As part of the Ainscough Industrial Services (AIS) Group of companies, we are continuing a legacy of specialist, and technically demanding lifting, logistics and maintenance services to support the wind energy sector, optimise effi ciency, reduce risk and prevent unscheduled downtime.

The AIS Group acquired AIS Wind Energy in 2019 and we have invested signifi cantly since then to ensure we have the vehicles, lifting equipment and skills available to work safely and cost-effectively with wind farm owners and operators, and their supply chain partners.

Wind Turbine Installation

Our wind turbine installation services include full logistics support and lifting capabilities for installing your wind turbine at any on shore wind farm or suitable wind turbine installation site.

Drawing on the experience of heavy, technical and complex lifting projects from across the AIS Group, our teams can load your wind turbine to transport at the point of manufacture, ensuring all components are safe and secure to maintain the integrity of the wind turbine throughout its journey to site. We will ensure that all the correct paperwork is in place for the wind turbine’s journey to site, and that any permits required for large loads are secured.

As wind turbine technology advances and wind farm assets come to the end of their service life, safe and efficient wind turbine decommissioning is an important part of maximising the potential input of wind energy to the grid.

We will create a detailed wind turbine decommissioning plan for you, including all safety requirements and a critical path for completion, taking into account the challenges, weather conditions and operational requirements of the specific wind farm or wind turbine location.

We can then load the wind turbine to transport ready for its onward journey for redeployment, upgrade, or recycling.

Wind Turbine Decommissioning

Our certifi ed technicians will isolate and electrically disconnect the wind turbine, so that our operatives can proceed to safely remove all components, document these components, then dismantle the wind turbine, before safely lifting it from the tower.

We can then load the wind turbine to transport ready for its onward journey for redeployment, upgrade, or recycling.

Our wind turbine decommissioning services include:
