Our infrastructure is dense and robust. Air Greenland has bases, hangars, aircraft mechanics and other personnel in most towns in Greenland, and we have spare parts at our main repair workshop in Nuuk. Therefore, we are quickly back in the air after any downtime and it saves you costly interruptions to your venture in the short and hectic season.

SAFETY Safety is key when it comes to flight operations in the Arctic and for Air Greenland safety is an uncompromisable parameter. This entails making tough calls that may halter the immediate forward going momentum of an operation, but also means that everyone gets to go home to their families in one piece, when the job is done.

DIVERSIFIED PORTFOLIO SINCE 1960 No one comes close to Air Greenland when counting flight hours in Greenland and no one represents such a versatile span of flight related services in the country.

Air Greenland may in fact be one of the most diversified aviation companies in the world. This gives us a unique insight into numerous operational needs for Arctic aviation built on real-world experiences with both domestic and international clients.

Air Greenland holds the domestic contract for search & rescue (SAR) operations in Greenland through an agreement with Defence Command Denmark’s Arctic Command.

Air Greenland is also contracted by the US Air Force, regarding flight services for the Thule Air Base, and carries out Air Ambulance services under contract with the Greenlandic Government’s Ministry of Health.

Air Greenland Charter division handles all charter contracts within the Air Greenland Group- from chartered aircraft, scientific expeditions, SAR over heli-skiing and sightseeing, to construction projects, offshore flying and of course mineral exploration and mining operations.

If it is in Greenland and it involves a fixed-winged aircraft or a helicopter, the odds are good that we’ve done it, not just once, but numerous times before.

ROBUST HUMAN SKILLS AS WELL AS FIRM TECHNICAL SKILLS – THIS IS WHAT IT TAKES IN THE ARCTIC A significant part of our training efforts and assessment criteria are tailored around personality and behavioral traits. We’ve gone ever deeper into the science of personality profiling through the years, in order to create the right team culture and onboard pilots with a social skillset that adds layers of value to our clients’ operations.

Our pilots, after our preseason training, are on point when it comes to hard skills, but they also possess attitudes and social temperaments needed to function with any professional team over the duration of several intense field-camp days.

Safe and Competent Over the last 9 years, Air Greenland’s helicopter pilot training has systematically improved systems procedures, to a level where our customers never doubt pilot com-

petencies, qualifications and safety focus.

We aim to ensure that the technical skillset of our pilots is at the top of the game, ensured through rigorous training of already very experienced applicants from around the world. REMOTE CAMP MENTALITY With the right partners exploration and expeditions in Greenland are much more accessible than one might think. Due to seasonal weather and climate we tend to have a shorter operational window, thus efficiency is key. With Greenland’s vast geography and limited infrastructure, we also generally operate out of remote sites with limited access to “civilization” and a distinct close-quarter camp-based set-up for several months on end.

Conditions like these require the right skillset to get the job done as efficiently as possible, but also a robust professional and amenable personality. EXTERNAL SLING LOAD EXPERTS We offer leading capabilities within all aspects of services and flying, especially pertaining to external sling loads. It is not uncommon in an average season to be slinging loads nearing capacity of the AS350 with drill moves, some of these moves involve upwards of 25 sling loads per drill move. We offer all levels of Helicopter External Sling Load (HESLO), using modern vertical reference techniques to ensure extreme long lining precession. Carrying heavy loads in mountainous terrain is a core competency at Air Greenland Charter - where we offer up to 45m long-line slinging.

Our HESLO efficiency makes a world of difference in terms of time and resources spent, when mobilizing/ demobilizing your camp, transporting camp equipment and supplies, and resupplying a project. Often our highly experienced crews fly non-stop except to refuel and switch pilots as necessary, in order to get the job done. Operations can involve 4-7 hours of non-stop flying generally using 2-helicopters, with upwards of 200 sling loads or more.

OPERATING IN EXTREME CLIMATE Weather is the true king in the north. Storms can turn days from benign to hostile in a matter of hours and changing this is beyond the power of even us. However, through Air Greenland Charter you will find that our entire organization is at your back, supporting you from ramp-up planning to dismantling. MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN EXPERTS – FROM HELI-SKIING TO HESLO Flying in Greenland is spectacular - mountains with tens of thousands of lakes, gushing rivers, deep fjords, and ice sheet glaciers transforming into giant icebergs. We cover the entirety of this vast country and know each and every corner, through hundreds of missions and countless flight hours. Mountain terrain is everywhere you look in Greenland and it is our proven area of expertise - be it in training, in HESLO operations or tourist flights.

Heli-skiing has really become popular over the last ten years. Using an AS-350 helicopter, we fly skiers up to a mountain top, where they sweep down towards the fjord through virgin snow and jump aboard the helicopter again 20

to get another lift to the top. This is not just a great experience for our leisure guests, but also a great occasion for pilots to hone their skills. Heli-skiing flight demands and attracts exceptional pilots from around the world, and they bring their level of expertise and service mindset to all our clients.

Our precision HESLO capability level also requires the utmost of our skilled pilots within the boundaries of operational parameter.
