Sponsored by Arts Council England, award-winning artiste, Grace Quansah, has brought together a unique and exciting collection of poetry, short stories and art work by 114 young people (ages 4 to 24), from diverse ethnicities who have taken part in one or several London-based Writing, Acting and Publishing Project for Youngsters (WAPPY) workshops, from July 2008 to October 2018. Endorsed also by the contributions of key literary figures, Eric Huntley, Benjamin Zephaniah, Patrice Lawrence, Dr, Rupa Huq MP, Seb Jenner, Sally Baffour, Maureen Roberts and several community partners within the borough of Ealing, the WAPPY writers and artists grapple with many themes; Belonging, Christmas, Dickens, Friendships, Love, London 12 and Football, Gender Issues, Mythical Creatures and Real animals, African Folklore and a tribute to six international icons, ‘Who Have Changed the World’ (i.e. Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Jessica Huntley, Michael Jackson, Willis Wilkie and Benjamin Zephaniah).
