FOREWORD You finally woke up....

Welcome to Fodlan, professor. Where you will decide the fate of one of these three houses: The Black Eagles, The Blue Lions, or The Golden Deer. This book is bestowed to you professor by the Goddess, Seiros, to ensure you can guide your students for the better.

This book will guide you in many ways. From knowledge about each of the unique students and fellow members of the Church down to the different ways you can improve as a professor on our Monastery. The Goddess has already bestowed the world for you to liberate and bring forth which house’s ideals you want to uphold, all that is left is for you to see things out on your journey dear professor.

INTRO TO FIRE EMBLEM: THREE HOUSES Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the latest installment in the Fire Emblem franchise. Released at the 26th of July, this game can be played on the Nintendo Switch.

The game is set in the continent of Fodlan. Fodlan is a continent who lived in peace under the guidance of the goddess: Seiros. The continent is divided into three nations. First, at the south of Fodlan is the Adrestian Empire. At the east lies the Leicester Alliance. Lastly, Northwest of Fodlan is the kingdom of Faerghus. Each of these territories are led by the leaders of each house in the Officer’s Academy.

INTRO TO YOUR CHARACTER The Adrestian Empire is where Edelgard, head of the Black Eagles, hail from. Dimitiri, head of the Blue Lions, is the crown prince of the Kingdom of Faerghus. And Claude, the head of the Golden Deer, is known to be the heir to the head of the Leicester Alliance.

Your role as a player is depicted as a young mercenary who has little memory about the past (defaultly named as Byleth). After the prologue chapter, you are then immediately assigned by the Archbishop, Rhea, to become a professor in the Officer’s Academy in the Garregh Mach Monastery. You will be assigned to one of the three houses of your choice. And from there, your journey begins.

The Black Eagles is one of the Three Houses in the Officer’s Academy where they consist of students who came from the Adrestian Empire. The students in the Black Eagles mostly consist of Axe Wielders and practitioners of Black Magic.

This house is led by Edelgard von Hresvelg. fourth daughter of Emperor Ionius IX and heir to the throne of the Adrestian Empire.

The Black Eagles believe that the crest system is what causes the suffering of the people of Fodlan. Therefore, at the post timeskip of the Black Eagles’ story, you will follow them down their road of rebellion as they seek out to overthrow the church of Seiros and unite the continent of Fodlan under one empire.

STUDENTS EDELGARD VON HRESVELG She is the 4th daughter of Emperor Ionius IX and the leader of the Black Eagles. An exemplary student and a natural born leader. Has a secret talent for painting portraits.

BERNADETTA VON VARLEY The eldest daughter of Duke Varley. She has an extreme case of shyness and being a recluse due to her past traumas. She is often seen alone in her room.

STUDENTS CASPAR VON BERGLIEZ The second son of Count Bergliez, a famous military general in the Empire. Has a strong sense of Justice. However, he is often seen in fights due to his hotheaddedness.

DOROTHEA ARNAULT A songstress in the famed Mittlefrank Opera Company. She strives to get married with a noble to ensure a bright future. Flirtatious as she is, she values friendship above all else.

FERDINAND VON AEGIR Eldest son of Duke Aegir, the Prime Minister of the Office of the Empire. He considered Edelgard to be his biggest Rival. Proud, Confident, and Hates Losing to anyone.

STUDENTS LINHARDT VON HERVING Eldest son of House Herving, the minister of Domestic Affairs of the Empire. Despite his laziness, he adores freedom and his research on crests. Gets along well with Caspar.

PETRA MACNEARY The heir to the throne at the far land of Brigid.

Being a non-native of Fodlan, she is known for her broken manner of speech and will take any idiom literally. She wishes to secure a future for Brigid.

THE BLUE LIONS The Blue Lions is the second house in the Officer’s Academy. The students of the Blue Lion house are from the Kingdom of Faerghus. These students specializes in using lances and leading Battalions.

Their leader is the crown prince of Faerghus, Dimitri Alexander Bladdyd who is also the lone survivor at the Tragedy in Duscur.

The Blue Lions believe in the Liberation of Fodlan from the Empire. During the post timeskip, Dimitri is found taking refuge in the rundown monastery as he was branded dead by the empire. Upon becoming insane, you came in to aid Dimitri in his quest of liberating Fodlan from the Empire.

STUDENTS DIMITRI ALEXANDER BLAIDDYD The crown prince of the Kingdom of Faerghus and the lone survivor of the Tragedy in Duscur.

Is the image of Chivalry however hides a dark demeanor in his act.

DEDUE MOLINARO Dimitri’s most faithful vassal. He is a man of few words and often distances himself from others due to the common thinking about the people of Duscur.

ANNETTE FANTINE DOMINIC Heir to the throne of House Dominic. She is a hardworker which made her the top student at the School of Magic. She is also Mercedes’ best friend.

STUDENTS ASHE UBERT The adopted son of lord Lonato. Kindhearted and optimistic as he is, he still strives to grow to become a gallant and honorable knight.

MERCEDES VON MARTRITZ She is the adopted daughter of Baron Martritz of the Empire. She was then left at Fhirdiad with a Merchant and lived a commoner’s life.

She is kind and religious. She is also Annette’s best friend.

SYLVAIN JOSE GAUTIER He is the second son to House Gautier. He is a well-known skirt chaser (Even laid eyes on Ingrid’s grandmother when he was Eight).

Even with the bad reputation, he is known to be caring for his friends.

STUDENTS FELIX HUGO FRALDARIUS He is the second son of Lord Fraldarius (Rodrigue). He often calls Dimitiri “The Boar Prince” due to his sharp tongued lone wolf attitude. Even though he is a lone wolf, he finds interest in strong opponents.

The Golden Deer house is the third house of the Officer’s Academy. This house is composed of students who came from the Leicester Alliance. Most of the students in the Golden Deer house are adept in using Bows.

Their leader, Claude von Riegan, is the heir to the Riegan House which is a preeminent house of the Leicester Alliance.

The Golden Deer aims to break down barriers between Fodlan and it’s surrounding teritories in the midst of wars to abolish all negative ideologies outside of Fodlan.

HILDA VALENTINE GONERIL She is the youngest child of Lord Gonreil. Spoiled and lazy as she is, she grew up to know how to be manipulative. She is charming and helpful once she puts in some effort.

LEONIE PINELLI She is the daughter of a hunter in Saerin Village and Jeralt’s apprentice. She is often blunt and impulsive. She is also proud of her abilities as a mercenary.

STUDENTS LYSITHEA VON ORDELIA She is the eldest daughter of House Ordelia who is now suffering after the Hrym Revolt. She is also the youngest student in the Academy. She is known to be a prodigy in Magic however she doesn’t like being treated as a child.

THE CHURCH OF SEIROS

THE CHURCH OF SEIROS The Church of Seiros is also known as the Central Church of Fodlan. This is also the main headquarters of the Officer’s Academy and it is known to be a neutral teritory at the heart of Fodlan.

Upon following the Church Route, you have been tasked to lay siege at the base of “Those who Sither in the dark.” Upon doing so, you learn that “Those who Sither in the dark” are the ones who are manipulating the current war in Fodlan between the Empire and the Kingdom of Faerghus.

MEMBERS SETETH Seteth is Flayn’s older brother. He is also Lady Rhea’s advisor. He values Loyalty, Order, and Discipline. Despite his stern nature, he is soft and good ast giving advices.

FLAYN Flayn is Seteth’s little sister. She is super polite and formal to people. Due to her being isolated, she is eager to learn lots about the world. Loves fish.

ALOIS RANGELD One of the Knights of Seiros and an instructor in the Academy. He is an old friend of Jeralt (Byleth’s Father). Loves to tell jokes even though people dont find it funny.

MEMBERS CATHERINE CHARON She is an alumni in the academy and the famed wielder of the sword “Thunderbrand.” She is extremely loyal to Lady Rhea and has a knack for identifying people who have crests Strengths: Sword and Brawl Weakness: Reason

SHAMIR NEVRAND Shamir hails from Dagda and serves as a master bowswoman of the Knights of Seiros.

She joined the Knights of Seiros out of her debt to Lady Rhea. She is straightforward and blunt and takes in experience as a mercenary.

GILBERT EDDIE DOMINIC Former Noble of House Dominic and now serves as a Knight of Seiros. He is Annette’s Father. He may be silent but his loyalty and faithfulness remains unshaken.

MEMBERS CYRIL Lost his parents at a battle between Almyra and Fodlan. After being captured by House Gonereil, he is then taken in by Lady Rhea to serve the Church. He is Hardworking and takes everything seriously.

PART 2: GAMEPLAY

CLASSES Classes refer to what kind of battle style will a unit have. If a unit is an archer, the said unit will gain skills exclusive to bows such as deadeye and close counters while brawlers will gain more damage using gauntlets and such. Considering each student and members of the church’s strengths and weaknesses, they have classes which suits their preferences. For instance, Annette is strong in Reason. Therefore she can be a candid warlock for your party. There are 4 kind of classes.

TYPES OF CLASSES Trainee Classes are the starting classes of your students.

Beginner Classes are the base classes of your units which has multiple conditions with at least one needed to be met.

Intermediate Classes is the second tier of reclassing which slightly complicates the requirement and gives out staple skills such as Vantage, Close Counter, and Desparation.

Advanced classes are an upgraded version of the intermediate classes. Thieves can be turned into Assassins and the likes retaining similar playstyles.

Master Classes are the highest form of reclassing of a unit.

THE GARREGH MACH MONASTERY The Garregh Mach Monastery is the central church of Fodlan. This is also the site of the Officer’s Academy.

In the academy, there are many activities that you can do to improve both yourself and your students alike.

Some of the choices you can do on your free time are embarking into different auxiliary battles, joining in seminars conducted by other members of the academy, taking a break, or even explore the Officer’s Academy to check out on your students.

SEMINAR Seminars are given out by different faculty members. These seminars give off skill points to certain students who attends these seminars.

Examples:

Manuela: Faith and Sword skills Hanneman: Reason and Bow skills Shamir: Lance and Bow Seminars consumes one skills full day and will improve Catherine: Brawl and two different skills for Sword skills yourself and the selected students who will attend the seminar.

Tip: This is recommended to do every once in a while, At part 2 of your story, especially in the early your students too can game, for it improves not give seminars as well. only your own but also a few selected students as well.

BATTLE You can also choose to spend your free day battling bandits and monsters around Fodlan. There are four different kinds of battles that should be considered: Auxilliary battles, Side quests, Paralogues, and the Main chapter quest.

MAIN BATTLES These consist of the main story chapters. Every last day of the moon (Month) you will embark on your main campaign to continue your journey with the house that you have chosen.

PARALOGUE BATTLES Paralogue Battles include special side stories which is in-line with the main story plot per house. These battles require spending a battle point in order to engage. Another prequisite to Paralogue battles is that they will require you to use certain units in order to embark on that battle. Some of the rewards being dropped in Paralogue battles are renown points, magic items, and even rare relics.

Example: Forgotten Hero: Required to bring Marianne.

Foreign Land and Sky: Required to bring Bernadetta and Petra The Face Beneath: Required to bring Caspar and Mercedes

AUXILLIARY BATTLES Auxilliary battles are the battles that can be traveled to in order to farm Experience (EXP) points. In Auxilliary battles, you can gain gold and resources such as ingridients and smithing stones for repairing weapons. There are Auxilliary battles that are free to travel to while others require spending a battle point for better rewards.

RARE QUEST Rare quests are one day limited events. The difficulty of these quests are raised slightly compared to paralogue battles. The rewards however are increased in this. A battle point is needed to be spent in order to partake rare quests.

SIDE QUESTS Side Quests can be unlocked by exploring the Monastery. These are time limited battles for a certain time period (usually spanning moons). Aside from the renown points and the gold reward given in these quests, different resources and even Battalions are also given as a reward to the side quests depending on the NPC.

DINING HALL SHARING A MEAL Sharing a meal with students and instructors is also possible. Once per free day, a special dish is instantly prepped by the chef. You can share a meal with two units and increase their bond with one another. It also increases their motivation for studying.

COOKING A MEAL You can also cook meals too alongside your units.

These meals will consume your resources depending on the dish. Specific dishes will also increase certain stats as well for the month.

GREEN HOUSE The Greenhouse is where you can plant different seeds. This increases your Professor Level depending on how rare your harvest is. In the calendar, you can view the best times to plant and harvest your plants.

To plant, all you have to do is to approach the garden keeper and give her the seeds that you will be planting. You may also choose to cultivate the crops to get higher chances for it to bloom more plants or bloom rarer plants.

You can get seeds from either buying it off the marketplace or in your harvests.

FISHING AREA Fishing is one of the main activities in the Garregh Mach Monastery. This can be done at the fishing area which is South of the Dining hall, East of the Entrance Hall, and West of the Greenhouse. In here, you can gain Professor EXP points through fishing. The higher the rarity of the fish, the more Professor EXP points gained.

RAREST

The player must play a mini game to determine the quality of the catch.

The mini game’s mechanics is an accuracy game where one must hit the shrinking ring as close to the violet ring.

COMMON

43

TRAINING GROUNDS Once a month, the training grounds offer tournaments varying in difficulty. Upon tournaments, gold and weapons are given as rewards upon winning the whole tournament. Spending one activity point, you will assign a unit of yours to partake in the said tournament. You are only allowed to use training level of weapons upon joining.

The higher the level of the tournament, the better the rewards.

TIP: Your units can’t die in a tournament. So feel free to send out units to either hone thier skill on a weapon or risk hard opponents.

CHAPEL CHOIR Your units can join the choir progression. You can join up to two units to join the choir. This increases the two units’ faith. As for you, it increases both your faith and authority.

CONFESSIONAL Notes will be left in the letter box. As a professor, you will be answering letters from an anonymous sender.

Only a sihlouette figure of the sender will be shown and you must answer correspondingly to increase your bond with the unit.

CHAPEL ARTISAN The chapel artisan will restore the statues on the four saints. You can spend renown points gathered in battle and quests to restore these statues which will give you extra proficiencies in certain fields. Also, if reached a certain level, your party can gain extra EXP and even extra Divine Pulse Charges.

MARKETPLACE ITEM SHOP Assorted variety of items from healing Vulneraries to Keys and shields can be bought here. However, items here aren’t as rare as secret shops and merchants.

ARMORY The main store for weapons. Some weapons have limited supplies based on how much game progress you have done.

BATTALION’ S GUILD Battalions are armies that can follow certain units.

These battalions can he hired based on your units’ Authority levels. You can hire, dismiss, and refresh battalions here.

BLACKSMITH The blacksmith can help you refore weapons into stronger weapons as well as repair them by consuming different smithing stones.

RAISING SUPPORT LEVELS Support refers to the bond units share with one another.

These can be raised either by activities at Garregh Monarch such as assigning group tasks or sharing meals. This can also be raised through making them fight side by side.

An example possible support is the bond between best friends, Annette and Mercedes (1). Some conversations can even lead to a unit’s special ending with another unit.

Lorenz shares a unique ending when he bonds with Leonie (2). Usually support has 3 levels but others require more than 3 conversations. A prime example of this are the struggles of Felix and Dorothea (3). Some units exceed 3 levels of support while others only have 2 levels.

Marianne is a timid girl and has less support conversations with the skirt chaser, Sylvain (4). Support can also provide stat boosts to units the more they support each other.

TEACHING STUDENTS Once a week, you will instruct your class to hone their skills. There are times where you have to instruct them yourselves to target specific skills. The higher your professor level, the more students you can instruct.

Also, you can also assign goals per unit to make them focus on certain skills. Assigning group tasks as well is recommended to both hone certain skills of students and increase their support.

FINAL TIPS BATTALIONS Battalions can be hired either by completing certain quests and paralogues or through the Battalion Guild.

These battalions can provide a tactical advantage when used right. Some battalions can reposition enemies strategically, damage enemies, or buff allies.

PROFESSOR LEVELS Keep watch on your professor level. Keep doing activities on and off the battlefield in order to raise your professor level. The higher your professor level, the more activities and battles you can embark on.

MONSTER QUESTS Monsters can be terrifying at first since they have more than one lifebar and has unique skills. But with Battalions and combat arts, you can pierce their armor indicated by yellow tiles. Once armor has been pierced, your units can deal more damage to them, especially weapons and spells which are effective against monsters such as Seraphim.
