Akers received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Texas Tech University. Arran Forbes has joined the Anchorage office of AECOM as an Environmental Scientist. Forbes received her Bachelor od Science in Environmental Science from Dartmouth College in 2010.
