Dear Fellow Owners:

I would like to thank you for supporting our club events, dining at our club, exercising, swimming, golfing, playing racquet sports, and scheduling events at our facility. I expect to see continued increases in member usage as we head into the last quarter of the 2022 Calendar Year.

Maintaining the member experience in the face of inflation, supply chain issues, cost of living increases and hiring challenges was no small feat. Charlie and his team have worked tirelessly to find and retain the high quality staff that we have come to expect. Many of our team members have embraced new roles and shouldered additional responsibilities due to staffing challenges. We must continue to invest in our team by keeping wages competitive and the work environment positive and supportive. I encourage you to celebrate our dedicated ACC team members by thanking them for their exceptional service.

The Board believes that our investment in facilities, offerings, member services and staff has produced a value proposition that warrants several strategic increases. First, the initiation fee will increase to $14,000.00 effective 12/01/2022. Second, to properly plan for and budget capital repairs and replacements our capital dues have increased by $10.00 this month. Finally, in order to maintain our current levels of staffing and program offerings for our 2022 2023 budget year, our operational dues will increase by 10% effective 11/01/2022. The cost of operating sup plies and labor are the two biggest drivers for this increase. Investing in our staff and our facilities will help ensure that ACC maintains premier services and facilities.

Initiation fees are used to fund aspirational projects. Our pickleball, all sports court and playground project is an example of our initiation fees being used to bring new offerings to our club. This increase will help build our reserves and prepare us to tackle our next capital project.

The capital dues increase will help maintain our capital reserve account to cover the costs of repairing and replacing our capital items. Replacing an air conditioning unit or a freezer is significantly more expensive now than when we completed our capital reserve study.

The Board has approved the annual budget for FY23 provided by the Finance Committee. The strategic dues increase will ensure that the inflation, supply chain, and wage challenges do not impede ACC’s ability to offer the quality and range of services that define our member experience. We have been able to enjoy nominal inflationary increases these past few years. While this year’s budget requires a slightly higher percentage than in years past, it is necessary to maintain the many great attributes of our club.

It is an honor and a privilege to serve as your president and to be a member of the Alamance Country Club family. Our ability to offer great member experiences and execute our LongRange Strategic Plan initiatives ensures that ACC will continue to be a place of excellence in Alamance County.

In closing, I would like to thank my fellow board members, committee members, leadership, staff, and the entire ACC family for your commitment to Alamance Country Club.

Message from the President, Kevin

Alamance Country Club Ambassador Program

As an Ambassador of Alamance Country Club your role is to welcome, sponsor and build relationships with each new member/prospective member by acclimating them to the benefits and warm inviting culture of the club.

We are extremely grateful for your valuable time to one of the most relevant volunteer positions here at Alamance Country Club, Thank you!

What are some of the qualities Alamance Country Club needs in its Ambassadors?

Welcoming – sincerely show the new members you are excited to meet them

Encouraging – identify what the new member likes to do, or wants to try and convince them to come out to the club for that activity with you Knowledgeable – have information about the club, and/or know who to ask so that you can get the new member the answers to their questions

Diligent – actively work on developing a relationship by reaching out to the new member regularly to involve them in club activities

You will be assigned a group of new members based on some form of commonality, such as they live close to you, play golf, tennis, pickleball or utilize the fitness facility.

They will be expecting your call. As part of the orientation process, Jennifer Smith will educate them on the role of the Ambassador Program. In addition, the information is included in their new member guidelines.

Once you have agreed on a get together date and time, either a teetime, court time or dining reservations, notify Jennifer and she will make arrangements with the club before you arrive. The club will take care of the charges for one round of golf, one game of tennis and one meal for either a single member or couple/family.

Your role will also be to reach out and remind new members about specific events, as well as standing club events within the different amenities – golf, tennis, pickleball, fitness, social, etc.

Additionally, we encourage you to find out about special occasions, such as birthday’s, weddings, new home, new baby, etc. and share this in formation with Jennifer Smith. She can get you something special to take to the new member to acknowledge the celebration on behalf of Alamance Country Club. It is also important to know of any bereavement/loss of the new member.

this will

Thank you, and we hope
be rewarding for you as you make new friends!
