WestJet Cancellation Policy

WestJet cancellation policy states that after 24 hours, basic tickets may not be refundable and may result in additional fees and taxes.

If you make a reservation for a round-trip flight and decide not to board the first leg, the reservation may cancel the second leg and the cost of this cancelled portion may not be refunded. Within two hours of the departure, passengers may not be able to change their reservations, but they may be able to reserve seats on another flight under WestJet's cancellation policy.

If you have purchased your tickets from a travel agency or aairline partner, contact them directly for information on refunds or reversals.

WestJet Flight Change Policy

No matter how much you paid for your ticket, WestJet Airlines allows you to adjust your travel plans within 24 hours of purchasing the ticket. However, you will be in charge of any cost differences as well as a 100 CAD flight change fee, along with extra service taxes, if you make the adjustments at least 21 days before the scheduled departure.

Additionally, you can make changes to your flight up to two hours before the flight's planned departure by utilizing the Manage Trips area on the main WestJet website.

WestJet Name Change Policy

Westjet allows name changes on completely unflown flight segments if the ticket was issued by Westjet.

You can correct up to 3 characters in the first, middle, or last name without charge. There is a fee of 150 USD for name changes beyond this. Infants traveling with an adult whose name needs to be changed are exempt from the fee.

Name changes due to marriage or divorce may be allowed if the passenger presents official documents confirming the name change occurred after the booking was issued.

All online name change/correction requests must be submitted no later than 24 hours before the scheduled departure.

WestJet Check-in Policy

For WestJet domestic flights, check-in opens 24 hours before departure online, via the app, or at kiosks. At the airport, check-in begins three hours before departure, and it closes 45 minutes before departure. Make sure to finish the check-in process at least 45 minutes before departure, as boarding will be discontinued 10 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.

For US flights, the check-in process opens 24 hours before departure on websites, mobile apps, and kiosks.

For international flights, check-in opens 24 hours prior to departure online, via the app, and at kiosks.
