Joel is an exceptional young musician whose talent and dedication have made a remarkable impact on the musical life of the Australian International School. He is a gifted violinist who leads both the Upper Elementary String Ensemble and String Quartet with confidence and musical maturity. Joel has shared his artistry at many significant school events, including the Lower Elementary Music Soirée, the Upper Elementary Festival of Music and various community celebrations. This year, Joel was also invited to perform at the Upper Elementary Foundation Day Assembly, where he delivered a sensitive and moving rendition of the jazz classic ‘A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square.’ Joel studies violin with our Head of Strings and consistently demonstrates enthusiasm, reliability, and a strong commitment to excellence. His passion for music and his generous contributions to school-life make him truly deserving of this award.
The student who demonstrates creativity and excellent artist practice in Visual Arts.
Ruitong demonstrates outstanding excellence in Visual Arts through her creativity, curiosity, and thoughtful approach to every artwork she creates. As an enthusiastic inquirer, she eagerly explores new techniques and experiments with a wide range of materials, deepening her understanding of artistic processes. She brings originality and careful planning to her work, thinking critically about how best to bring her ideas to life. Ruitong particularly excels in the medium of collage, skilfully combining layered papers, textures, and colours to create imaginative and visually compelling artworks. Her careful attention to artistic choices enhances her compositions and allows her to communicate meaning with clarity and impact. Ruitong’s enthusiasm for learning and her dedication to developing her skills make her an exceptional representative of creativity and artistic excellence in the Visual Arts.

Indira is a vibrant, outgoing, and dedicated student who engages enthusiastically in all areas of learning. A well-balanced learner, she participates in a range of extracurricular activities, including swimming and touch rugby. This year, she showcased her confidence and stage presence in the Year 5 Production, captivating the audience with her portrayal of Bagheera. Both inside and outside the classroom, Indira is consistently polite, respectful, supportive, and helpful. She participates actively in discussions, collaborates thoughtfully, and ensures others feel included when working in groups. Her sense of humour and warmth enable her to form strong, positive connections with her peers. As a committed Student Representative Council member, Indira attends meetings regularly and dedicates her time to supporting the wider school community. She holds herself to a high standard and consistently strives to meet it. Indira is a valued member of the Australian International School who truly embodies and demonstrates our school’s values of Achievement, Respect, and Opportunity.

Flynn is a creative and confident performer who captivated audiences with his powerful portrayal of Shere Khan the Tiger in the Year 5 ‘The Jungle Book Kids’ production. His outstanding solo performance showcased not only his strong vocal talent but also his commanding stage presence, bringing the character to life in a way that left a lasting impression on everyone who watched.
Throughout the rehearsal process, Flynn demonstrated remarkable motivation and dedication, consistently going above and beyond to refine every aspect of his performance. His commitment, versatility, and ability to fully immerse himself in his role created an engaging and memorable experience for the audience. Flynn’s passion for the arts shines through in all that he does, and he is to be commended for the talent, effort, and enthusiasm he brought to this production.
The student who has shown outstanding dedication to sport at AIS
Rosalie is an outstanding and dedicated young athlete who consistently gives her best across all areas of sport. Her determination, focus, and positive attitude have contributed to an exceptional year of achievements. At the House Carnivals, Rosalie claimed first place in Athletics, Cross Country, and the Biathlon, and also secured a strong third-place finish in Swimming, showcasing her all-round athletic ability and competitive spirit. Beyond the carnivals, Rosalie has proudly represented the school in Under 11 and Under 12 Netball, Under 11 and Under 12 Basketball, Junior Track and Field, and Cross Country. She is known for her teamwork, reliability, and humble approach to competition, always encouraging others and giving her best effort regardless of the challenge. Rosalie’s commitment, determination and enthusiasm make her an exceptional role model and a valued member of the Australian International School sporting community.
The student who has shown outstanding dedication to sport at AIS LACHLAN BOND 3H
Lachlan is a remarkable young athlete whose talent, determination, and sportsmanship have shone throughout the year. He achieved the outstanding feat of being crowned Age Champion in all four major House Carnivals for Swimming, Cross Country, Athletics, and Biathlon. This is a testament to his all-round athletic ability and unwavering consistency. Beyond his school achievements, Lachlan proudly represented the Australian International School at the Athletic Conference of Singapore International Schools Cross Country Championships, competing against students from across Singapore and finishing first overall in his age group. He has also demonstrated excellent teamwork and versatility as a valued member of the Under 9 and Under 10 Football and Cricket teams. Lachlan’s commitment, humility, and passion for sport make him a truly deserving recipient of the Sports Person of the Year award.

Across each Unit of Inquiry, Ella demonstrates deep understanding and makes meaningful connections between key concepts and global issues, reflecting her mature and reflective mindset. HELIENA SADLER
Heliena has made an outstanding contribution to the academic, cultural, and sporting life of the Australian International School. She has proudly represented the school in swimming and netball and has fulfilled her School Captain duties with commendable commitment and maturity. In this leadership role, she consistently demonstrated respect, service, and dedication, particularly through her involvement in Open Houses and the Kranji War Memorial visit. During the Primary Years Programme Exhibition, Heliena applied effective inquiry skills and took meaningful action for a cause she cares deeply about. She approaches every challenge with positivity, balance, and enthusiasm, and is commended for her principled behaviour, thoughtful mindset, and open-minded approach to learning. Her participation in the Year 5 production further highlights her willingness to engage wholeheartedly in all aspects of school life.
