With a diverse background in strategy, management, and aeronautical engineering, Ines currently holds the position of Head of Sales and Marketing at ADSOFTWARE. Her focus is on redefining the company’s commercial policy and implementing strategies to drive sales growth and strengthen customer relationships. Previously, Ines worked as a Strategy and Management Consultant for four years, specializing in aeronautical projects for top industry players. Her previous experiences also include crisis management coordination at Airbus Helicopters and operational expertise as a Flight Operations Engineer at Héli-Union.

Aircraft IT: How did ADSOFTWARE get started?

IG: ADSOFTWARE’s journey began 25 years ago in a garage. Our CEO, Mr. Frederic Ulrich, originally destined to work for a European Agency as a developer, unexpectedly received a call from the CEO of Mont Blanc Helicopters, who had heard of his developer skills. Initially approached to address an issue regarding their finance software, Mr. Ulrich ended up redeveloping an entirely new software solution for the company. This experience ignited his passion for aviation, leading him to establish ADSOFTWARE, a dedicated software company serving the aviation industry.

Since its inception, ADSOFTWARE has grown rapidly, attracting numerous aircraft companies, developing CAMO and MRO solutions and more. Today, we proudly serve over 70 customers with a team of more than 25 dedicated professionals. Our continuous growth is a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing innovative solutions for the aviation sector.

Aircraft IT: What is the guiding business principle that drives ADSOFTWARE?

IG: The guiding business principle that drives ADSOFTWARE is a relentless commitment to delivering innovative and tailored software solutions that address the specific needs and challenges of the aviation industry. We firmly believe in providing exceptional value to our customers by continuously refining and enhancing our products to meet their evolving requirements. Our dedication to excellence, customer-centric approach, and deep industry expertise ensures that we consistently deliver reliable, efficient, and cutting-edge solutions that empower our clients to optimize their operations and achieve their business goals.

Aircraft IT: What has ADSOFTWARE’s greatest business achievement been to date, and why?

IG: ADSOFTWARE’s greatest business achievement to date has been its rise as a leading provider of helicopter maintenance solutions. Recently, we secured a significant contract with SAF Aerogroup, managing 122 helicopters. With a total of 800 helicopters now under our system, this accomplishment showcases our expertise and ability to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet the complex needs of the helicopter industry.

Aircraft IT: What have been your disappointments and what have you learned from them?

IG: One of our disappointments was our attempt to enter the Brazilian market through a software integrator who lacked expertise in the aviation industry. This experience taught us the importance of domain knowledge in aviation software solutions. We realized that a deep understanding of the intricacies of the aviation sector is crucial for success. Since then, we are only focusing on direct distribution of our product, allowing us to leverage our extensive expertise and in-depth understanding of the industry.

Aircraft IT: In a sentence, how would you summarize what ADSOFTWARE does for aircraft maintenance customers?

IG: software solutions that streamline and optimize aircraft maintenance processes for its customers, ensuring efficient operations and enhanced safety.

Aircraft IT: What do you feel will be the next big thing in maintenance Aviation IT?

IG: The next challenge for maintenance aviation IT lies in faster and smoother data transfers and exchanges. Streamlining the integration of aircraft data into maintenance information systems and enabling swift data exchanges will revolutionize the industry. Accelerating these processes will provide real-time maintenance operations, leading to enhanced efficiency and productivity in the aviation sector.
