctified Believer in Jesus Christ as we remember his life let us never forget his favorite bible verse; “For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover up for evil; live as servants of God. Show proper respect to everyone: love the brotherhood of believers fear God, honor the king.” (I Peter 2:15-17) NIV Allow his spirit to live on in our lives. Miss you and love you much, “Jon Robby”, “Deuce”, “JR”, “King Pin”, and “J.” P.S. Your Brothers have something to say to you: To my best friend, I can't wait until I see you again. It's hard down here without you. I still think about you every day. Mom and Dad are doing well. Jonathan still loves music and he's becoming a better musician every day. Missing you makes us sad. But we know you wouldn't want that so we hide it behind smiles and laughter. God wasn't being fair when he took you away but only He understands His plan. So until I'm with you again I'll do my best to be great and love our parents and brother just as much as you do. Love you king, save me a spot.

Six years since you have departed from us and it makes me happy how people still hit your Facebook page and leave a post about you like you were still here. Every time the family is together we always talk about things you did or said as we laugh and smile. Me personally I wish you could experience me growing into the musician God wants me to be.
