Village of Greenbriar Project: Village of Greenbriar Location: Westminster, Colorado Date: February 2022 - Current

01 Role: Project Manager The Village of Greenbriar is an amenity renovation project currently about to commence construction. The scope of work includes; a new leasing office, new maintenance shed, new bus shelter and mailbox area, and renovations to the existing clubhouse with a new entry addition.

In my role as Project Manager I walked the site with all teams, documented all existing architectural conditions, and created a Revit model for the demo and new construction phases. I am the main point of contact for all teams involved. My weekly responsibilities include coordination with consultants, the client, the contractor team, the city, and leading the all team meetings. The model, all drawings, and the schedule also fall under my care.

Humboldt Apartments Project: 1700 Humboldt Location: Denver, Colorado Date: February 2022 - Current

Role: Job Captain The Humboldt Apartments are a 149 unit podium project with four levels of type V-A Residential over two levels of type I-A Parking Garage. Being on this project since early 2022 has allowed me to work through most of the phases of design from Concept into Construction Documentation.

Five Points Makerspace Project: Five Points Makerspace Location: Denver, Colorado Date: Spring 2019

03 with partner Jonathan Lelek In the Spring of 2019 was my Comprehensive Studio where we were tasked with designing everything starting from site analysis, all the way down to material thicknesses in detailed wall sections. Schematic models were constructed throughout to portray form and spacing. The final model was a 1/4” to one foot section model completed over the course of two weeks.

The project took place in the Five Points District in Denver, Colorado. The area is a historic jazz district that lost its roots over the years, and is currently undergoing gentrification. With this project our goal was to respect the history of the area, while giving the residents a place to come together and celebrate what makes a community thrive; art and music.

The Five Points Makerspace is composed of a program that allows for a cultural experience in the front galleries that exhibit the art of Jazz music and its influence in the Denver area. The playful back end of the building houses a Makerspace encompassing a wood shop, metal shop, textile shop, and a research and design studio. Once the artist using these spaces has completed their creation, it can be displayed in the front galleries. Finally, the outdoor space in the center of the site allows for a stage where all can gather for a concert in the evenings, bringing the whole experience together.

Walking paths and the twenty-seven foot grid seen throughout the rest of the neighborhood we some of the main form drivers when conceiving the design.

A lot of inspiration for this project was drawn from Jazz itself. We studied the music of Louis Armstrong who played at the Jazz club just down the street. From there we came up with this pattern to portray movement even when stagnant. For a better user experience the panels are operable so more light can be let in where needed.

This allows the building to always be changing and improvising in the same way that Jazz music does, one day it might be completely transparent while the next it may be completely solid; it is up to the creators inside.

Dallas Museum of Eco-Sustainability Project: Dallas Museum of Eco-Sustainability Location: Dallas, Texas Date: Fall 2017

04 This semester long third year project lies in the heart of the Dallas Arts District, adjacent to Klyde Warren Park in Texas. In order to educate the public about one of the most dangerous issues that our nation faces today the Dallas Museum of Eco-Sustainability takes visitors on a journey ramping up throughout three galleries and ending with a spot for reflection at the rooftop garden.

Since this project is all about being sustainable it touches on each of the three main pillars of sustainability. The museum is designed to be energy efficient utilizing a double envelope facade, green roofs, and solar panels. It is also in an area that is highly accessible, surrounded by parks, as well as other free admission museums.

Reflection Space This reflection space enables museum goers to process everything they have learned on this trip. The area is comprised of plants, grasses and trees that are native to Texas.

Directly above the lobby, this reflection space is made possible by an intensive green roof, while the rest of the buildings roofs are more simple extensive green roofs.

Digital Fabrication Project: Academic Pavilion Location: Lawrence, KS Date: Fall 2018

05 This project done over the course of eight weeks was focused on understanding how to use Grasshopper and Rhino to make a script my partner and I would then use to produce physical models from our robotics lab. We ended up producing seven models total; the first four were focused on getting the correct script and clay printing tecnique down, while the last three models fully show our understanding of the software and how to manipulate both the script and printer settings in order to create different textures and forms.

06 The following collection of work is a preview of what my life outside of architecture school looks like. I love all art related fileds; paticularly sketching, photography and illustration. I never go anywhere without my moleskin and can often be found in coffee shops sketching the atmosphere.

Study Abroad

Architecture in Europe Summer 2018 Location: Cities throughout Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland One of the main foci of this study abroad trip was to study the urban fabric of the cities we visited-- we did this by observing then sketching.

While I enjoyed this aspect I also found myself exploring my sketching in general with different materials and styles. I filled up an entire Moleskin on this trip and perhaps the best feature about it is all the memories it brings back to life each time I flip through it.
