“A stitch in time, saves nine.” Lost money, lost things can be earned back but Time… lost time cannot be. So we all must use it wisely. Time waits for none. We all have to run according to it. And specially for students…in student’s life time management is very important. Students need to manage their time to achieve their goals. Doing work on time increases our self-confidence. It defines our personality and teaches us to be disciplined. None can afford to be late to catch flight or bus or train. They won’t delay their departure for us. KRISHNA JANMASHTAMI

Janmashtami is celebrated with great pomp and show across the world. People celebrate this day as the birthday of Lord Krishna. This festival is celebrated on the Ashtami date of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month after Raksha Bandhan.

FANCY DRESS COMPETITION

Although perceived as a mere fun activity, fancy dress is of great benefit for preschoolers and the children who are in the foundation years to enhance their confidence and vocabulary.

Children of pre - primary showcased their talent by dressing up as various objects like flower, tree, pencil, etc. It was a delight to watch them.

FATHER’S DAY

The date of Father’s Day, Aunsi in Nepal falls in either in August (Shrawan or Bhadra) each year, depending on the cycle of the moon. The Bua ko Mukh Herne Din in Nepal runs for one day. Father’s day is celebrated to respect the father.

Different communities have their very own way of celebrating Father’s Day. All of the communities put together foods and tasty dinner party in and serve it to their father. The celebration and amusing of the competition depend upon the vicinity, climate and ethnicity.

TEEJ’S CELEBRATION

The Hindu festival of Teej is marked by fasting of women who pray to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, seeking their blessings for marital bliss. It is a series of festivals that occur during the Hindu month of Shravana (Sawan) and Bhadrapada (Bhado), which corresponds to the Indian monsoon season of July, August, and September.

ENGLISH WEEK (DAY 5) DEBATE COMPETITION

On the last day of English Week celebration we had Inter-House Debate Competition of VI to X. The topics were - Genetically modified foods should be banned or not? and Public sector should be privatized or not? Students presented their views against and for the motion very impressively. Keep up the good work dear students!

MAGIC SHOW

KID’S CRAFT (YELLOW DAY)

Maths Wizard competition was held on 25.09.2022 at Akshar Vidya Mandir. Students from grade III-X had participated in this competition. The main objective of this competition is to boost student’s analytical power, calculation and IQ level. To choose the finalist from each class two qualifying rounds were held on 13.09.2022 and 16.09.2022 respectively. In the first qualifying round all the students had participated in a written test of 10 marks. The students who cleared the cutoff were qualified for the second round. The same process was held to choose the finalists for the final round.

On the final day, the competition was organized in assembly area in different periods for different grades. In the competition there were three rounds - Tricky Questions, Visual and Rapid Fire.

FANCY DRESS COMPETITION

We had Fancy Dress Competition of Grade- I & II. It blends learning with fun. They were dressed up as Solar system, heavenly bodies, fairy tale characters etc. All the students participated with a lot of enthusiasm and displayed their confidence while walking and speaking. Their stage presence won our hearts. The event concluded with the encouraging words of the Level Co-ordinator who appreciated the performance and the efforts taken by the parents.

Warm welcome to all the students and staff members after Dashain break. Aksharites are celebrating Space Week from 10th September to 30th October help students gain a wider knowledge about space. Today’s theme was Solar system. We had conducted different activities such as quiz, games etc.

TIHAR & CHHATH CELEBRATION

Diwali is the most important religious festival celebrated by Hindus. It is also called Tihar or Deepawali and also called a Festival of Lights.

Chhath is mainly celebrated by Terai people which starts on the 6th day of the Hindu calendar month “Kartika”. This festival is dedicated to the worship of the Sun god and his wife Usha. This festival is celebrated to thank god for supporting life on earth and to seek the blessing of divine Sun god and his wife.
