For the student who has shown outstanding commitment and initiative in community service programs
Alexandra is a thoughtful, gracious and reflective young adult who calmly organises school-wide community service initiatives. She is methodical in the way that she approaches projects, creating clear lists and action points to ensure the event is organised in the most efficient way. This was clear for the Easter Baking Competition she orchestrated where she independently sourced staff members and spaces in the school as well as anticipated the logistics needed to host a successful event which raised $500 for our school charity. Another of Alexandra’s community service legacies is leading the school-wide food drive. She independently sourced the receiving organisation, designed advertising material and developed the logistics to get the food to where it needed to be. Alexandra has also been integral in trialling and providing feedback to the “Student Project Proposal Form”, which is now essential for the community service project process. She leads by example and with compassion and her strengths lie in her genuine intentions, authenticity and integrity.
For the student who has positively contributed to the school, both inside and outside the classroom
Ananya is a dynamic, friendly and exemplary role model for her peers as an active member of our school community. As a student leader, she proudly demonstrates what it means to showcase Sharks’ spirit and represent the best of our school, embracing all events throughout the year and aiming to motivate her peers to do the same. Ananya has also enthusiastically lead her Strive class each week and collaborates with other Student Leaders so that they may develop exciting initiatives for her year level, as well as younger year groups.
In reflecting our school values, Ananya is always respectful to her peers and teachers alike and makes the most of the educational opportunities she is presented with. Her achievement within her subjects showcases an outstanding level of hard work and determination to pursue personal excellence. It is this quality which allows Ananya to be recognised as a well-respected and much valued member of her cohort and within Lower Secondary.
Ananya is a proud ambassador of what it means to be a student at AIS. She is globally minded, exceptionally welcoming to others, dedicated to her school work and embraces the opportunities presented to her in an effort to thrive. We congratulate you, Ananya, for receiving this prestigious award, the 2022 Tim Fischer Award for Citizenship (Lower Secondary).
For the student who has positively contributed to the school, both inside and outside the classroom
This student is the epitome of an AIS student and student leader. He regularly displays his commitment to our core values of Opportunity, Achievement and Respect. In any student initiative, he is a sincere and very hardworking student. He is always open to feedback and genuinely tries to improve himself constantly. He is a perfectionist and sets very high standards for himself.
Often seen supporting others over recess and in lessons. Students respond well to him in class and he will work well with anyone supporting where he can.
For nine years, from Years 2-11, he was an active member of the school choir, as soprano, alto and then tenor, performing in assemblies and school events.
We see Aidan as a student who embraces AIS, he is an academic high achiever, he respects his teachers and his peers and is a genuinely wonderful student.
We can think of no more deserving student for the award of Tim Fischer Award for Citizenship.
Zara is a very talented all-round athlete, and her performances shine in both individual pursuits and team-based environments. She works extremely well with all students and team mates, and she is highly respected by all her peers, with many younger students quite rightly looking up to her as an outstanding sports role model. Zara should also be commended for her work as a coach working with our younger athletes in both Basketball and Netball.
Joseph is an outstanding athlete in all sporting disciplines, and excels in all competitive environments. He always impresses his peers and coaches with his desire to overcome challenges, whilst always ensuring his contributions are in the best interest of his respective team. Joseph performed extremely well in all Carnivals this year and was a key member of the very successful 14U Boys Rugby team

Chris is an outstanding athlete, who consistently represents AIS to the very highest level. He is the ultimate team player, always giving his very best effort in every training session or competitive situation. Highlights from 2022 include being an integral member of the Boys Football First Team which claimed Gold in the ACSIS League and SEASAC Competition, and also being a member of the Senior Boys ACSIS Cross Country team who were also crowned Champions.

Isabel is the epitome of a creative Performing Arts student at AIS. She has thrown herself into every Drama and Music activity that she can fit into her busy life. She is a regular presence in the Performing Arts corridor encouraging her peers to get involved with her natural enthusiasm and humour and asking her teachers for more things to do. Isabel has demonstrated a passion for creativity in drama. Her commitment to the Year 6-8 production of The Witches was outstanding. She is commended for the imaginative interpretation of her role as the Grand High Witch, her dedication to rehearsals, her ensemble support, and just as importantly - the sense of fun she brought to the part. As well as her acting skills Isabel is the youngest member of the senior Soul Band and has developed some very strong improvisation skills on her Saxophone. Isabel is a dedicated member of the choir and will be an integral part of Music making and Drama productions for years to come.
For the student who has contributed consistently and with distinction to the Visual Arts programs at the School.
Delilah Nguyen our 2023 Arts Captain, is a talented and enthusiastic artist. Her contribution to the Creative Arts community at AIS has been significant and ongoing.
Delilah is currently studying for the Higher School Certificate where she will complete her HSC in Visual Arts next year. Throughout her Secondary School years, Delilah has been an integral member of the Arts. She has been involved in the Year 9-12 Choir, has helped with the set up of the Year 11 and 12 corridors and contributed to beautifying our school staircase walls through her painted inspirational murals. Delilah also willingly contributed greatly and spent many hours in setting up and promoting this year’s successful Annual Secondary Visual Arts Exhibition. She also assisted in helping organise and promote the AIS Visual Arts 2022 Exhibition Logo Design Competition. Delilah has always been a unique thinker and brings creativity to all she does in Visual Arts and the wider school community.
Delilah’ s commitment to the Arts during her schooling at AIS has been significant and memorable. Through Delilah’s unique artistic abilities, talent and positive virtuous attitude have found many creative outlets.
We congratulate Delilah on her winning the Clive Powell Creativity in the Arts prize.
For the student who has contributed consistently and with distinction to the Performing Arts programs at the School.
Chelsea Morgan 12X - drama and choirs, soul band, outstanding commitment to all things music, great communicator
Chelsea is the epitome of a creative Performing Arts student. She has been a loyal and skilled part of multiple ensembles during her time at the Australian International School Singapore. Chelsea has a passion for musical theatre and her public performances of this genre displayed a commitment to character and technical skill beyond her years. She has always been open to exploring new repertoire exploring rock, pop and jazz genres within the HSC Music 1 course. Chelsea has been a particularly important part of helping to reopen the Music department as opportunities opened up this year. From April of 2022, Chelsea was always front and centre attending every rehearsal and inspiring younger children with her positive attitude and passion for music making. She was integral to making the Kranji ANZAC Day Dawn service a success despite the logistical challenges being faced. Earlier this year, Chelsea also demonstrated her considerable acting talents by participating in the Year 9-12 production of Shakespeare in Love as the Nurse. This role required commitment, maturity as well as a good sense of comic timing. She excelled in her role and became an important member of the production ensemble. Chelsea has balanced a serious commitment to academic studies with development of her singing and acting skills, and has the capacity to make music a part of her life beyond school. Chelsea is warmly congratulated for her outstanding commitment to the performing arts.

They are a long term student who embodies the benefits of an AIS education, having immersed themself in all facets of the school across the curriculum. Passionate, positive, inquisitive and determined, this student makes sure everyone else around them has the opportunity to achieve their best and does this in a quiet and dignified manner; they are a person of true integrity.
This student will graduate from AIS in 2022 with a legacy of academic excellence across all subject areas. They are particularly strong in Business and English but they thrive in the Sciences.
