It is a very popular All India Joint Entrance examination for admissions to hotel management programs. This hotel management entrance examination is also known as Jis Entrance Test. It consists of 60 Marks Multiple Choice Questions with no negative Marking. Questions from General Knowledge, General Intelligence, and General English are the main subjects of this examination. Total time allotted 1hrs., No negative marking on the answers.

GNIHM has a dedicated Training and Placement Cell that looks into the placement of final year students. The faculty members together with the training and placement officers screen the students and match the profiles with the candidate profiles of various recruitment companies. The method of screening includes objective-type tests on the hospitality core subjects, mock panel interviews, group discussions, student presentations and extempore speaking on current topics. The institute also conducts Specialization Classes in the Final Semester of the course, along with Soft Skill and Grooming Classes, to get the students ready for facing Campus Interviews. Every year, the institute invites top-notch companies to conduct placement drives, and students are selected for different types of roles depending upon their skills and abilities.
