ALAMANCE COUNTRY CLUB NEWS & INFORMATION FOR THE MEMBERS OF ALAMANCE COUNTRY CLUB

Dear Stockholders and Members,

This past Thursday the Annual Meeting of Stockholders was held and the new class of directors was announced. I would like to thank Tom Gunyan, Robert Johnson, and Tom Monahan for accepting the ask of the Nominating Committee to be on the slate. I would like to congratulate Jay Clayton, John McDonald, and Mac Williams for being elected to the Board of Directors. Thank you to all stockholders who participated in the voting process.

At the meeting each committee presented their year in review and the 2022 Audited Financials were presented and made available. If you would like a hard copy of the audit there are copies available at the clubhouse with Jenn Handwerk. A digital version of the audit as well as the slide deck from the meeting are both available on the member website in the archive section as well in the My Club Section.

Also shared at the meeting was the most recent conceptual drawing of the pool and casual dining project that the Long Range Planning Committee and the Pool and Casual Dining Project sub committee have been working on this past year. I am sure that many of you have heard that there is a project being developed and until recently we did not have sufficient information to share the project with everyone. Over the next several weeks there will be several discussion sessions for members to see the project, learn how we got here, ask questions, and help confirm that what these committees have been working on is the best way to accomplish the goals of the strategic plan and provide the amenities that the membership has asked for over the past few years.

These discussion sessions will be held at the Pool Pavilion, and each will be designed to be one hour in length. There is no need to RSVP, you can simply show up at any or all sessions. The material that is presented will be the same for each session. One of the earlier sessions will be recorded and hosted on the website so that members can see and hear what's discussed in the event that none of the sessions work for their schedule.

These sessions are not our official Town Hall Meetings which will be held in January and will involve our architect and planner, a representative from Bobbitt Construction, and members of the planning committees.

The Discussion Session schedule for December is as follows:

Thursday 12/8 at 8 a.m.

Saturday 12/10 at 10 a.m.

Tuesday 12/13 at 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday 12/14 at 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday 12/21 at 8 a.m. and at 5:30 p.m.

Thursday 12/29 at 9 a.m. and at 5:30 p.m.

I look forward to sharing this exciting project with you and answering your questions. While the dates have not been finalized for our town hall meetings, we anticipate those taking place sometime in the first half of January with a special stockholder meeting and vote later in January.

I look forward to seeing you around the Club enjoying the Holiday festivities!

Alamance Country Club Ambassador Program

As an Ambassador of Alamance Country Club your role is to welcome, sponsor and build relationships with each new member/prospective member by acclimating them to the benefits and warm inviting culture of the club.

We are extremely grateful for your valuable time to one of the most relevant volunteer positions here at Alamance Country Club, Thank you!

What are some of the qualities Alamance Country Club needs in its Ambassadors?

Welcoming – sincerely show the new members you are excited to meet them Encouraging – identify what the new member likes to do, or wants to try and convince them to come out to the club for that activity with you Knowledgeable – have information about the club, and/or know who to ask so that you can get the new member the answers to their questions

Diligent – actively work on developing a relationship by reaching out to the new member regularly to involve them in club activities

You will be assigned a group of new members based on some form of commonality, such as they live close to you, play golf, tennis, pickleball or utilize the fitness facility.

They will be expecting your call. As part of the orientation process, Jennifer Smith will educate them on the role of the Ambassador Program. In addition, the information is included in their new member guidelines.

Once you have agreed on a get together date and time, either a teetime, court time or dining reservations, notify Jennifer and she will make arrangements with the club before you arrive. The club will take care of the charges for one round of golf, one game of tennis and one meal for either a single member or couple/family.

Your role will also be to reach out and remind new members about specific events, as well as standing club events within the different amenities – golf, tennis, pickleball, fitness, social, etc.

Additionally, we encourage you to find out about special occasions, such as birthday’s, weddings, new home, new baby, etc. and share this information with Jennifer Smith. She can get you something special to take to the new member to acknowledge the celebration on behalf of Alamance Country Club. It is also important to know of any bereavement/loss of the new member.

Thank you, and we hope this will be rewarding for you as you make new friends!

Form is located on the next page. Please fill out and return to Charlie Nolette.
