For all these, and a million other things, we are truly grateful to all our staff. Over the following months, we will be working towards a smooth opening to the new academic year and setting the priorities to build upon the successes of the school so that we can improve still further. From the Desk of the Section Head Dear Parents, As our academic year draws to a close, we have much to celebrate and many happy memories. Firstly, I would like to acknowledge the outstanding work ethics projected by our students. I would also like to thank all the parents for their continuous support to enable the school to meet the needs and aspirations of our students. The Iftars meet at school was one such memorable experience for all of us where the parents took the lead to organize the event for the school and helped us to share the spirit of Ramadan. Most importantly, our students have enjoyed another fabulous year. They have excelled in so many fields it is impossible to list them all. I have attended many celebration events and have listened in awe as their achievements have been described. These achievements have been in their academic studies, sports, music, the arts to name just a few and we are justly proud of them. Many field trips were organized this year and the tour to Georgia was appreciated the most. Over the summer vacation, I will be working with colleagues to put into place a smooth opening to the new academic year and setting the priorities to build upon the successes of the school so that we can improve still further. We should always seek to do better, to challenge ourselves and our students to set the highest standards and achieve our ambitious goals. I would like to wish you all the very best for the summer vacation and look forward to welcoming you all back, refreshed, for what will be an exciting, new academic year! Anti-Bullying – 7E The assembly started with a brief introduction by the hosts: Ysa and Jhian, and followed by the Quran recitation by Sara Bohra, and translated by Naima Amanzade. We paid respects to the country and school through singing the UAE National Anthem and the School Vision Song. After the general way of beginning a school assembly, we proceeded by requesting the presence of Kate to report The Apple News where she congratulated all the Al Afdal Awardees, mentioned the latest events as well as the upcoming ones in which we can look forward to. After the report, the hosts suggested an idea of inviting some individuals to go up on the stage to perform an act demonstrating the present-day situations of bullying and how making new friends is more beneficial and easier. The audience applauded the effort that the actors had put into the performance. Following the performance, a pair of speakers: Ysa and Princess, had ascended to the stage with the purpose of delivering a powerful “two-part speech” regarding the concept of a safe and happy school where it should be a place with no tolerance for bullying and where safety and comfort are the environmental traits. Parts of the speech stated how and why safety play a vital role in our lives and how it should always be kept constant in one’s life, especially with youths. The act was praised for having such strong effectiveness and purpose along with the power of originality. Several people shared the different types and ways of bullying and how to prevent them. They also suggested that help should be given by anyone if he knows any case of anyone involved in bullying as this a serious topic. The students thanked them for educating them on the very important questions regarding the assembly topic. The last, but not the least act, they proudly gestured themselves for a pair of students: Kirsten and Nina, who delivered a short poem about Safety and Happiness. The crowd then joined their hands for the amazing, outward and extravagant poem made by them. The assembly was finally concluded by inviting their dear Principal Ma’am. She shared her collected opinions on what the students had done for their assembly and how professional they acted even without the help of their adviser or teacher. She also made sure to spread her other ideas to improve the way students can study and live their lives at its best. They wrapped everything up with saying thank you to the audience for listening and paying attention to their assembly in which they worked very hard. They hoped that they could adapt on an extremely profound topic. Then assembly was dispersed. After the audience had returned to their respected classrooms, 7E students gathered on the stage for a group photo. They extremely felt pleasured and proud of their work, and they were happily taking their poses for a photo. After it was taken, they also had returned to their classes to begin their school day.

Report on the Mid of Shaban This is an old practice of celebrating the 15th day of Sha’aban, the eighth month in the Islamic lunar calendar, in the month before Ramadan. Children dress up and go to family and friends asking for treats. It was a colorful morning, when a group of students, went to Seniors Happiness Centre, to mark the middle of Sha’aban, also known as Haq Al Laila. Dressed in bright traditional gowns and jewelry, the students went around greeting people distributing treats saying in unison: “Aatoona Allah Yatikum, Beit Makkah yuwadikum. ” This translates to: “Give us and in return God will reward you, you will be able to go to Makkah as one of your rewards.”

The 21 days were given a value each and various interesting activities were arranged for the students.
