The beauty of travelling to Tahiti is that you truly can travel light – you won’t need that anorak! But even though you can pack lightly, passengers travelling on an Air Tahiti Nui ticket still get to enjoy a generous carry-on and checked baggage allowance. In addition, Club Tiare members receive extra allowances.

Sports Equipment
In addition to the standard baggage allowance, passengers travelling on an Air Tahiti Nui ticket (244-TN) and flying on an Air Tahiti Nui operated aircraft may check-in free of charge one (1) piece of sporting equipment weighing a maximum of 23kg from the list below.
• Golf equipment, or
• Diving equipment, or
• Surfboard, body board, kneeboard, longboard, kite surf, paddle or inflatable canoe/kayak/paddleboard no longer than 250cm, or
• Paddle/fishing rod in a container that does not exceed 5kg / 250cm length, or
• Ski equipment (water or snow) that does not exceed 250cm length, or
• Hydrofoil and board packed together
Excess Baggage
Passengers travelling on an Air Tahiti Nui ticket and flying on an Air Tahiti Nui operated aircraft can prepurchase excess baggage, either through your travel agent, our contact centre or online via our website. On the day of departure, payments must be made at the airport. Prices vary for each route. For AucklandPapeete travel the extra piece cost is NZD120. Additional costs will apply for overweight and over height pieces.
