The Counselors will assist students in overcoming personal and social challenges that may create barriers to academic success and personal wellbeing. This is achieved through the counseling curriculum, responsive services such as individual and group counseling and consultation with parents and teachers. It is also the Counselor’s role to help support a safe learning environment and to work to safeguard the human rights of all members of the school community. The Counselors also serve a major role in individual academic planning and the college research and application process. In collaboration with the administration and teachers, the Counselor supports students in developing a High School plan that will maximize their potential for academic success and will provide them with as many postHigh School options as possible.
