Greetings from Akshar Team! ‘MUSKAN’ as the name indicates – We, at Akshar, try our best to keep that smile intact on the faces of Aksharites.

Unfortunately due to some unavoidable reasons we couldn’t publish our newsletter in past years. Now onwards this will be published quarterly – three issues in an academic year. Through this newsletter you all be able to become part of our co-curricular activities and learning. It’s a best way to keep memories and cherish them later in life. Though its an advanced technology age but still pictures on paper fascinates everyone. No matter where you are in the world, you can keep up with what’s happening in Akshar’s world. mothEr’s DaY cElEbration

Mother’s Day is a celebration honouring the mother of the family or individual, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on different days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the month of March or May. “All mothers are working mothers….. A mother is symbol of true love and relationship…..A mothers love is forever; time, distance, hardship…all fall before the strength of her love.”

In the beginning of every academic session, a fun filled evening is organised for the students of Grade I and II. The main objective for this activity is to create the bond of love and trust between the teachers and the students. Students dance, sing, play, eat and do many activities with teachers. It`s the best time for the children as well as for the teachers to know and come closer to each other. This year also the same was organised on the date 20.05.2022 and 27.05.2022 for Grade I and II respectively. Students were asked to come in casual and comfortable attire and bring home made snacks and water bottles in cloth or jute bags. Plastic bags, chocolates, cold drinks, chips and other packed items were not allowed. At last, the students were served sandwiches, cutlets and juices. The timing for the event was 5 pm to 7:30 pm. All the class teachers and subject teachers had attended the program and played important roles in making both the evenings full of knowledge and fun.

bioloGical DivErsitY class ii niGht out

Akshar Vidya Mandir Organised a Science Quiz Competition on 25th May, 2022 to celebrate “INTERNATIONAL DAY OF BIOLOGICAL BIODIVERSITY”. Students from Grade VI to X participated in this quiz competition. Four students from each house were selected to represent their house for the competition.

Gantantra DiWas

Ganatantra Diwas is celebrated on Jeshtha 15th every year in Nepal. Govt. declares public holiday on this day. We also conduct special assembly on this occasion.

Akshar Vidya Mandir organised intra school competition on 30th May, 2022 on the occasion of Tobacco Day. The competition was open for all the students from Grade I to X. The theme for the competition was No Tobacco. Students enthusiastically took part in the competition and made wonderful paintings on the given topics. Students were asked to bring their own colour and sheets. The aim of the drawing

competition is to engage children in a creative exercise to spread the awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco. It allows complete self-expression and supports their creativity and innovative ideas express through art. The judging criteria for this competition were originality, adherence to the theme, composition and design for the work and overall presentation. We received wonderful work from all the students.

1st-5th June, 2022

Aksharites celebrated Environment week from 1st June to 5th June. Throughout the week we had conducted many activities.

On Environment Day, Akshar Vidya Mandir had organised an Inter - house poster Making Competition for the students of Class VI – X. The objective of the competition was to ignite the fire of imagination and creativity in the students. The themes of the competition were “Animal Conservation”, “Only One Earth – Living sustainably in harmony with nature” and “Ecosystem Restoration”. Students expressed themselves through modals, paintings and sketches.

Drama is a strong medium of communication. In order to develop dramatic skills and promote acting ability among students, An Inter House Drama Competition was Organised at Akshar Vidya Mandir on the occasion of Child Labour day.

The Investiture Ceremony is a proud moment for a school, the indomitable spirit of young talented leaders of Akshar Vidya Mandir was commemorated on June 14, 2022. The school held the ceremony with great enthusiasm. It was the occasion where the young students were all prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted to them by the school. To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feeling of being an important and integral part of the administrative body, ‘Student Council’ is formed every year.

Akshar Vidya Mandir celebrated 67th Birthday of its founder Late Shri Parmand Kejriwal ji on 12th July 2022 as Founder`s Day by organizing a carnival on the occasion. This is one of the biggest events which the school celebrates. All children, parents and their near and dear were invited to be a part of the event. Teachers and students put different food and games stalls. It was a fun filled day. It was organized at school building and the timing was 10 am – 4 pm.

Guru purnima

Guru Purnima (Poornima) is a tradition dedicated to all the spiritual and academic Gurus, who are evolved or enlightened humans, ready to share their wisdom, based on Karma Yoga. It is celebrated as a festival in India, Nepal and Bhutan by Hindus, Jains and Buddhists.

Youth skill DaY- talEnt shoW

Talent show provides a platform for students to showcase their talents and skills. By doing this, students will feel appreciated and acknowledged. Therefore, on the occasion of World Youth Skill Day (15.07.2022), a talent show was organized for the students from Grade I – X. More than 50 students had participated in this. It was hosted at school assembly area and organised for two days.

purplE DaY annual picnic

Preprimary section observes different colour days throughout the session. Objective is to make them learn how to identify and recognise the basic colours. On these days students come in the respective colour attire and even bring the same colour snacks or food and drinks. They do group activities.
