Preface Gulshan Youth Club (GYC) a voluntary social organization has been working to create and enhance responsibility among the residents specially the youths of Gulshan. By organising various socio cultural activities, Gulshan Youth Club is trying to hold up the tradition of our countries besides regular sports activities.

Being the only sport club of the vicinity, Gulshan Youth Club invites people of all ages, class and gender to join hand to build a sustainable society.

Gulshan Youth Club expects that the youth community will sincerely come forward with dedication in creating an enable environment for the future generation.

President’s Speech It is indeed my great pleasure and opportunity to share the Annual Report of GYC for the last one year (September 2013-September 2014).

I hope and believe our mission “Sports & Beyond” will be continuing to grow transparently through our nonprofit voluntary organization.”

Over the years our experience and hard work have led us to perform our activities with better team spirit, understanding and enthusiasm. As a sport Club, GYC has come a long way with better performance in the field of Football, Basket-ball, Cricket, Skating, Tennis etc. GYC teams are now taking part in national leagues and tournaments with other clubs, bringing trophy and honour to our Club. Regular coaching and trainings in all categories of sports activities in our field are preparing the next generation for higher level of performance. As a result of infrastructural development like indoor badminton court, extension of swimming pool, additional equipments in the gymnasium, proper and professional maintenance of the field, etc are attracting more people every day to the activities of the Club. Our Sports Carnival is drawing huge number of participants every year with great enthusiasm and zeal.

At the same time, inclusion of some new equipments and facilities in the Children’s Corner and Toddler Corner has been able to draw more children as well as their parents in the Ladies Corner and Senior Citizen Corner. As our security personnel are always vigilant to look after the general security, each day more and more walkers and field users are coming to the complex. GYC is a popular name offering a space for all, a patch of green with fresh air amidst the city crowd, ensuring better health to our body and mind.

Our social activities are running smoothly as ever. The Free medical Centre and Free School for the disadvantaged people of the area are experiencing increasing number of disadvantaged patients and students. They are also enjoying the facilities of the Complex like others. Our social responsibilities were not restricted to our area only. Hands were extended to others in need like victims in Rana Plaza, burn unit, recent flood and other calamities. Gulshan Youth Club over the years has gained reputation as a nonprofit voluntary organisation and was proud to work with various governmental and nongovernmental organisations and clubs.

Liaisons with neighboring clubs and organisation of Gulshan-Banani- Baridhara have greatly enriched our experience to work together hand in hand for the betterment of the area. Awareness raising rallies and discussion sessions to protect our environment and ecology, creating a drug and smoke free area, immunization programme, introducing formalin detection methods has brought us in the same platform and in close interaction and association with the Ministry of Environment, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, Dhaka City Corporation and many other important bodies of the state machinery. All these affiliation and networking has helped GYC to grow stronger and made us more confident and committed to our cause.

We have by now have been able to establish ourselves as one of the most prominent Club where, each and every national days and events are being observed with elaborate arrangements for the people of the area. Omor Ekushey, Mohan Shadhonota Dibosh, Budhhijeebi Dibosh, Mohan Bijoy Dibosh, Borsho Biday, Pohela Boishakh, May Day, Earth Day, Barsha Utshab, Boshonto Utshob, Eid and other festivals are duly observed and celebrated with all the people of the area and outside. We have tried to incorporate the children of the area in all our activities as they are the future generation to carry on the torch ahead. Students of our music and art class have been regularly participating in our ‘open to all’ cultural progarmmes which are enjoyed and participated by all the residents in this complex which was indeed an exposition of cultural activities in Gulshan area. It is a great pleasure for GYC to honor the students of the area with outstanding results in SSC, HSC, O Level and A Level Examinations. Certificates, medals and crests are provided to the young generation of the area for their contribution and participation in our activities on voluntary basis. People of the area achieving national or international awards were also duly honored by GYC. GYC is also arranging various other entertainment programmes like music evening, gala dinner, screening of movies and world cup matches in its Family Hall, friendly matches for members and distinguished guests along with guests and visitors from Embassies and diplomatic bodies of the area. All these programmes were enjoyed and attended by many distinguished guests from various social organisations and clubs, important government officials, Members of Parliaments, Ministers, Advisors, famous artists and eminent persons of the nation. Their compliments, appreciation and best wishes were a never ending source of inspiration, motivation and moral support for us. As a voluntary nonprofit organisation, lack of funding could hardly deter us from our commitment. GYC programmes are mostly sponsored by our EC members, other members and well-wishers. All these support and encouragement have strengthened our dedication to oppose all sorts of illegal and unplanned construction work which may go against public interest through our advocacy and networking.

Getting engaged with the long list of activities during the last year was not easy but was done with dedication and sincerity by all. This Annual Report is a reflection of our multidimensional engagement. All this was possible because of our EC members and general members, residents and well-wishers with cooperation from all. This, I believe will only drive us further for better performance and hard work in every field in future with more dedication.

I always felt and believed that a non-profit organisation like GYC can always contribute in the development of the society through a team work which can enrich the society in the area of sport, culture, social activities and ensure moral development of our next generation. Proper policy support from the government is critical to this endeavor. We would like to start with this campaign from GYC to set up such organisations in every area throughout the country which would benefit all.

I would like thank the Almighty for giving me this opportunity to work with a team of GYC which is hard working, dedicated, cooperative and is always there to achieve this goal in the vicinity. Let us move forward with stronger dedication and devotion for a better future for all.

am highly pleased to present your Annual Report for the year 2013-2014. In this year, approximately 75 events were organized. All these activities were possible with the spontaneous enjoyment of the members of GYC and residents of Gulshan. In this year, we have renovated the skating court for the children. Apart from this an indoor badminton court has constructed for the comfortable playing of the residents.

Some new and effective instruments are installed in our GYM for the users.

As part of community service GYC has took part in activities in Gulshan lake cleaning program, distributing winter cloths and extending hard for the betterment of disadvantaged people. One of the biggest events of GYC is sports carnival.

In this year, about 600 participants took part in it. GYC women cricket team reached upto semi-final of women’s club cup cricket tournament.

In this respect, I express my sincere gratitude to the convener, co-convener and members of publication sub-committee for taking the pain of publishing this annual report. I also extend my thanks to all the office bearers including my fellow members of Executive Committee who are with me making our effort a successful one.

Minutes of the 14th Annual General Meeting (AGM) 11th October 2013 The 14th Annual General Meeting of Gulshan Youth Club Ltd. was held at the Hall Room of Gulshan Youth Club premises, Road # 109, Gulshan Play Ground. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Rafez Alam Chowdhury, President of Gulshan Youth Club Ltd. There after the General Secretary took up the agenda of the meeting.

Agendas for 14th AGM Agenda : 01 To confirm the minutes of the 13th AGM of the club which was held on 7th October 2012 and its minutes were placed before the House for confirmation. Since there were no comments on the minutes of the meeting the minutes were passed unanimously. It was proposed by Engr. Md. Adam Ali Gazi, PEng (PM-192) and seconded by Md. Shariful Islam Varosha (PM-203).

Agenda : 02 The highlights of the club activities were presented in slide show by Mr. Mustafizur Rahman Bhuiyan, General Secretary for the year 2012-2013. The Activities Report was duely approved which was proposed by Khaled Ahmed Salahuddin (PM-258) and seconded by Dr. Md. Golam Mostafa (PM-087) Agenda : 03 Treasurer Mr. Azmal Hossain presented the audited accounts for the year ended 30th June 2013 before the audience along with auditor’s report. Auditor’s report was approved by Ahmed Kabir (PM-022) and seconded by Khaled Ahmed Salahuddin (PM-258).

In response to the queries of the audience about the source of expenditures the President Rafez Alam Chowdhury informed the House that most of the expenses were borne from the funding provided by the EC members and other sponsors. The member’s donations were mostly kept under FDR, he added. In this connection the treasurer also informed that several short term FDRs had been made. Some encashment of old FDR and new ones were also done. It was also noted that the most recent FDR interests were not included in the report.

Agenda : 04 It was unanimously agreed upon that M/S Kazi Zahir & Co. will be appointed as the auditor for the next financial year 2013-2014. Audit fee for the year 2013-2014 was also fixed at BDT. 15000 TK. It was proposed by: Shaheena Akhter (PM-248) And seconded by Nasrin Monir Lipi (PM-137).

The president requested the auditors to give guidelines to the office accountant of GYC and quarterly report preparation was also suggested.

Agenda : 05 The names of the New Executive Committee (2013-15) were declared by the Chief Election Commissioner Engr. Md. Adam Ali Gazi, PEng (PM-192) and Assistant Election Commissioner Khaled Ahmed Salahuddin (PM-258) & Ahmed Kabir (PM-022).

Open Discussion 1.

Md. Belayet Hossain (PM-091) suggested that football and other games should be restricted during monsoon season to protect the field.

The garbage dumped by the municipality at the west side of the play ground should be stopped immediately

Badminton should be on throughout the year. Members are also ready to contribute for developing an indoor badminton court.

4.

Ayesha Banu (PM-080) inquired about the year planning and budget projection which was proposed during last AGM.

5.

Shaheena Akhter (PM-248) asked whether the walkway could be made wider and more lighted during the night.

While rounding up the session the President informed the House the following issues: 1.

Regarding protecting the field the President said that it would be very difficult to stop all games for two months during the rainy season but appropriate initiatives would be taken to protect the field.

Regarding the garbage, the House was informed that the President has already talked with the Zonal Head, City Corporation regarding the matter.

3.

The idea of year round badminton game was highly appreciated but it was also informed that it would be difficult for the Club to make any permanent structure. Appropriate initiatives would be taken according to approved plan as long as the efforts are not conflicting with the rules.

4.

The President informed about the set up of additional facilities at the Ladies Corner and Children’s Corner. As the walkway cannot be broadened as per approved plan however the walkway has been already adequately lighted for night time walkers. He also presented the projected budget and year planning for the coming year.

5.

Gymnasium has also been refurbished and relocated in new and bigger space. Older gym would be renovated for indoor games in future.

6.

The House was informed about various MoUs done with Guest House, Clubs and Medical Centres where members would get discount for the services.

7.

The President informed the House that the Club continuously takes effort to raise fund but seldom does get responses from the general members. However, Pathshishu Pathashala and Free Medical Centre are running successfully from those donations and Zakat fund especially from EC members. Qurbani meat is also regularly distributed as part of these contributions. All members are welcome to come forward and make contributions so that the Club can take up more such initiatives in future. The President requested all to come forward with suggestions, ideas and active participation irrespective of membership of the Club, as any users or residents of Gulshan area are considered as a part of this Club.

There being no other agenda the meeting ended with vote of thanks by the President.

Tribute to the Former General Secretary 11th Otober 2013

On

behalf of Gulshan Youth Club, President Rafez Alam Chowdhury presented a crest to former General Secretary Mustafizur Rahman Bhuiyan for his contribution, dedication, hard work and services rendered towards the Club.

Mustafizur Rahman was in the post of General Secretary since 2004-2013 GYC remains grateful towards Mr. Bhiuyan for his continued support for the Club.

Qurbani Meat Distribution 16th October 2013

Gulshan Youth Club took initiatives to

distribute Qurbani meat among the disadvantaged peoples of the area. GYC Executive Committee along with Arafin Shamsul Alamin, Yashfin Alamin, M. Tahir Ali Khan and Imran Khan contributed meat for distribution. Club President Rafez Alam Chowdhury and Executive Committee member Sayeda Kabir and Youth Forum Sub Committee member Imran Khan were present during the distribution.

Karate Competition 22nd November 2013

An initiative was taken by Gulshan Youth Club to organize the first MAC Karate Competition in

Bangladesh under karate instructor Sensei Mohammed Ali.

Shihan Hideki Ishijima from Karate Do MAC Japan was the Chief Guest while the Special Guests were Sensei Takahito Maruko, First Secretary, Head of Public Affairs and cultural section; Mr. Ryoji Tsuge from the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh; Vice President Mr. Moazzem Hossain from Bangladesh Karate Federation; Vice President Mr. Nazmul Morshed from Bangladesh Martial Arts Confederation; along with Vice President Mr. Humayun Kabir and General Secretary Mr. Showket Hossain from Gulshan Youth Club. Karate Do MAC Japan Bangladesh Branch Chief Sensei Mohammed Ali and Sensei Kulsum Akter Kakon were also present in this Tournament. Medals and certificates were given to the winners by distinguished guests.

Pitha Utshob and Reception Programme 29th November 2013

YC organised a Pitha Utshab for its members and also organised reception programme for MP, Nazmul Hassan Papon. About twenty different varieties of pitha were served. Artist Chanchal, Munir & Nijhu performed in this programme. Crest was presented to MP Nazmul Hasan Papon for taking up the office of President of Bangladesh Cricket Control Board. The program was attended

by AKM Rahmatullah, MP, Chairman, Standing Committee on Ministry of Information, Nazmul Hassan, MP, President, Bangladesh Cricket Board, Mohammad Mejbahuddin, Secretary, Economic Relations Division (ERD), GoB along with Rafez Alam Chowdhury, President and Showket Hossain, General Secretary and other EC members of GYC. The program was sponsored by the newly formed Executive Committee 2013-2015 of Gulshan Youth Club. Special thanks to Sanjida Ahmed Shoma and Sayeda Kabir Moonmoon for their hard work and contribution in making the program a successful one.

Winter Clothes Distribution at Panchagarh 12th December 2013

A

s a part of its regular activities, GYC distributed 525 blanckets among the cold aected people of Panchaghar. Thanks to GYC member Brig. Gen. Mahbub Ahmed Zakaria (PM-016) for coordinating the distribution programme. Fund was generated from the contribution of Executive Committee members.

friendly match was played between GYC and Gulshan Club. Gulshan Youth Club Weekend Cricket Team was represented by Mehedi Hassan, Convener of the above Sub Committee while Gulshan Club Ltd was led by Wasim Nabi.

Shaheed Budhijibi Dibosh 14th December 2013

L

ike every year GYC observed Shaheed Budhijibi Dibosh. The program was specially catered for children to uphold our history and heritage so that they can be aware of the contribution and sacrifice made by the heroes of our nation. EC member, Sayeda Kabir Moonmoon described the importance and significance of the day to the children.

Guests present were Mr. Khorshed Alam Chowdhury, Hon’ble Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, GoB. The program was also attended by the President Rafez Alam Chowdhury and the Joint Secretary Bahreen Khan along with other EC members.

A screening of Bangla Movie was also dedicated in memory of the Shaheeds. The programme was jointly sponsored by Northern Hatcheries Ltd. and M&J Group represented by our vice presidents Humayun Kabir and Salahuddin Ahmed respectively.

Mohan Bijoy Dibosh 16th December 2013

YC celebrated Mohan Bijoy Dibosh with various programs. The day started with National Anthem and hoisting of National Flag by Freedom Fighters, distinguished guests of the locality along with the President and EC members of GYC. Flower reeds were also placed in the Shaheed Minar of the Club premise.

‘Victory Day Charity Marathon and Walkathon 2013’ were participated by the runners, walkers and skaters of GYC, young and adult athletes along with foreigners and general participants from all over the city. More than 300 participants took part in the event. Free T-shirt and light refreshment were served among the participants. All participants were presented with certificates. A cultural program was also arranged and performed by ‘Udichi’ cultural team. Prizes were distributed among the winners of the Marathon Walkathon by the distinguished guests. The National Flags were also handed over to the young generation by the guests and national heroes.

Shahabuddin Ahmed Bir Uttam, Akram Ahmed Bir Uttam, renouned music composer, Gazi Mazharul Anwar, Mej. (Ret.) Hamidul Hossain Bir Bikrom along with Rafez Alam Chowdhury, President, Humayun Kabir, Vice President, Reshad Hossain Khan, Vice President, Salahuddin Ahmed, Vice President, Md. Showket Hossain, General Secretary and Bahreen Khan, Joint Secretary of GYC.

21st Vaccination Day Disscussion Programme 18th December 2013

An

awareness raising discussion program regarding 21st Vaccination Day took place with the journalists initiated by the Dhaka North City Corporation at GYC Family Hall. The program was presided over by Chief Health Head Brigadier General Md. Afzalur Rahman.

three day cricket match was arranged by the London College of Legal Studies (LCLS) at the play ground of GYC. Former national cricket player Md. International Mother Language Day Badminton Tournament 10th-20th January 2014

A badminton tournament was organised by GYC badminton sub committee, sponsored by Tara Spinning Mill represented by Md. Sadekur Rahman Monir (PM-365). A good number of participants from the area took part in the competetion.

Annual Dinner & Family Night 13th February 2014

The Annual Dinner of GYC took place at the tennis court of the club for the first time. The program

started with an attractive laser show titled ‘Showcasing GYC’ focusing various activities of GYC. A demo of GYC theme song was presented before the audience. The theme song was composed and written by famous Lyricist and Composer, Gazi Mazharul Anwar. The song was performed by renowned artists of the country. Srikanta Achrya from India was the main attraction of the cultural program. The program was attended by more than one thousand guests and sumptuous dinner was served. 21st February 2014

ulshan Youth Club organised an elaborate program to observe Omor Ekushey and International Mother Language Day on 21st February. The day started with National Anthem and hoisting of the National Flag by distinguished guests, freedom fighters and EC members of the Club. Flower reeds were placed on the Shaheed Minar located in the Club premise by all the guests and Club members, representatives from Government officials and social organisations, the entire sports groups and other activity groups operated by the Club. GYM Bangladesh, the South Asian authority for TKM Worldwide arranged a free workshop on self-defense in Gulshan Youth Club. GYC Junior singers participated in the cultural program led by our music teacher Dr Sohana Ahmed and the junior artists were Asmita, Arpa, Amrin, Fabiha, Fariha, Niko, Suha, Tina, Nusibah, Nudrat, Tajmina, Aniondo and renowned singers from “Gritigriho” were also performed. th

Like every year GYC celebrated the Chaitra Shankranti and Borsho Biday program with elaborate

program. There were kite festival, Putul Naach, Nagordola, food stall, mehedi stall, mini circus, and many more. A colourful cultural program was the main attraction of the program. Artists like Dr. Sohana Ahmed, Dipanjan Mukherjee, Tansen Rahman, and Hassan Arif performed in the program.

s a continuation of the Borsho Biday program, GYC members and residents of Gulshan area again gathered in the GYC play ground to celebrate Bangla Nobo Borsho on the 14th April, 2014.

The day started with a cultural program performed by the GYC music class junior artists namely Amreen, Anana, Anindo, Aurpa, Ausmita, Fabiha, Fariha, Hridipon, Niko, Nudrat, Nusaiba, Shaily, Shayan, Suba, Tazmina, and Tina led by music teacher Dr. Sohana Ahmed. A grand colorful rally decorated with masks, traditional paintings, tomtom and band party circled the area where all the residents participated with great enthusiasm. Traditional food like panta, eilish, khichuri, bharta, doi chira and pitha was served to the members after the rally. GYC EC members sponsored food and arranged day long fun program for the disadvantaged children of the area. In the evening a Bangla movie was screened for the audience sponsored by Impress TeleďŹ lm.

Bangladesh Government has declared Gulshan Banani Baridhara Lake as Ecologically Critical

Area. An awareness rally with banners was, organised by the Department of Environment in association with Gulshan Youth Club, Banani Society, Baridhara Society and Gulshan Society and other social organisations. Two discussion programs were held at Gulshan DCC Market at Circle 2 and Baridhara Lake Park respectively to highlight the problems of the Lake and adjacent area. A boat rally also took place decorated with colourful festoons and banner with awareness raising slogans by Gulshan Youth Club and Baridhara Society.

The program was attended by high officials from the governments and representatives from various organisations of the area.

Bishwa Madok Mukto Dibosh To raise a social awareness against drugs and

narcotics, Gulshan Youth Club observed Bishwa Madok Mukto Dibosh. Day long sports program was organized with 150 disadvantaged children of Gulshan area. Lunch was also served among the children. Executive Committee member and Youth Forum Sub Committee convener Sayeda Kabir was also present there. Thanks to GYC Youth Forum Member Imran Khan and other junior members for their support and voluntary service.

Special Cleanning Program A

special cleaning program was initiated by DCC (North) at road no 103, Gulshan from GYC. The program was initiated with a rally which was attended by Md. Faruque Jalil, Administrator, B M Enamul Haque, Chief Executive Officer (Joint Secretary), Captain Bipan Kumar Saha, Chief Waste Management Officer DNCC, Brid. Gen. A K M Masood Ahsan, Chief Health Officer of DNCC, Muhammad Nuruzzaman Sheikh, Executive Officer, DNCC, Md. Dulal Ahmed, General Secretary, Gulshan Society along with Rafez Alam Chowdhury, President, Md. Showket Hossain, General Secretary, EC members Sayeda Kabir, Md. Enayet Hossain, Md. Shariful Islam Varosha and Zaheed Iftekhar Pasha of GYC. A discussion program was held regarding overall cleanliness and road situation of Gulshan area. GYC President requested everybody along with DNCC to take appropriate measure to make a clean Gulshan in future.

Ifter Mahfil for GYC Pathshala Students GYC Youth Forum Sub Committee Co-convener

Maheer Daiyan Ahmed took initiative to organize an Ifter Mahfil for the GYC Pathshala Students. The fund was contributed by the young members of GYC : Maher Daiyan Ahmed, Sameer Rahman, Nafisa Afsara Chowdhury, Muhtasim Chaklader, Roshni Shamim, Jinia, Sadaf Razzak Chowdhury, Anik Podder, Shadman Shakib Rahman, Kashfique Hossain. All the students of GYC Pathshala, Youth Forum Sub Committee members and volunteers along with the convener Sayeda Kabir were present during the program.

Screening World Cup Football Final 13th July 2014

Screening of World Cup Football final in a big screen took place at GYC Common Hall. As the match took place during the month of Ramadan, Sahari was also served to the members who were present.

All of them enjoyed the match with great enthusiasm.

Eid Festival Cloths and Gift Hamper Distribution 25th July 2014

YC Youth Forum Sub Committee Co-convener Maher Daiyan Ahmed and young members Sameer Rahman, Tasnia Noor, Mirza Momo Ushra,Tazrian Hossain, Fardeen Shayan Saied, Auras Rahim,Maeesha Zarin Khan along with 22 volunteers organized an event titled “Win Little Hearts This Eid” for the disadvantaged children living in slums in Uttara .Distribution of new cloths took place at the Uttara Public School and College, who had generously provided the venue for the distribution. Clothes were distributed among 92 children and shemai and dry foods were distributed among 62 families in the slums, for Eid from the donations.

Cup’ football Tournament where total forty six teams participated out of which twenty four teams under 19 boys, sixteen teams under 16 boys & 6 girl’s team.

Eid Utshob for Disadvantaged People 9th August 2014

GYC organized a feast under the supervision of GYC

Office Secretary Ali Haider and Junior in charge Md. Kabir Hossain and assisted by GYC Maintenance Staffs for the disadvantaged people. More than three hundred people participated in this Eid Utshob. Executive Committee member Sayeda Kabir was also present.

Fund was contributed by the members of the Executive Committee, and General Member Ms. Ayesha Banu (PM-080) & Mr. Sadequr Rahman Monir (PM-365).

Relief for Flood Victims at Jamalpur 5th September 2014

A

team led by GYC Supervisor Kabir Hossain went to a remote area of Jamalpur to distribute relief among the flood affected people. The team had to travel by boat for the distribution of relief.

Sheikh Russel 2nd South Asian Roll Ball Championship 2014 G

11th - 13th September 2014

YC has participated in Sheikh Russel 2nd South Asian Roll Ball Championship where Mr. Abul Kalam Azad of Gulshan Youth Club and six participants from other Clubs who played in Bangladesh Team. In this tournament, the skaters have to roll the ball and reach the goal post while skating. In this tournament seven countries had participated namely Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Srilanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives. Bangladesh became jointly second on this tournment. Bangladesh became jointly Runner up with Pakistan on this tournment.

Eid Reunion 12th September 2014

YC organized Eid Reunion programme for the members. A cultural program was organized followed by dinner. In this program singer namely Priyanka Gope and Bijan Chandra Mistry performed. Newly reconstructed Indoor Badminton Court was also inaugurated on that day.

Crests were distributed among Tapan Kumar Saha, Sadekur Rahman Monir, Monir Hossain and Hazi Mamunur Rashid Bablu for sponsoring the reconstruction of GYC Indoor Badminton Court.

Crests were also distributed among the sponsors in GYC’s different events and program round the year (2013-2014) Bashundhara Group represented by Sayem Sobhan, Ejab Group represented by Esthiaque Ahmed, Ifad Group represented by Taskeen Ahmed.

Reception to the Students of the Area with Outstanding Result 12th September 2014

ulshan Youth Club as always came forward to appreciate and encourage the young generation of the area with outstanding result.

The crests were given to the students of the area who received at least Golden GPA 5 in SSC and HSC and at least ďŹ ve A* in O Level and two A in A Level exam by the distinguished guests.

Free Medical Center Till 20th September 2014

As part of GYC regular health check up services for the walkers, GYC Free Medical Center took part

in attending patients along with providing medicines for almost 1800 disadvantaged people of the area, every Tuesday from 9 to 11am for the last two years. Thanks to Dr. Nilufar Kamruz Zaha and Dr. Dina Alam with the assistance of Obaidul Haq Jamal for their services. This is to share that the Free Medical Center is run by the Zakat fund created by the EC members of GYC.

GYC Academy T-20 Cricket Tournament 2014 29th September 2014

GYC organised tournament which was inaugurated by the Honb’le President of Bangladesh

Cricket Board (BCB) Nazmul Hassan MP along with respectable Directors of BCB Showkot Aziz & Khaled Mahmud along with Club President Rafez Alam Chowdhury, General Secretary Md. Showket Hossain, Vice Presindent Reshad Hossain Khan, Treasurer Eshtiaque Ahmed and EC members. In this tournament, fifteen teams from different Academies of Dhaka participated. The head coach of Gulshan Youth Cricket Academy, Md. Ali Haider Shiekh supervised this tournament.
