Cuttlefish can change their skin color and patterns on their bodies in a blink! They use this to hide from predators, talk to other cuttlefish or sneak up on prey like crabs and fish.

GUNNISON COUNTRY FOOD

PANTRY: The first Wednesday of each month a semi-truck from Colorado Springs brings thousands of pounds of food for neighbors and we need groups and individuals to help unload the truck at 9:45 a.m.

We are also looking for dedicated volunteers to help with food pickups from local vendors on Wed’s and Fri’s 8:30-11a.m.

This role is a vital link between generous stores and the families we serve. It includes lifting up to 50 lbs, driving safely and timeliness.

Additionally, we need volunteers in-store, with opportunities for

greeters, organizers, drivers, stockers and more. No matter your skills, there’s a spot for you. Varying shifts throughout the week, all times of day. Together, we can keep food on every table. Call 970-641-4156 to get involved.

BICYCLING IN COLORADO RULES OF THE ROAD & RULES FOR MULTI-USE PATHS AND TRAILS:

• RIDE WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC, NOT AGAINST IT.

• RIDE SINGLE FILE: ride two abreast only if you’re not impeding the normal flow of traffic, or if you are both on the shoulder.

• BE VISIBLE: Never assume Motorists see you or that you have the right of way. Use a headlight, tail light and reflectors at night and early morning.

• SHOUT IT OUT: Colorado law requires you to give and audible cue when approaching or overtaking another trail user. A friendly “Hello- on your left” or ringing a bell is appropriate.

• WHO YIELDS ON A TRAIL: Bicyclists, skaters, walkers and others yield to equestrians, Bicyclists and skaters yield to walkers, Bicyclists yield to skaters, Downhill users yield to uphill users, faster users yield to slower users.

• THINK GREEN: Respect wildlife, never spook animals and leave no trace. Stay on existing trails and don’t create new ones. Pack out at least as much you pack in.
