After over 8 years of travelling to different destinations, what I carry in my bags has changed a lot. Now, mostly I carry a lot of gear related to blogging, but since I first hit the road in 2007, I have learned a lot about packing.

I have travelled with a big backpack of 60L packs, 30L packs, carry-ons, and everything in between. I have been learning different packing techniques through the years. So, what should you pack on your tour?

Light packing is a big challenge for me. But whenever I travel I realize that I do not need a lot of stuff. So now in only one bag I only pack useful things for the journey.

I always use to write down everything I think I will need and then cut it in half. I always think that will these things will be enough for me and can justify the bag weight?. Every time the answer is no as some other stuff comes to my mind that can be useful.

While traveling overseas, I use to take only essentials and buy something from the shop if necessary.

It is easy to find medicines, umbrella, or clothes. To avoid carrying different kinds of clothes I always stick to the same climate during my trips.

However, plans can be changed and if that happens I will have a light sweater and jacket to wear.

Laundry overseas is also the best option to carry clothes for 6-10 days, do laundry, and repeat. No need to bring a lot of stuff when you can just wash what you have.

So, what should you pack now? Well, I am suggesting some packing lists below.

• 7 pairs of underwear

• 1 small bottle of shampoo

• 1 toothbrush

• 8 pairs of socks

• 1 razor

• 5 t-shirts

• 1 small bottle of shower gel

• 1 pair of sneakers • 1 dress shirt • 1 pair of flip-flops

• 1 pair of shorts • 1 bathing suit

• 1 tube of toothpaste • 1 towel

Gear:

Small Medical Kit:

• Kindle

• Hand sanitizer

• Laptop

• Band-Aids

• Universal power adapter

• Eye drops

• Camera

• Tylenol

• Smartphone

• Antibacterial cream

Miscellaneous: • Ziplock bags • Combination lock • Flashlight • Lifestraw These lists are perfect for me while travelling. Hope this list will also work for you, but if you have any preference then you can make your own list that will suit your travel. In short, I want to highlight that you don’t need a lot when you travel.

Also, it is only about bag packing but also the best airline company as whenever I travel I used to search different airline companies so there also bag weight checking is done and beyond the given weight we cannot enter. So I always have to keep this in my mind as well. Well, for me the best airline I found was United Airlines Reservations. The United Airlines Customer Service is fantastic and assisted me when I was unable to get the flight status.

So this was my incredible experience in bag packings and with the airline company.
