When most folks are faced with a home design challenge, their first thought is not to dream up a new product and build a company from scratch around it. But most people are not like Ron Tucker — founder, innovator and selfprofessed problem solver of AIRMADA Drying Solutions.
A Family’s Request
In 2011, when designing a master bath for his family’s personal residence, they wanted a walk-in, curbless shower and a steam system all in one. A sealed space for steam proved challenging. In fact the solution was non-existent.
A Solution Delivered
So Ron set out to design a pocket shower door system that was curbless, yet able to slide along a track and seal the space. To slide the door out of sight, he developed and patented a stainless-steel pocket. And for the drying aspect? An air-drying system utilizing strategically placed nozzles with a compact motor tucked almost 50’ away, was the long-awaited answer. The system insured the glass and track stayed dry when inactive. In fact, it was so effective, the line was expanded to include drying capability for the floor, ceilings and walls. This provided a number of benefits for safety and wellness.
