CONTEXT

OnAugust 1,2022,Carrier GlobalCorporation("CarrierGlobal")and its affiliate(s) completed the acquisition of substantially all the shares in ToshibaCarrier Corporation("TCC")from Toshiba Corporation("Toshiba").

As part of the acquisition,TCC executeda trademark license agreement with Toshiba (the“TLA”), which governsthe use of theToshibatrademark (the“LicensedMark”) byTCC, its affiliate(s),and permitted thirdparties.ThisTLA sets out some changesin which TCC, its affiliate(s) andyou will access theToshibabrand in ourgo-to-market approach,andwe would liketo sharethese changes with you.Your continued cooperation will ensure our continuedaccess toanduse of theToshiba brand.

TOSHIBA LOGO USAGE GUIDELINES

LOGO

The Toshiba logo symbolises the Toshiba brand and is the onlyelement used as the “Toshiba Mark”. To maintain the integrityanddignityof the logo as the symbol of theToshiba Group, treat it with care and respect. The Toshiba logo is shown here, in its standard colour,Toshiba Red. For more information on Toshiba Red see page 15.

For accurate reproduction, the supplied digital filesshould always be used. Repurposing reproduction proofs, existing camera-ready art or printed materials will result in a loss of detailand legibility.

TheToshiba logo must stand alone and may not be combined with any other object.

CLEAR SPACE AND MINIMUM SIZE

CLEAR SPACE

Leave as much clear space as possible around the Toshiba logo.The minimum clear space around thelogo shouldbe equal to the height of theT in the Toshiba logo.Avoidplacingthe logo close to other characters or graphic elements.

MINIMUM SIZE

In print,the logo shouldbe at least 0.5 inches (13mm) wide. On-screen,it should be at least 40 pixels wide. These minimum size rules are a worst-case scenario, and the logo should be larger wherever possible.

Select a Toshiba logo with the appropriatesize for theprintmedia or digitalmedia you are working with by referring tothe table on the right. For media outside the size ranges specified on the right, whether extremely large or small, consider the use, viewing circumstance, and need for visibility, and select a Toshiba logo size for maximum visual impact.

The consistentuse of red is a fundamental element of Toshiba’s identity. Toshiba Red remains the core colour and is symbolic of Toshiba’s extensivehistory of commitment. This colour defines the precision and integrity of The Toshiba Groupacross the globe.

Whenthe backgroundcolour is Toshiba Red, use thewhite logo.For details on Toshiba Red, see page15.

Always ensure that the Toshiba logo is legible against backgrounds.Use the Toshiba Red version of thelogo overlight imagesanduse the white logo overdarkerimages.

Onlyuse the black version when colours are limited.

Whenusing unusualreproductionmethodssuch as silkscreen printing, embossing, foil stamping, or embroidery,always reviewproof from agencies to ensure legibility.

Do notuse thered version of thelogo on a black background,as it is difficultfor colour-blind or visually handicappedviewers to see.Always use thewhite logo against theblack background.

PLACEMENT

TheToshiba logo should appear onlyonce on a page(screen).

The top left-hand cornerof the page(screen) isthe preferred position forthe logo.

Dependingon the characteristics and contents of the medium, it can also be arrangedat the other three corners. Please consider the ideal placement dependingon the type of media.

THREE-DIMENSIONAL LETTERING

Three-dimensional letters can be used for the Toshiba logo on exterior walls of buildings, in signages, etc.

Reviewthe contract details with Toshiba Group beforeusing these letters, by the terms of the contract with Toshiba.

In principle, the three-dimensionalToshiba logo is displayedin Toshiba Red.

Silver (metals such as stainless steel) can substitute for white according to thelocation, surroundingenvironment,etc.

Change the colour of the side surface of the 3D letters as appropriate, with consideration for the brightness of the backgroundwall.

The shape and spacing of the letters of the Toshiba logo are as stipulatedon the right. Please follow the specifications strictly when processing and installing the Toshiba logo.

B. The warranty is issued by the distributor and not the manufacturer. As such, the Toshiba logo should not be used. Toshiba lettering can be used in conjunction with the product name.

C. The arrow marks are no longer in use and cannot be used at any time and place.
